They came out on a Thursday but were unable to finish that day; however, they called and said they would be back on Saturday to finish the job. They were out on Saturday and completed the job. Even though we were out of town during that week (which they were aware of), they left messages to inform us of their progress. We were very pleased when we arrived home. Our trees looked wonderful and our yard was clean. I called the company to tell them we were very happy with the job.

Davey Tree men arrived at 11:00 AM. They asked if I wanted any limbs removed. They had the 2 Silver Maples trimmed and the LI Lac bush and Silver Maple tree in the backyard removed by 1:00 PM. They cleaned up any mess.

The people were courteous, diligent, and thorough. They carefully pruned and removed debris without damaging our property or making the yard look like a mess. I did negotiate a compromise on the price but could probably have had a lower one from another company. Knowing the job would be done well, though, made it worth the extra dollars.

Excellent work by their crew.Cut the tree down in a matter of a couple of hours and cleared the debris.Came back at a later date and ground out the stump.

The gentlemen came the day they were supposed to show up. They were very friendly and professionally. They moved all the the lawn furniture away from the area. They removed the tree. They left the logs as asked at approximately 2 ft lengths. The very large pieces they cut into smaller logs. They placed the logs in a nice area and cleaned the yard, removing the small pieces. The put all the lawn furniture back in place.

We have had some challenges with our neighbors trees. They do no maintain them and they end up causing damage to our property. They are also not very healthy. We had Davey Tree come out to give us an estimate on the cost to trim some of the largest branches causing issues on our property. The arbortist, Sean, came out when we scheduled it and was very helpful and friendly. He explained that any further trimming of the tree would eventually kill it. He advised to just cut the trees down due to their health. We had tried to work with the neighbors before regarding this, and they were unwilling to allow us to cut them down (even at our cost). But Sean offered to talk to them personally and try to help them understand the situation. This went well beyond our expectations for him. He did his best to explain the situation, but was unsuccessful in getting them to allow us to cut them down. He did get the necessary approval to do the trimming that we requested. The work was done within several weeks of requesting it to be done. It was all done very well, and the clean up was excellent. Once again, Davey Tree did an outstanding job and we will continue to use them.

The job was done with a little difficulty The silver maple was done with out any problems . It was the Elm, as it was sitting on my property line with parts of two fence sections needing to removed so the tree could be taken all the way down to the stump and ground to mulch. The problem arose when it turned out that a part of the one fence was engulfed by the Elm. With permission received from my neighbor, they cut the fence and took the rest of the stump down then ground it to mulch. The crew was very professional and the clean up was totally complete, and they billed me later. I personally want to acknowledge Shawn for his professional, and curtious manner in the handling of my unique problem. I will happily recomend Davey Tree Services to others.

The yard was cleared of debris and branches, leaves, etc. The trees look great.

They were very prompt and efficient. This was one of the higher quotes we got so we didn’t choose them. Their initial contact with them was fine. They responded right back when I contacted them and made an appointment and that way they were more responsive than others. They answered all the questions. I would rate them high overall. They were pretty responsive and on time. I might use them again in the future.

I spent around $3000 on that work. They are very professional and are always on time. They did the job very carefully and it looked nice when it was done. They are very courteous, friendly and did exactly what they said they were going to do.

They were prompt and came when they said they would. They were very efficient and cleaned up well after himself. Removed all the branches as well. I had other quotes that were lower, but was more comforable with his presentation.

They were very professional. One employee came out within an hour of us calling because the tree was resting on our garage. Then he sent two men out to remove it later that day. They cut it down to a stump at ground level. We have used them before and would continue to use them in the future.

The whole experience was fast, easy and efficient. They came to do an estimate the day after I called. Their estimate was in line with others I received, and they gave me a lot of good information about my trees. They said they would do the service within two weeks, and I didn't have to be home. They did exactly that. I came home to find the trees trimmed and removed as they promised.

Bill was very professional, punctional, and knowledgeable. He explained exactly what they were quoting and why. They were just a bit more expensive than another Angie's A provider so I opted for the other company since this job is over $2500 and I'm trying to do the right thing but minimize cost.

I was in a panic because I was putting in a very expensive brick patio and the company I had hired previously to take out a tree and stump did not do it completely enough for the patio company to put in the patio. I called David and he came to my rescue within an hour - even though I lived outside of his working area... He was prompt, professional and thorough.... I would completely recommend him!!

The job went very well. We were able to modify the agreement signed from hauling all three trees away to hauling 2 trees away. The initial agreement choices were to keep all wood or have all wood hauled away. The workers were very courteous and the job took roughly 5 hours to complete. We were billed for their services two weeks later. They cleaned up the backyard removing as much of the wood chips as possible.

The Davey Tree Co. is great. They do a great job and they are not too expensive. I have used them in the past and I would use them again. They have done a better job for me than anyone else. They bring the equipment necessary to get up into a 30 foot tree and trim it properly. They seem to be the go-to company for arborist services in Columbus. I believe municipalities use them for power-line services. They are the biggest and most affordable.

Davey came on the day they scheduled, after making sure that we had our neighbor's permission to park their truck on neighbor's driveway so they could access the tree. The silver maple is quite large. Davey did a beautiful job removing the dead branches, large and small. They removed branches growing at bad angles, shaped the tree properly. They also pruned a large pine tree that the electric company had butchered, and removed many dead branches. They cleaned up all the braches and sawdust very well - no sign of the mess they made ! They gave us an excellent price, as January is very slow for tree companies. We had these trees trimmed just in time -- these trees had no damage/fallen branches from the ice/snow storms that followed.

I have not hired them yet. The quote was for $918 with a discount. They came out and looked at the tree while I was at work and left me a quote at the door. They were fine. They came out right away. They left the quote in a nice envelope and left their card. They also left a note at the bottom asking me to call them. I am leaning very strongly in their direction because of their excellent price. I am waiting for another quote from another company before making the decision.

We've used Davey in the past for trimming our trees. They always do a great job and cleanup is excellent.
