SHARPENING ON SITE

Louise was great. I emailed her about getting the 4 knives sharpened at our house. She responded that day and said that she had a $25 minimum (and our job would be $17), but would be at a store near our house the following Saturday, and to drop them off. We met her there, dropped them off, did some shopping, came back and picked them up. Knives were in great condition and the service was great. We'll be using her every 6 months for out kitchen knives for as long as we can.

She came to my home, which is very convenient! She is very skilled at what she does and did a great job sharpening my knifes and lawn mower blades. Very reasonably priced, almost too good to be true.

It worked before she sharpened it, but it felt easier to push and seemed to cut more grass afterwards.

She has a fee for showing up so we went with our neighbors to keep the fee low. She is just amazing! Not only does she do a good job but she is a wealth of knowledge. I would totally recommend her.

Easy and the work was very well done.

She responded to my phone message that same evening, telling me what she does, how she does it, and when she would be available. We scheduled the work about a week out. She was on time and does the work in her truck. I had to leave for an appointment right after she arrived so she left the sharpened knives and scissors in sheaths along with the bill right where I asked her to. I am delighted to have sharp knives and scissors again. I wish I had done it long ago and I will continue to use her services each year.

We made an appointment, she arrived right on time. I had many knives, scissors as well as few tools to be sharpened. She worked in the back of her truck the bulk of the afternoon. She gave me sleeves for everything. My kitchen knives were beautifully sharpened. They haven't been that sharp since the day I bought them, even though I have had them sharpened elsewhere many times. I will be calling for her to come back next year for sure.

I was very impressed. Louise was punctual in returning phone calls and on the day itself. She explained in detail what she would be doing with the tools and showed how to tell when things need sharpening or other problems needing adjustment (including being clear in pointing out one set of clippers that didn't need much help, and she didn't charge for the work she did on them). Once the work was all done she explained how to care for the knives, tools, etc., and what sorts of cleaning and oiling to give them if necessary, including a sheet on caring for the reel mower. The tools all came back with sheaths to protect (from) the newly sharpened edges. She also showed a "before and after" set of grass clippings from my mower to demonstrate how to tell when it is getting dull in the future. She was pleasant and highly professional throughout. Bonus: Because of her experience as an arborist she was able to answer a question about a tree in my yard as well.

I called Louise to ask about her pricing & general information. She was a lovely person to talk to. She sent me her price listing through the mail, and upon receiving I called her back to schedule an appointment. She returned my call within the day and we scheduled a time for her to come out. On the day of the appointment she was running a few minutes behind, but called all the phone numbers I provided her & left messages to let us know. Upon her arrival she set up her truck and began to work on the mower. She cleaned it (the mower had not been cleaned in 4 years), sharpened it and adjusted it. She tested it out on the lawn and it worked like a charm. The mower almost looks brand new! It cuts like a dream (before it looked like it was barely tearing the grass). She also provided instruction on how to clean and care for the mower. Overall, it was a great experience I only wish I had more things available for her to sharpen! I will definitely call her again for any sharpening needs.

When she came back, she took her time and sharpened our scissors, clippers and rotary cutting wheels. Because she brings her sharpening tools with her, we were able to work while she sharpened and did not have to lose any production time. Louise is a consummate professional, listened to what we wanted done and did the work beautifully. Everything was done to our satisfaction. Louise is so pleasant to work with, I look forward to having her come again.

Louise parked her van in front of my house, picked up my items and spent two-hours working on my scissors and knives. She took the time to examine each item prior to sharpening it and explained what and how she would handle it. She also detailed her pricing. The scissors had not been sharpened for years. They included paper, fabric, and pinking shears. All came out wonderfully sharp. She also gave plastic holders to protect the blades. With normal wear, she said they should be good for 3-years. I had recently had all of my knives sharpened by another person. In that situation, I had to send by knives out by FedEx and received them back 4 or 5 days later...longer if over the weekend. Louise sharpened two of my favorite knives on site. They were better than the prior sharpening! Best thing...nothing was gone for more than 2-hours!

As usual, the mower worked better after she'd worked on it. (I've not used the chipper-shredder since then.)

Louise called me back promptly and made an appointment to come here and sharpen what needed sharpening. She was here when she said she would be and very knowledgeable about pruning and taking care of the tools. This was a learning experience for me. I absolutely will use her services again. She repaired a lopper for me and a knife that had lost its tip. I was totally satisfied!

We had a great experience. Sharpening on Site were very responsive on the phone, and returned our calls more than once when our original appointment had to be cancelled. On the date of the appointment, the sharpener's truck pulled up, took our implements to her truck and returned to our door with everything razor sharp. She even had to create a new edge on our mulching blade as it was so knicked up and dull, she wasn't able to sharpen the existing blade.

Louise made it easy to schedule a time for her to drop by and sharpen my tools. I ended up having to be gone at our scheduled time, so I left the tools on the back porch. I returned home to find both pair cleaned and sharpened. Louise was willing to leave me a bill, and I sent her a check the next day.

Louise more than lived up to her reputation (that established by past comments). Responded quickly to my request and scheduled visit when I desired. Takes as much time as needed to put the item in as good a shape as possible and then tells you how to keep it in good shape in future. Charges by the item, not by the time. And prices are very reasonable. Will tell you if item not worth the expense. I had so much work (and had also alerted 3 neighbors who had work for her) that she spent 2 full days at the site. Her truck is very well outfitted for almost any job and she is very knowledgeable about different metals and utensils. I will definitely use her again, when needed, and have recommended her to many of my friends.

Two neighbors saw her truck at my home and brought their mowers over too while she was there. Very conscientious, very curteous, quality work done on all items. Very pleased!! Also, lawn care co told me even new mowers don't come with very sharp blades necessarily, so it pays to get even those mowers looked at. (FYI)

Wow! This lady is knowledgeable about the products she sharpens and does meticulous work! She was a little early and spent two hours working on my items to sharpen. She said that the price was a really good deal for me for which I thanked her. She requests that a minimum of $25 is spent each time she comes out. A regular lawn mower only costs as much as $13 so find other things for her to do. The items that she sharpened looked amazing when she was finished and she cared about safety as well by putting cardboard around the blades. She simply asked for a place to take the blade off the mower (I have a gazebo in the backyard) and a place to wash her hands and get some running water. (She used the hose for running water for the products and my bathroom to wash her hands.) The rest of the work is done in her office on wheels (a van). She was professional and thorough. I will use her every year!
