Sears Carpet Cleaning and Air Duct Cleaning

I had never used this company before so wasn't sure what to expect. I had viewed their prices online and asked Stanley Steemer to match the price... they didn't seem interested in fighting for my business so I gave Sears a try. I was pleasantly surprised. The technician called on her way and was VERY friendly! She did a thorough job and was detailed in giving advice on keeping my carpet at it's best! I DEFINITELY recommend them!

When we scheduled the service we were told that someone would call the night before and give us the times for our service window and as promised we got a call the evening before indicating that our service window was between 10 am and 1 pm and that our technician would call us when he ws on the way so wouldn't have to sit around and wait during the entire service window. Our technician "Albert" called around 10:30 a.m. to let me know he was on his way to our place and he arrived within 20 minutes. Upon arrival he asked me to walk with through all the rooms he'd be cleaning and he pointed out some specific areas that appeared to have some "fading" or "stains" so we could check them once he was finished to make sure they were cleaned per our specifications. Originally we specified that we wanted scotchguard applied only in our great room but as Albert progressed through the cleaning we disussed the areas that really get a lot of traffic and the add'l benefits that can be obtained by adding scotchguard to those areas as well. After discussion of benefits we decided to add Scotchguard to those other areas. We were really happy with both Alberts professionalism as well as his knowledge of the process and the products. We are sure to use Sears again in the future.

The staff was friendly. The older gentleman seemed to educate the younger one a lot. They were pretty good. They asked questions and made sure they were doing exactly what we needed or wanted. Overall the job went fine and my carpets were clean as we were hoping but I don't think they were horrible. They broke a connector on our sectional. I honestly haven't contacted them about it but I contacted the company we bought the furniture from and they said that they would come out and service it for free. The thing with Sears is that they never told me that they broke it.

We used sears cleaning last summer for carpet and air duct cleaning. They did great job. I am happy with it.

I signed up for the service online and shortly thereafter received a phone call to confirm the appointment. I ended up having to change the time of the appointment the day before, which wasn't a problem for Sears. The person who came to my home to do the cleaning was not very professional -- he didn't reattached a hose that he detached to access our outside water spigot, and he expected me to have towels or an old sheet to keep the wood floor dry.

I hired Sears to clean my carpet. They came on April 10, 2010 and parked on my driveway where they made damage to it due to chemicals spilled on the driveway. I called the office and they said that they will take care of it. The manager, Jack, came himself and had a look at it. He sent a worker to power wash it and that caused more damage. Then Jack called Ameriseal company to fix it and gave me their phone number. I called them about 4 times and they never showed up. I called Sears again about 5 times and nothing happened until now. I will hire a company to fix it and back charge Sears.

Went very well. The best experience we have had in cleaning carpets.

They did a good job. Those areas were all carpeted and they cleaned them all. They came on time. They delivered a good product. They did an excellent job of cleaning the carpet.

I love the job Sears Carpet Cleaning does. So far, they've been the only company I've used in the last 8 years. The gentlemen were on time and finished quickly. They've been able to get all the spots out of the carpet except for the orange drink that we let set. They do a good job cleaning up after themselves where the carpets are next to the wood floors. They'll move/clean under any furniture I've asked (though I think I've only asked for the living room furniture to be moved - couches, coffee/end tables, chairs).

They did a pretty nice job. They were prompt and professional.

He did a great job. He was on time and even called and came a little early. His price was right in there with everyone else. He was very professional and explained what he was doing as he did it.

They showed up on time, did a good job, and had the best price, for sure.

Things went fine. Workers arrived on time and completed the job without a problem. The carpet was clean and smelled fresh when the job was complete.

There were very prompt, the price was reasonable. They came recommend and i think that they lived up to what everyone said about them. They were very polite and professional when they arrived at our home.

They are very good they are a well known company and their customer service is very helpful. The workers were very hospitable and were helpful in providing products to help clean the carpets, Sear trains it's workers well.

I have used this company for the past nineteen years. I have a lot of traffic patterns in my house that they always seem to get clean. I graded them to leave room for improvement.

They did a great job compared to what I had done before. They were very professional. I would use them again in the future. I would recommend them to friends and family. They got the job done very fast.

Scheduled to begin on a Monday morning at 8:30. The service person (Butch Kline) was there right on time. We talked about what I wanted done and the process, then he began. This was a one-man job for him, and he performed very well. Sanding and first coat of something (not sure what it was) was done on the first day, and then two coats of finish were applied on Tuesday. He was cleaned up and done after lunch the second day. To sum up the service, Butch was 1) On time, 2) Professional, 3) Took time to address my questions and concerns, and 4) Left my house as it was before he got there. What more could you ask for? The finish took only a day to set up, but he told me to only walk on it in stocking feet the first few days. It was completed on a Tuesday, but after 4 days I have still to move any furniture back in the room. I want to be sure the finish look as good a month from now as it does now!

The salesman, Jack, did a great job explaining the cost and the time involved. It took 2 days to sand down the floors, seal, and apply 2 top coats. The worker, Butch, was very nice and trustworthy. I felt comfortable, leaving him in my home, while he completed the work. The floors look like new. I was surprised that the years of abuse from the previous homeowner (dogs), were able to be sanded away.

I took the day off. The air duct cleaning was scheduled for October 12 pm. They had to reschedule due to double booking. They arrived on time at 3 PM. The representative looked at the furnace and could not work it. They mainly did carpet cleaning. The furnace is a heat pump/electric combo.

I had received a coupon from Sears, and the overall price looked very reasonable, so I thought I'd give them a try. They did an adequate job, although several stains still showed faintly once the carpet had dried. I know I could have called them back to correct the problem, but I decided I could live with the situation. I was surprised that they didn't place protectors under chair legs, etc., but that didn't result in any staining. The foreman kept trying to sell me additional services and products, something I never like. I doubt I will use Sears again, as I have been much happier with other companies.

TIM DID AN EXCELLENT JOB. WAS LATE ON THE FIRST DAY, BUT CALLED 2-3 TIMES TO LET ME KNOW WHERE HE WAS/WHEN HE WOULD GET THERE. EXTREMELY POLITE AND CONSIDERATE.

SEARS WAS VERY REASONABLY PRICED, $100 CHEAPER THAN ANOTHER COMPANY I CALLED AND THAT WAS INCLUDING A COUPON FOR THAT COMPANY! THE TECHS THAT CAME WERE VERY PERSONABLE AND THOROUGHLY EXPLAINED WHAT THEY WERE DOING. THEY WERE ABLE TO SCHEDULE ME FOR THE FOLLOWING DAY AND PHONED TO LET ME KNOW WHEN THEY WERE ON THEIR WAY. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT THE AREA AROUND THE VENTS WAS DIRTY AFTER THEY LEFT. THEY PUT FOAM DOWN TO PREVENT THIS FROM HAPPENING (I ASSUME THAT'S WHAT IT WAS FOR), BUT I STILL FOUND LARGE CHUNKS OF DEBRIS AROUND THE VENTS. ONE OF THESE VENTS WAS RIGHT NEXT TO MY FOUR MONTH OLD'S BASKET OF TOYS WHICH HE, OF COURSE, PUTS IN HIS MOUTH. I'M A BIT DISAPPOINTED THAT THEY DIDN'T EITHER WARN ME THAT DIRT WOULD COME OUT OF THE VENTS LIKE THAT, OR MOVE THE TOYS. ASIDE FROM THAT ONE COMPLAINT, I WOULD USE THEM AGAIN, JUST KNOW TO MOVE ANYTHING IN THE WAY NEXT TIME!

THEY WERE VERY CLEAN AND VERY CONSCIENTIOUS. THEY DID A GREAT JOB.

OUR FLOORS LOOK FANTASTIC!! WE WERE REFERRED TO SEARS BY A FRIEND, AND WE ARE VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. TIM IS A TRUE CRAFTSMAN. HE WORKED 8-HOUR DAYS WITHOUT BREAKS, AND SPENT MUCH OF THAT TIME ON HIS HANDS AND KNEES, CAREFULLY SANDING AROUND BUILT-IN PIECES, RADIATORS, POWER CORDS, ETC. HE RECOMMENDED THE BEST STAIN TO MATCH OUR WOODWORK, AND GAVE US GREAT ADVICE ON THE FINISH TO APPLY THAT WOULD STAND UP TO 2 KIDS AND 2 DOGS. WE NOW HAVE GORGEOUS, RESTORED RED OAK FLOORS, WITH A WALNUT STAIN, THAT LOOK LIKE THEY WERE LAID YESTERDAY INSTEAD OF OVER 100 YEARS AGO.
