HE ALSO POINTED OUT SOME CORRODED VALVES AND SMALL LEAKS FOR US TO REPAIR IN THE FUTURE.
Description of Work: PILOT LIGHT WAS OUT DUE TO RECENT BASEMENT WATERPROOFING... HE LIT THE PILOT LIGHT, SHOWED US HOW TO LIGHT IT AGAIN, AND INSPECTED THE FAUCETS, PIPES, AND DRAINS. HE MADE SURE THAT THE DRAINS (THAT THE BASEMENT WATERPROOFING COMPANY HOOKED OUR WATER SOFTENER UP TO) WERE DRAINING PROPERLY.

I'VE ALWAYS HAD ROTO-ROOTER RESPOND TO OUR HOUSEHOLD PROBLEMS WITH LIGHTENING SPEED, BUT THIS TIME THE TECHNICIAN HAD TO KEEP EXTENDING THE TIME HE WOULD SHOW UP BECAUSE OF OTHER JOBS. I THINK THIS WAS A ISOLATED CASE, THOUGH. I WOULD HIRE THEM IN THE FUTURE.
Description of Work: CONDUIT FROM WELL WAS STICKING OUT OF BASEMENT WALL AND GUSHED WATER INTO OUR BASEMENT WITH EVERY HEAVY RAIN... TECHNICIAN SEALED IT FOR US WITH FOAM AND CEMENT. HE SAID WE COULD DO IT OURSELVES, BUT I OPTED FOR HIM TO DO IT FOR US... BEING NEW TO HOMEOWNERSHIP.

EVEN THOUGH IT WAS NOT AN EMERGENCY THEY OUT THE SAME DAY WE CALLED. THE GUYS THEY SENT OUT WERE NICE PEOPLE. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THAT BOTH JOBS WERE VERY EXPENSIVE.
Description of Work: ***DRAIN PIPE INSTALLATION -EXTERIOR*** AND ***PLUMBING - DRAIN CLEANING***OUR DOWN SPOUT UNDER GROUND DRAIN PIPES WERE BLOCKED. ONE WAS BROKEN AND THE OTHERS WERE PARTIALLY BLOCKED BY TREE ROOTS. THEY ALSO UNCLOGGED/SNAKED THE MAIN SEWER LINE AND A SINK DRAIN TOO. BOTH JOBS WERE ABOUT $400 EACH.

MAXO SEEMED AN ESPECIALLY COMPETENT EMPLOYEE WHEN WE HAD THE LINE SNAKED. I WOULD ASK FOR HIM.
Description of Work: THIS WAS COMPLICATED WORK AND A BIG JOB, AND NO OTHER COMPANY COULD OR WOULD EVEN TRY TO MATCH THEIR QUOTE. HERE''S WHAT THEY DID. EIGHTY FEET OF OUR ANCIENT 1916-INSTALLED SEWER LINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. NOT ONLY THAT. OUR BEAUTIFUL, HEALTHY, GIANT MAPLE TREE SITS RIGHT OVER THE LINE. NORMALLY, WOULD HAVE TO HAVE KILLED THE TREE TO LAY ALL THAT LINE. USING THE LATEST TECHNOLOGY, THEY DUG TWO PITS AT EITHER END OF THE DEFECTIVE LINE, AND SHOT NEW PIPE THROUGH THE OLD, ESSENTIALLY. DID A GREAT JOB CLEANING UP AFTER. DESPITE HAVING TO MOVE MUCH DIRT, NONE OF THE GRASS AROUND THE PITS WAS KILLED. OUR TREE IS STILL DOING GREAT, AND OUR SEWER TROUBLES ARE OVER. ALSO, PRIOR TO THIS WORK, THEY HAD TRIED TO SNAKE OUT THE LINE (HONORING THEIR 0NE-YEAR WARANTEE) 3 TIMES BEFORE WE AGREED TO LET THEM CAMERA THE LINE. THAT SHOWED THE SOURCE OF TROUBLE - CRUMBLING CLAY TILE, GIANT ROOTS.

POINTED OUT FLAW IN MY PLUMBING THAT MADE IT CLOG EASIER WHICH I CORRECTED (VERY APPRECIATED). DISPATCHER ON TELEPHONE WAS SLIGHTLY RUDE AND DIDN''T CALL CELL PHONE WHEN ANSWERING MACHINE TOLD THEM TO, DELAYING PLUMBER''S ARRIVAL.

THEY WERE ATTENTIVE AND PERSONAL AND THEIR BID WAS IN THE MIDDLE OF ALL OF THEM THAT I GOT.
