Rachael Ross Upholstery

Called Rachel, she gave me a tentative telephone estimate, advised me on the amount of fabric needed and suggested some fabric stores. She picked them up, kept them for 2 weeks (I wasn't in any hurry) and delivered them back. They look great and are much more comfortable as she re-padded them.

Rachel's work was exceptional, her prices were very good, she completed the work as she promised, and her professionalism outstanding. We would not go anywhere else for reupholstery work.

Rachael could not have been more responsive or professional in her service. My wife and Rachael discussed the proper fabrics (based on the chairs use) and helped guide us in our choices (fabric purchased separately from another source). The upholstery work on the chair is of high quality as is the slip-cover we had made for the chair for summer use, the attention to detail was exceptional and we will continue to use Rachael Ross for all of our upholstry needs. I found Rachel a number of weeks before we made a final decision as to whether or not to reupholster a favorite chair. She gave me complete and thorough information that I needed to make the decision whether to reupholster. she also shared a little history of how she got started their business, which I found interesting.. The estimate she gave me was well within the range that we were thinking of, and was exactly what our final bill was. However she said she does not provide cloth for reupholstering, but works with whatever cloth the customer provides. This worked out well for us as we were trying to match some difficult colors in are very small library room.. I went on the web and found a number of sites that have hundreds of different kinds of upholstery materials and selected the ones that work best with our room. We had the material ready when Rachel arrived to pick up the chair. While she said she would have it ready in about two weeks it actually took closer to three weeks. However this was not a problem for us, as we were still completing the painting and refinishing of our room. After she delivered the chair and saw her work, we are very pleased at her professionalism and craftsmanship of her work. We also asked her – after the fact – whether she could make armrests slipcovers, as that was the part that wore most quickly. She did not hesitate on this and said she would be happy to do them. She delivered them the next day. Overall I would highly recommend Rachel and her services; she is definitely customer focused and is an excellent craftsperson.

I tried to sew these myself and called to get an estimate. She was willing to do them, was very prompt, organized and she did a wonderful job.

Excellent experience. Rachel gave me an estimate over the phone and told me how much material to buy for each piece of furniture. We agreed that she'd do the work in two batches. She picked up and delivered the furniture. The sofa was a sleep sofa, and she removed the bed so it wasn't so heavy, left it here, then reattached it when she brought the finished piece back. Rachel finished the pieces within the time she told me it would take. All the pieces look very professional, and cost half the price a local store quoted me.

Rachael picked up the work and gave me a card with the approximate finish date. The delivery was about a week longer than promised. The pillows and chair are amazing. The quality of work is really top-notch and I am quite pleased. I will definitely use her again.

As agreed she promptly picked up the five chair seats, took little longer than expected, with excellent results. I will not hesitate to recommend.

Not well. I called and as requested in the voice mail, left a detailed message as to what I was looking for, that I got her name from Angie's List and left my phone number. I did not receive a call back after a week so I called again and left a similar message. After not hearing for another week, I contacted a different name on Angie's List. When I called, the person in charge answered the phone and answered all my questions. I guess I was surprised that someone who finds customers on the Internet do not have other ways, such as email, to return customer requests.

Another fantastic job. I've used Rachael before and she's always done outstanding work for me.

Rachael returned my call within a day and we tentatively scheduled a day the next week for me to drop off the cushion. She requested that I call about an hour before coming. She also said she might be able to repair it the same day, depending on her other jobs, if I could leave it with her for a few hours. The day that I went to her home to drop off the cushion, she warned that she had a big job and probably would not be able to repair it that day. When she saw the cushion, she asked me to wait and immediately restitched the cording within a couple of minutes. She's very nice to deal with and did exactly what I needed in record time.

Rachael did a fanstatic job! They are great and she is a very professional . After I purchased the material, which had the exact colors I wanted, I worried the material might be too bright. When she delivered the slipcovers I was delighted for they are beautiful and look great on the chairs.

She did a great job. The details were fine and it looks great. Everything went very smooth.

I called Rachel and told her what I needed. She offered suggestions as to fabric, fabric store, and options to keep the cost affordable. She gave me an estimate over the phone, including cost of picking up the sofa, and a time table for completion. She kept to her estimate, provided additional work on the cushions of the sofa at no additional cost, and completed work as scheduled. I had not originally asked her about the chair; however, she when she picked up the sofa, she gave me a price to recover the chair, and took it with her.

The work was very good, looks better than new. But the cushions seem to fit looser, so that small gaps show when you sit on it. Not a major issue by any means. It did take her longer than expected to do the work because of several urgent projects, but I was happy to wait and happy with the results. Plus, Rachael is really pleasant to work with.

My overall experience was great. Rachael and I communicated through e-mails and her estimated delivery time was right on. The chairs turned out beautiful! Exactly what I was hoping for. Her cost was much less than other Re-upholstering companies I contacted. She picked up and delivered the chairs as well.

In August 2007 I called Rachael to get an estimate on slipcovering a piece I've dragged around the country for the last 15 years without using. She gave me an estimate without seeing the piece and stuck to the price even after she made some additional repairs I didn't now the chaise needed! Initially, Rachael was a little tough to get in touch with, but when we finally connected and set a date, she came to our home and picked the piece up. The work took more than a month to complete (longer than anticipated), with OUTSTANDING results. She also delivered the chaise back to us. I'll be happy to call on Rachael for future upholstery needs.

After calling Rachael, she responded immediately, e mailed me her estimates based on the description of the furniture. She arrived 2 days later to give me choices of where to look for fabric. After purchasing the fabric, I called her back, she promptly picked up the chair/ottoman. Her turn around time is 3 weeks or less, but the sofa she did even before promised. The wind storm delayed delivery, but that was understandable. Rachael is professional, the furniture looks fantastic!!

She has been fine. We had a little difficulty getting a hold of each other. She offered to come and pick up the pillow, and I think that she has excellent prices.
