+ -1 moreFrom the beginning Bill Tinsky Jr. was very polite, and provided us with several options for a new furnace. When we decided to go with Protech Northland and faxed over a signed quote, they were able to come out in two days and install the new furnace. The installer was on time and very quick. It took him only 3.5 hours to complete the installation.
Description of Work: We had a new furnace installed. They had to redo some of the duct work and extend the gas line to match-up with the new furnace.

Description of Work: NORTHLAND DID A SYSTEM MAINTENANCE CHECK FOR US, ESPECIALLY THE ELECTRONIC AIR FILTER AND THE AIR CONDITIONING SYSTEM. THE ELECTRONIC AIR FILTER HAD A MAJOR PROBLEM THAT WAS FIXED IN TWO BUSINESS DAYS. ALTHOUGH THE PART WAS EXPENSIVE ($332.00), THE SERVICE, ETC. WAS OUTSTANDING.

+ -1 moreTHE ORIGINAL SERVICE CALL WAS $69 AND THE SERVICE PERSON WAS ABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE PROBLEM VERY QUICKLY. HE THEN ESTIMATED THE PART AT ANYWHERE FROM $120-300. IT WAS $202 IN THE END, (I LOOKED ONLINE AND COULDN'T FIND IT FOR LESS THAN $250), AND THE LABOR TO INSTALL IT WAS $18. ALL IN ALL A GOOD EXPERIENCE, AND WOULD CALL ON THEM AGAIN.
Description of Work: THEY REPLACED A CONTROL BOARD IN OUR TRANE HEATING/AC UNIT. (UNIT WAS FLASHING 3 TIMES INDICATING PRESSURE SWITCH ERROR ALTHOUGH IT WAS THE CONTROL BOARD THAT WAS BROKEN)

STRUCTURAL REPAIR WORK WAS NEEDED IN THE BASEMENT, AND THEY SUGGESTED THAT THE OLD FURNACE BE PULLED OUT LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE THAT WORK DONE, THEN INSTALL THE NEW ONE. THAT GAVE THE CARPENTERS FREEDOM TO WORK WHERE THEY NEEDED TO . THEY RETURNED TO INSTALL THE NEW FURNACE AS SOON AS THE CARPENTERS WERE DONE. THE STRUCTURAL WORK WAS COMPLETED MORE QUICKLY BECAUSE OF THIS.
