Description of Work: We are a repeat customer for Phillips Basement and Waterproofing. We had beams installed on one wall our basement. We were happy with their work in the past and remain extremely satisfied with all aspects of our experience. They are fair, honest, professional and do not oversell or try to over pressure you to use their company (unlike others in this business). They left the job site clean and did everything they said they would - no surprises or extra cost. I highly recommend them.

Description of Work: They installed steel beams, put in a water control system and sump pump. They also took up a back patio. They were on time and did exactly what they said. The cleanup was perfect. They even followed to make sure everything was okay. I'd give them an A+!

Description of Work: Spent a lot of time helping to diagnose and offer solution to outside water draining into our condominium basement . More of a challenge because of the close proximity to other dwellings . They installed french drains on exterior walls and were as tidy and considerate as anyone could hope for considering that they had to jackhammer and remove portions of our basement floor . Problems solved!!!

Description of Work: We ended up not needing them to do anything in our basement but he spent a lot of his time gratis, giving us tips on what to do with our slightly smelly basement. If we ever actually need something done, we know who we are going to call.

Description of Work: Did a complete inspection of basement and exterior of home to diagnose draingage problems. Identified problem as being drainage from downspouts to streets. Replaced drainage pipe on both sides of house to the street and brought in mounds of dirt to improve grading around the foundation of the house. Covered ditches dug and planted new grass seed. Was impressed by knowledge of Ryan who provided several suggestions on how to minimize moisture in the basement, the information Bruce provided when the crew came out to replace drainage pipe, particularly his suggestions on how to maximize drainage, and the crews effective, efficient, and hard work. A crew of four workers completed the work in about six hours. I highly recommend this business for consumers who are having drainage problems, water issues in the basement, and concerns about sump pumps. By using Angie's List, I got an excellent contractor and saved several thousand dollars. Prior to Ryan's visit, I had one contractor tell me that we needed to drill weep holes all around the foundation of our basement, dig a drain inside the basement, and dig around the exterior foundation to install new drainage pipe at a whopping cost of $18,000! Buyer beware if you hear a contractor tell you need this radical construction to solve your drainage problem and call Phillips for another opinion.

Description of Work: Ryan came out to evaluate my basement, suggested a few things i could do to improve the humildiy levels, actually cleaned a filter for me said i could fix it myself and did not charge me. He did not try to sell me anything i did not need was honest and extremely helpful. would not hesitate to use him if i had any more problems.

Description of Work: We called Phillips Waterproofing, because we had water leaking through one basement wall. Ryan came out to our home to go over our problem and he was very professional. We examined the basement wall from the inside and then looked at our home from the outside. Ryan determined that the problem could be fixed with us fixing some straight forward drainage problems. He showed us where one downspout was not connected into our underground drain. That disconnect was causing the water to flow out of the downspout, into the ground and seep through the basement wall. We will correct our issue when we fix our downspout with one trip to the hardware store and the grading of our property on that side of the house. We appreciated his time and talking with him. He gave us good ideas for fixing the problem on both the inside and outside.

Description of Work: COMPANY ADVISED NO WORK NECESSARY. JUST PAINT WALLS WITH SEALANT WAS ALL THAT WAS NEEDED. THEY DON'T DO THAT. EASY DO-IT-YOURSELF JOB.

Description of Work: PHILLIPS' BASEMENT WATERPROOFING REPAIRED A LEAKING BASEMENT WALL. THEY REMOVED APPROXIMATELY A FOOT OF CEMENT AROUND TWO BASEMENT WALLS, REMOVED THE OLD DRAINAGE SYSTEM, PUT IN A NEW SYSTEM, BETTER GRAVEL, AND THEN REPOURED THE REMOVED AREA. THEY ALSO REPLACED OUR SUMP PUMP.
