Orkin Pest Control

They are very professional and they come out promptly. Their representatives are very nice and easy to work with. In the past 22 years, they’ve probably missed just one call. I pay them $56 a month. They are the only people that I deal with that send the bill out before the service. I am not comfortable with that but I’ve learnt to live with it. I would rate them highly and would use them in the future.

I first met with Dennis Roberts, Pest Specialist, who assessed my situation. Based on his assessment of his findings and the fact he identified pests as termites in a woodpile in my garage, I decided to enter into Orkin’s termite treatment program. The following day, Dennis returned with Jay Wells, Inspector, to finalize what work had to be done. At Jay’s recommendation, I also decided to have dry-zone poly added to my crawl space. Both Jay and Dennis took the time to explain in a very thorough manner what treatment was needed and how the job was to be done. Their knowledge of their job and professionalism is exemplary. The Orkin Employees completed the work in one day and completed all tasks as promised. At all times Orkin Employees displayed a professional attitude and was very courteous. The motivation and conscientiousness displayed by them clearly exhibited their high degree of expertise and dedication toward their duties and responsibilities. Most noteworthy was the fact that neither Jay nor Dennis used high-pressure sales tactics. They presented the facts in a very professional manner, which made me very comfortable in making a decision to have the work completed. The performance of the Orkin Crew clearly demonstrates that Orkin only hires high quality individuals.

The service this company provides from start to finish is above and beyond. They even have the Manager come out and check the work to make sure we are happy and the work was performed exactly the way we were told by the inspector. Since we did'nt have extra money laying around we were able to finance the work that was needed. We decided to definatly get the termite work done and do the insulation in a couple months when we get our tax return. We will highly reccomend this company again.

They do very good work. We have a yearly contract with them. They come every quarter. The work done by them is excellent. If we ever need them, we just call their guys and they come over. It is great. When they come up for follow-up, they don’t charge us. They send us the bill. If we have a problem with the mosquitoes, they’ll come out and spray for mosquitoes.

There price is pretty much the same as any other pest control company. The service person that comes to my place is really great and he has pointed things that we did not know about and brought that to our attention, so, we can take care of that. He is very knowledgeable, comes on the same day that he is scheduled to come and I really haven't had any issues at all. He is good and I am happy with them.

I pay them each time they come out. I think that their service is fine. I like that if I have any problems in between services I can call and they will come right back out. They don't call before they come out they just show up and do the servicing.

They do a good job; I never have any pest problems.

They are reliable. I don't really think they are super great. But I had a contract with the previous owners, that is why I use them. I would use this company again in the future.

Mistake #1- Didn't check Angie's List. Orkin is THE name, so I called the 800#, which took the info and said the Worthington office would call me. And they did. Set the appointment for Labor Day. Clearly and specifically Labor Day. No show, no call. When the 800# called back a week or so later to see how things had gone, I told him. He took all the info from me. Again. And said the Worthington office would call me. And they did. Set up an appointment for 4pm-6pm. Dopey me didn't write down the *day*. So when I called two days later to confess my carelessness and find out which day, they could find no record of my call or appointment. Not until I mentioned that he was originally supposed to come out on Labor Day did she remember the call, but still couldn't find any records. She took my number, was embarrassed and apologetic, and said he would call me. Which he never did.

They have been dependable and responsible. I would continue to use them in future.

They are super. You can have a monthly of a yearly fee. They provide good service and are courteous and nice people to work with.

We think Orkin Pest Control is very good and very professional. They come out once a month during the season. When we moved into our house, we had carpenter ants, as the former owner had a stack of firewood piled against the house. We had used other companies before and we decided to give Orkin Pest Control a try. Although we’ve had different people from Orkin Pest Control come out to do work, we’ve always thought that they were always very professional and courteous. They have always been very responsive to any problems that we’ve had. They’ve been around a long time. We have a contract with Orkin Pest Control and we pay them annually.

See above. Basically, don't call Orkin unless you like waiting around for a return phone call that will never be made.

Orkin always does a good job. This last visit was in response to a call I placed the day before with a yellow jacket problem. They were out the very next day and sprayed the nest. They even called the next day to see if the problem was gone. Also came back a few days later to check the nest to make sure there was no more activity! That is commitment! I am very pleased with their service.

THEY ARE VERY DISCREET, THEY ARE PROMPT CALL BEFORE THEY COME. THEY ARE SENSITIVE TO THE FACT THAT I HAVE DOGS AND MAKE SURE THAT THEY ARE NOT USING SOMETHING DANGEROUS. THEY ARE HERE AS SOON AS WE NEED THEM. MY HUSBAND SAW A BUG ONE NIGHT, THE NEXT DAY ORKIN WAS HERE AT 10 AM. THEIR PRICE IS EXTREMELY REASONABLE. THEY DID SUCH A GOOD JOB ON THE BEES THAT I DIDN T HAVE ANY THIS YEAR. THEY TREAT INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF MY HOME.

Extremely well! A large bunch of yellow jackets overtook our kid's playroom. Luckily, of all the exterminating companies that I called in my area, Orkin is the only company that called back, and I mean immediately. This was on the Friday before the Labor Day weekend and I was a bit of a panic (two bees became 40+ in a matter of minutes) Tom Green told me he would come out in the morning when the bees would not be too aggressive). Early the next morning he was here bright and early and with bug spray in hand he quickly took care of the hive and we haven't seen one since.

They were professional and courteous. They cleaned up everything. They were wonderful. I would recommend them to anyone. Even the office manager, Steve, was very nice.

I have used them for them for six years and have no problems. They always come out if there is an issue and correct it. They are courteous and conscious of the surroundings.

This was the first time we had used their services. Everything went great. They were recommended so we gave them a call. They gave us an estimate and came out a couple days later to do the work. They came on time, were polite and informative.

Orkin had performed pest inspection and removal services for 3 years. In the early winter of 2007 an Orkin man came for a routine pest inspection and treatment. The resident was inside the house and noticed that the employee simply walked around the house at approximately 7 to 8 feet from the exterior which took all of 3 minutes and charged $90.00 for this "service"! The exact path of the Orkin man's "inspection" was easy to determine as his boot prints were very evident in the fresh snow. He neither inspected or treated for pest but still thought he could charge for this. The service was promptly canceled the next week by a call to the company. They confirmed the cancellation of the service on the telephone. The following months, service continued despite the cancellation. We ask for a written confirmation of the cancellation and still have not received it. After refusing to pay for the additional unauthorized services Orkin submitted the bill to collections.
