Ellen was on time she was a great help in purging. I like that she takes the items with her and she gives you a receipt.

After meeting with Ellen for only three hours, we accomplished so much! We will be having her back on a regular basis throughout the summer to help us reach our goal of a clutter-free, organized home. In three hours, Ellen was able to tour the house and help identify problem areas, offer suggestions as to the underlying cause of the clutter, and even jump right in and organize the kitchen. She was right there with me on the floor, pulling items out of the cupboard, wiping down the shelves, and re-organizing. It is amazing how much more efficient the layout of the kitchen is with just a few minor adjustments as to where to store things. I have read lots of books on de-cluttering and organization and have been in cycles throughout the years where I feel I have the clutter under control, but then it sneaks back in again. With Ellen, I have hope that I will deal with the clutter this summer and be able to maintain a clutter-free, organized home for good!

I value her so much and I've referred her to a million people. I found Ellen Limes from Organized By L from Angie's List. I feel that the pricing is fair. She's one of those folks that when she arrives, she's very personable but she's all about business and getting into the work. Not only can she help you organize something and help you carry out that organization but she also can provide that kind of feedback like "you might want to move these shelves over here", that kind of thing. I will definitely use her again.
Description of Work: We worked on my garage. Part of the challenge, we were preparing to add a lift and various other things for my garage for my father who need mobility assistance and so I needed to move some things around and that's where her expertise is great.

Ellen has a gentle way of challenging decisions about what to do with STUFF. i have no reservations in recommending her.

Ellen Limes, the owner, and her team spent two days moving us in to our new home in Columbus. Our family moved from Seattle to Columbus, and with six young children my husband and I needed help getting our children settled in to our new home and city. Since we moved into our home in early August, using Organized by L to organize our move, allowed us to be able to focus on our children and get them comfortable in Columbus prior to the start of school.
Description of Work: Organized by L prepared my new home for our move in by finding a housekeeper to clean, finding a carpet cleaner, protecting the floors, and lining shelves. Organized by L unpacked the boxes from our move and organized our items in our home.

Ellen was fantastic. I had so many boxes from a previous move that I was unable to get to for over six years, along with disorganized toys and kitchen overflow. She helped me thin out what I didn't need to take with me on my move and to organize everything else. She also helped me figure out how to keep things organized once I got to the new house. She also reached out to members of her profession in Dallas to make sure I had help after the unpack to make sure I got things organized on this end.
Description of Work: Ellen came in to help organize my entire basement, about 1000 square feet and also my kitchen. I used her for 2.5-3 days. Price is by hour.

Ellen was fantastic. I'm a talker, and she kept me on track, while still being friendly and listening to my stories. She had great ideas and useful suggestion for products that would be helpful in organizing files, paper, loose change, magazines, kids' art, mail, etc. We have tons of clutter, because we sold our first house very quickly and didn't have the time to go through stuff before we moved...she's coming back to help as we go through each room.

Ellen has been wonderful to work with so far! She has been here three times and we made significant progress each time. She keeps me focused on the task at hand and helps to keep things light-hearted. Going through clutter is anxiety-provoking for me, so her kind and gentle, yet guiding, manner is very helpful to me. She does not judge me or shame me for my clutter. She is just there to help. I like that she actually goes through stuff with me, rather than making me go through every little item by myself. This helps me to keep moving along and on to the next item. We have pitched a lot of junk and made space for the things I choose to keep. She takes items to be donated with her at the end of our session, which has been extremely helpful to me as well. I would highly recommend Ellen to anyone feeling "stuck" and overwhelmed by clutter in their home. She will get you moving and motivated with her no-nonsense and "can do" approach!
Description of Work: I have hired Ellen to help me declutter my entire home. We are going through clutter together, room by room, and pitching lots of junk, donating usable items, and organizing what I choose to keep.

I will be using Ellen's services again....she is awesome!
Description of Work: Ellen is amazing! I've had her over twice....first time was during the heat of the summer and tackled my garage. What was once a cluttered mess is now well organized and I know where everything is located! Second time, we attacked the guest room....that was a hot mess! Ellen and I went through the closet of bad outfits and were able to salvage many to donate. The amount of stuff removed was a bit dumbfounding. I have some medical issues which physically limits me from doing some things ...without Ellen, I would not have made the progress on either the garage or guest room. She not only did an amazing job, she's also a great motivater. I will have Ellen back! :)

The only reason I gave the price a 'B' is that it was a bit more than others, however--YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR!!!!!!! It was well worth the money!
Description of Work: Ellen is great. She is so nice and helpful without being pushy. She only wants to please you and help you rid yourself of the burden you have that you need help with. She re-organized 2 of my closets and one she tore out, and put up a new closet system. We love it! She is so skilled at carpentry. She is a blessing. I would highly recommend her!

With a big work project coming up, I needed to clean out my home office, which was unusable. It had become a repository of stray objects, papers, memorabilia, books, files, paperwork, boxes, mail, etc. Piles of stuf everywhere! I had been working at the kitchen table since I couldn't use my own desk anymore. Ellen showed up and with in four hours, I had a tidy, rearranged, usable office. My files had been cleaned out and reorganzied. The floor was nearly clear of boxes. My desk now had room for my computer and necessary papers.My bookcase shelves were recategorized. I actually enjoyed the process. I'm not good at this type of thing. Alone, I know that I would have worked for an hour, become overwhelmed, and given up. With Ellen there, she took charge and assigned me various tasks. We worked together and made visitble progress. Rather than get overwhelmed by the project, I was able to stay focused and just keep plugging away until the job was done. Ellen also has recommendations for items that actually work to help with organization. I've tried to buy such items before but they often end up being more trouble than they are worth, or they don't actually help me. She only suggests items that meet her standards for usability.
Description of Work: Ellen worked with me to clean out my office, reorganize the furniture, clean up and reorganize my files, clear off my desk, categorize my bookshelves, set up future projects like creating memorabilia boxes for my children, and other tasks. Within four hours, I had a tidy, rearranged, usable office. My files had been cleaned out and reorganized. The floor was nearly clear of boxes. My desk now had room for my computer and necessary papers. My bookcases shelves were recategorized. My files were in order. I could see the carpet in my office! With her friendly and professional manner, Ellen was great to work with. Good personal organization has always escaped me and working with Ellen was both rewarding and a learning experience. She not only brought order to my office but she also helped me understand the basics of organization. She will also cart off items to be shredded, recycled, donated, etc., which makes it much easier to let go or get rid of the stuff you don't need or want. Ellen has since come back to lead our garage clean-up. The whole family pitched in and, under her guidance, we created a lovely, well-organized, usable garage that can we can fit our cars into! It was probably the best Mother's Day gift that I ever got!

The experience was excellent overall. I thought she was extremely personable, and she was very efficient with my time and her resources. She came prepared with a list of places that accepted donations and even offered to take the belongings I didn't want anymore to those places!

I got their name from a referral and then I found she was on Angie's List. I will probably follow up with her to implement some of the ideas and then have her come back later for more ideas. She was very professional, very kind and not hard on me saying the house was a mess. She was sweet, her name was Ellen.

Overall, it went well. She helped me get rid of a lot of trash. She helped me to decide what we should throw away, donate, and the best way to organize the garage. She then physically helped me move all of the stuff and made suggestions to where I can get rid of the stuff. It was a little bit expensive, but she did a really great job.

Ellen has been helping me organize my house for several months. She is efficient and professional and extremely well organized! She has many creative ideas. Several times I have been overwhelmed by the task at hand but Ellen has helped me accomplish the project. We have reorganized several rooms and my family loves the results. They can alsways tell when Ellen has been at the house. She also cleans up and takes all the give away items with her. She is always going the extra mile for her customers. If you need an organizer(and lets face it most of us need some help) Ellen is the organizer for you. You will be so glad you called her.

This was a major project and Ellen did a great job. Thanks to Ellen, we were basically moved-in and organized in our new home in only a couple days. Really stupendous job!
Description of Work: We recently moved to Columbus. We asked Ellen to help us prepare for the move and to help us unpack and set up the whole household. During the months between when we purchased the house and moved in, Ellen designed and arranged for installation of closet modifications, acquired and put in place storage shelves, and cleaned/lined kitchen and bathroom space. For move in day and the following days, Ellen and her helpers got us 95% unpacked and organized in two days.
