Description of Work: They moved an 18 cu ft refrigerator from my basement to my kitchen on the main floor. They had to remove the doors of the refrigerator and the door to the basement, but they replaced everything in fine shape. They also carried the food I had taken out of the refrigerator to the main floor for me. They were prompt, courteous, speedy, and highly professional. I will definitely use them again in the future.

+ 4 moreResponded promptly to our phone call. Workers (primarily Colby, but two others helped too) were courteous, efficient, careful to avoid damage and cleaned up afterward. Willing to answer all our questions, including how we might resolve a problem other than through use of their services. The only criticism we had was that the work extended over 4 days since the workers would be already scheduled for something else or get assigned to do something else the next morning etc. which we didn't think was right (especially if we had to wait for a call to see if they were coming that day). This did NOT affect the efficiency or quality of the work but was a bit inconvenient.
Description of Work: Built stair railing on open portion of basement steps, repaired two electrical sockets, installed new bathroom and new two-sided (interior/exterior) electrical sockets, repaired non-starting hot-tub, installed new faucets in kitchen and one bathroom, repaired second bathroom faucet, repaired slow draining sink, removed old living room security system controls and repaired resulting hole.

+ -1 more(CONTINUED) We examined the problem, the obvious result of some previous attempts to repair damage. I spent hours that night chipping out the old glues a molecule at a time. He knew I wanted this up in time for Christmas, so he came out on Sunday, Dec. 23rd, to finish the job. He brought a fabulous glue, and explained exactly how it was going to work and why he chose it. The carving went back in place, and the repair is invisible. Working with care--it was like a slow dance--we dodged around the Christmas decorations and got the thing in place. He suggested an adjustment or two and we made them. It looks wonderful and is a 10-year-dream-come-true for me. I can send you a picture. Not only is he an excellent craftsman, but Chuck Nutter improved my knowledge and skills, too, and trusted me to use them. It was fun and it was fabulous. Thanks, Angie's List!
Description of Work: Hanging antique Chinese screen. I haunted an antiques dealer for 10 years to get them to sell me this screen. Then I needed an expert to get it on the wall behind the sofa where I had long fantasized that it would hang. My Decorator referred me to this company, so I checked them with the List and gave them a call. Chuck Nutter suggested using hangers. "No, I said, "you can't screw anything into it." It is very heavy, so that ruled out some other simple solutions. He had to invent a process--and please me, too. Finally, he suggested standing it on a shelf painted shiny black to match the lacquer, with a wire curled around the hinges to stabilize it near the top. Once I had evaluated me as a handy-woman, he let me help, educating me as we went, and saving me the expense of a second worker. All was going well when a piece of the carving plopped onto the floor. I nearly died. (Continues below.)

On December 18, I contacted a close friend of mine and told him briefly what I needed done and who he would recommend. He mentioned and recommended Chuck Nutter and Nutter Handyman Services. I contacted Chuck upon the second ring of this phone. Chuck had been a sales a marketing professional for over 25 years in the Chemical Industry and was originally from Columbus. He voluntarily made a decision to start up this business because he saw the need and the he ability to provide a number of handyman services for the Columbus area. Chuck showed up and achieved everything promised. He and his workers were uniformed, punctual, and courteous as well as skilled. We are looking forward to having Nutter Handyman Services perform a number of greatly needed projects to improve our home.
Description of Work: Work included: cabinet repair, light fixture installation, primary and secondary door repair, faucet and shower head installation, light fixture repair, with several projects pending that include shelving, plumbing and caulking within bathrooms and kitchen, electrical outlet additions, light switch changes and canned light additions.
