The control panel was bad, so they ordered a new one, came back within a week to install it, but the new panel was no good, so they put the old one back on so I could use the spin cycle, which still worked. After Christmas two men came with another new control panel, and thoroughly checked the washer, finding another small problem which they also fixed. It's worked fine since.

They wouldn't come out. If you live close, maybe you'll have better luck.
Description of Work: I needed a washer repaired. I live 20 miles away. 2-3 months ago, they fixed my refrigerator and it was great. Today, they tell me they don't service my area.

We have to draw the line somewhere. If we are slow possible service might be obtainable.

We were amazed by how quickly they were available on the day after a holiday weekend. The repairman was very knowledgable and explained exactly what was wrong and the probable cause. A new part was not needed and after the diagnostics were run he was able to reset the circuit. We have used this company several times for various appliances and always had a good experience.
Description of Work: Our front loading washing machine stopped working suddenly and gave no "error code". We called Northwest Appliance and they were out within two hours to diagnose the cause and fix the problem.

It went really well. We had a rough estimate over the phone and the cost came in a bit over but we had the expectation over the phone that the estimate was just a ball part so that's fine. The tech Brad was what made the experience so positive. He was very professional and great to work with.

Very well. The technician certainly knew what he was doing and analyzed the need for a new baking element in short time. He was both personable and informative. He ordered the part and returned less than a week later to install it.

very worst experience, charged me with service fee and did wrong diagnosed. Northwest Appliance charged me $74.85 and have diagnosed the problem to be with "Temperature Sensor" in the rage has gone bad and need to be replaced, I has party on the same weekend and looking forward to get range fixed ASAP, but the guy told me that it would take 4 days to get the part. so I have decided to not to go ahead with the repair. So I decided to fix range on my own and decided to have second diagnosing with different company, I found the "Temperature Sensor" was working fine, but the panel circuit board was the problem. So when I replaced panel circuit board , my range started to work. I tried to call Northwest Appliance customer service, they took my number and never called me back. I am very disappointed to see such a company not responding to customer complains. I never got my money and never got a call from them.
Description of Work: I had gas range that needs to be diagnosed, I was getting error code F31 on panal, so I hiring Northwest Appliance diagnosing team to come and take a look at the problem and help me in identifying the problem..

With an error of this type (F31), per the factory, the proper procedure is to replace the sensor first since it is the cheaper part. Also, if the control board is bad, the sensor needs replaced anyway, again per the factories procedure. We stand behind our work and diagnosis. If we are wrong, the sensor would have been included at no charge in the control board estimate. That is why we would have brought both upon return. Customer decided to do repair themselves, therefore we cannot be responsible for repair.

Northwest Appliance repair came to replace the exhaust fan of our Jenn Air stove June 15, 2016 and the repair person needed to try t2 different fan parts due to both fan replacements malfunctioning. Fan would cut out after running approximately 15 minutes of running time or less. After not being able to repair the problem, the technician said he would speak to his boss... We never heard back from Northwest Appliance repair and feeling frustrated we made an arbitration request on Angies List, whom we found this appliance repair company. Shortly after making this request we heard from the owner of Northwest Appliance, Mr Short, who called to make an appointment to review our problem with the Jenn Air Stove fan. Mr Short came out to our home and said the same statement told to us by the technician, that these fans are built to shut off after a certain amount of use as a precaution. This is an unacceptable response. We have owned our home for approximately 16 years and it was built in 1990. This Jenn Air stove is the original stove of house which was built in 1990 and was on the Parade of Homes. Other than the stove fan wearing out, we have never had a problem with this stove fan cutting out and turning off after 15 minutes of cooking use. I have owned several higher end stoves over the years of being a homeowner and have never heard of an exhaust cooking fan not being able to run for 10 or 15 minutes without having to shut itself off so as not to burn itself out. Does this make sense to any other cooking consumers? The owner of Northwest Appliance left saying he would do some checking around for a better fan or perhaps a reconditioned part and to give him a week or two and he would call us. So that was August 5th and it is September 11th and we have not heard back from Northwest Appliance Repair. I am a business owner of 20 yrs and when I tell a client I will complete a task I make it my duty to fulfill the said task and communicate with my client with regards to their problem to keep them in the loop and not feel as if they were abandoned or their problem didn't matter. It would not make sense business wise...This is where we are now... We paid Northwest Appliance Repair $600 to fix our Jenn Air Stove fan and we still are unable to cook in our home without creating excessive smoke and our smoke alarms going off in our home. It has been approximately 6 weeks and we still have not heard back from Mr Short, the owner of Northwest Appliance Repair. I feel abandoned as a customer and have lost faith in their service as an appliance repair business. This is unfortunate as we have given them significant prior business in repairing our LG washing machine and Maytag drier. I would feel satisfied if we received some financial compensation so that we could hire another Appliance Repair service to fix our Jenn Air stove fan. Unfortunately we will no longer be able rely on the Northwest appliance repair company for our future needs. Byer beware... Dr Weiss

The motor has been replaced twice with Whirlpools updated motor which is the only replacement part available. It has an safety overload the old motor did not. The home is *vented incorrectly* the old motor worked but no new motor is designed that way now. Solutions were presented to the customer but they did not want to continue further because of cost concerns. The owner has been reaching out to motor rebuild shops to see if old motor can be rebuilt but no one has replied back with a solution. We are sorry but old parts get updated by the Manufacturer and we have no control over that.

Technician has over 20 years of experience on GE appliances, had to remove debris from unit then it checked ok. If it wasn't working properly after repair normally customers call back to have a recall which is free of charge for at least 30 days no service call. Customers can be very rude as well which is why we will not be returning. Northwest Appliance believes its employees deserve a non hostile work environment as should every employer.

The technician, Paul discovered the hinge was bent. He also found a dent in the door that couldn't see unless you looked at a certain angle. He gave me options of replacing the door ($400) or replacing the refrigerator. I opted to replace the refrigerator. He was very good. On time, efficient and really tried to see what he could do to fix it, but it wasn't fixable.

Northwest Appliance was the 3rd place we called to get information on a repair for our refrigerator. After doing research, reading reviews on Angie's List and checking the BBB of Ohio we choose them. We called on a Tuesday and the repair was scheduled for Thursday - of the same week :) We called the morning of our service call at 9am and we were given the time frame of 3:30-5:30 that day. At about 545pm our technician- Randy - called saying he would be later than expected. He was stuck in horrible 270 traffic. He said he was still coming and the repair would be done that day as promised. He ended up arriving to repair the ice maker at 650 or so that evening. He had a long day and was still professional, informative and responsive to our needs. He did not rush, he explained everything and took his time. He made sure that the ice maker was working and answered our questions. Randy was finished in a timely manner and cleaned up everything as well. We would recommend Northwest Appliance!

Brad removed the door, fixed latch and replaced door in minutes. Obviously a professional. It worked again smoothly. He also wrote a quote in case it happens again so we would know how much replacement latches would cost. He was very nice. When we made the appointment, they said that he would come after 1. What they should have said was between 1 and 5. The repairman came around a half hour after we called to follow up at 3:00. The phone staff needs some training. I would use again and recommend this company to others based on this experience. This was my first time using this company.

Chris showed up in just a day or two and figured out what the problem was right away. He called some warehouses as he was standing in front of my broken microwave and found the soon to be obsolete parts. Chris came back with the parts a week later and made sure that he protected my countertop with a blanket. He worked quickly and efficiently. Northwest Appliance was the best place to call.
