Description of Work: Brought computer in to office on Saturday for work. Got call later in day from Keith that computer repair was simple and completed -- at no charge. Explanation was clear. We're thrilled and will use them again at home and for business.

Description of Work: New wireless printer would not find my router. He got it to work!

Description of Work: My printer wouldn't work after my cable company replaced the modem and router. The cable company sent out someone to get my printer back in the network but couldn't get it to work. My PC Guy came to my house and got my printer to work again in just a few minutes. This company's price was better than or competitive with other similar businesses and honored the Angie's List coupon. I am very low tech and the company owner (who was the person doing the work) was friendly, professional, and could explain what was gong on in layperson's language. The company is small (4 employees) and locally owned, not a franchise, according to the owner. I would use this company again for big or small computer problems.

Description of Work: We had 3 old computers which had one by one stopped working. I called up Don of My-PC-Guy and he came to our place the next day itself. Each time I called him up to ask a question, he answered the phone himself or called me back within minutes. He came to our home within 24 hrs. The oldest of the 3 computers was beyond repair, so he offered to transfer all of my files to a refurbished and newer model. All of this was for about $175. The second was a laptop, he tuned it up and optimized it for $110.00. The third one was an old laptop, which was irreparable and Don offered me a much better and newer refurbished IBM Think pad for only $225. The turnaround time was so fast, within a day or two and he was always available to answer my questions. I was so impressed with the professionalism and quality of work that I purchased a monitor also for $100.00. I highly recommend them. I will never call anyone else for my computer needs.

Description of Work: Price was competitive and then he provided additional services without charging extra. Diagnosed problem and gave options and prices to fix or replace CPU. Very responsive to several rounds of email questions. Prompt and courteous and helpful. A rating across the board.

Description of Work: My pc crashed due to a virus and would not reload or restore. Don reloaded everything for me and my pc works better now than before the crash.

Description of Work: I have an older IBM Thinkpad which no longer would recharge the batter due to a bad connection in the recharger. Using Angie's list I found My PC Guy. I called described my problem. Don indicated that this was a common problem and would require a resodering and a new ac adaptor. This would cost approximately 130.00 due to having to disassemble the pc to get at the port. Don arrived as scheduled and completed the repair in the time indicated and for the price quoted. The pc works fine and this saved me the price of a new laptop.

Description of Work: Don Wilson set up a new laptop and wireless network for me. As part of the job, her recovered data from my very old desktop and restored programs/data to my new computer.

Description of Work: My desk top computer had stopped working and would not permit me to get to the Windows screen. I called My PC Guy after reading about him on Angie's List. He came out the next day and determined the my hard drive had frozen, probably the result of a virus. He took my CPU back to his shop. He called a day later and said that he had restored and repaired the hard drive file system, removed the virus, tuned-up and updated the system, and installed a new bios battery.

Description of Work: Removed and restored data from crashed hard drive. Upgraded to 250 HDD and 2 G RAM. Reinstalled operating system and all patches and updates.

Description of Work: My printer was reading a communication error and all attempts to fix it following online instructions and technical manuel instructions had failed as did attempts to repair it by others who are technically saavy.

Description of Work: They came in and tuned up my computer , removed spyware and viruses and explained everything that I had question about.
