Mr. Mover of Ohio Inc

I really like it when movers have a sense of design. They helped us determine how to re arrange the furniture. My idea was not quite right. We actually had fun and laughed a lot as we all worked together. This is a family business used to working well together with special care. They also found short cuts we never thought about. Work was done expeditiously and with the care I expected since some of the furniture to be moved were antiques. The work was done in half the time I expected thus costing less. This family company is not out to overprice the job. They are fair and honest. Thankgoodness for Mr. Mover!

Again, everything went very well. They took the time to carefully pack things with expert care, took all precautions not to damage anything, including the walls, steps, etc. They worked through minor drizzle on the first day, and hot, humid conditions on the second day. They were thorough, responsible, and were done in a reasonable amount of time.

Received a confirmation call the day before, they arrived on time, were polite & professional & completed the work ahead of the estimated time.

I had to do an emergency move out and the moving company I used (Jones Family Moving) recommended this family owned temperature controlled storage facility. The price was $30 a pallet box at the time - I had ended up needing 5 (they are a pretty good size. The storage fee total was $150 a month plus tax. I was able to go and get some things I needed by calling ahead. They pulled my 5 boxes and opened them and pulled some stuff out so I could get to the back of the boxes if need be. Very friendly, very professional and I feel my belongings are safe.

They were moving some of our stuff and the truck caught on fore before they finished loading it. They got another truck and the next day completed loading which was fine. Except, The stuff that was on the truck that burned was going to be salvaging some of it. This happened in March and it took them until May before they could salvage stuff. They kept putting us off and putting us off with our stuff. And we got it, it was intersting. They sent us back a popcorn popper that was brand new. They neglected to send us the top of the glass popper. The glass top would never have been burned. They sent us a lot of items like this. It took them too long, and all the promises that we were going to get stuff grew tiresome. I also had some bottles of wine and liqior that were gone. Glas or metallic should have survived. We only got part of it. I'm not sure what happened, but I wish I could have been there.

We got 3 estimates and we liked their approach to the move. They showed up on time and brought enough people to make the move quick. Nothing happened to our belongings or the houses, such as scratches or dings.

Prompt and accurate quote. Good service during the move. Reasonably priced. Great box rental/usages policy.

They were to come Tuesday at 4:00 and they called at 10:30am and said they would be at my home in 10 minutes, I really was not ready for them because I thought they were coming at 4:00pm per Judy. They came and took the refrigerator and then they were supposed to deliver it to my daughter's house Thursday by 4:00pm. Thursday, no phone call and Friday came and I called them and no answer. They finally called back and said they had a priority for Friday and they will deliver it Saturday morning. This was at their convenience and not ours, they did not ask us if that day was OK. I coordinated this with Judy at their office. No follow through on their promises for the delivery date and the time.

They worked really hard. One picture was broken, but they were very responsive and reimbursed me.

They did a tremendous job. They are good guys.

They did a great job. They were quick, they were polite, and clean. I had absolutely nothing broken or damaged. I used them a few more times to help move furniture.

Overall great service and they met my expectations.

It went fairly well. They were actually a bit early and worked quickly. They allowed us to add on a couple of items we had previously planned on moving ourselves. Nothing was broken, although we moved our own very fragile or valuable items in boxes.

They showed up on-time and were able to move the items very quickly and without damaging anything. They gave me an estimate and they actually came in under the estimate.

Not as well as I had expected from my previous experience with Mr Movers. They damaged my furniture due to the carelessness (trying to move a box spring by himself and hitting my brand new bed frame), trying to charge me for fuel charge which was not part of the original estimate (after complaining about that, the owner waived it). I also thought that they were not handling my furniture as carefully as the previous Mr Movers people I had hired 3 years ago. After they moved us, I contacted the company to have someone came out to repair the damage they had caused. They had promised to have someone call me but I had to call back 2 more times within the next 2 weeks to finally have someone come out and repair the furniture. The repair man was professional and did a great job.

Part 2: THE JOB WAS NOT DONE! Before finishing my end of the move, they complained when they saw more boxes than they wanted to carry up from downstairs. Said the company should have sent a third guy and then called them to request one. Judy evidently said there was no one, so they needed to finish the job on their own. He complained that she said there were still working hours in the work day" (this was at approx 12:30pm). So they went out to their truck and called her privately . At this point I was so frustrated with their whining and realized nothing good was going to come from unhappy workers. I walked out to the truck in the rain and offered them a compromise take a treadmill and 3-4 boxes now and I ll schedule a time for the remaining boxes. I asked for tomorrow , the office responded to the workers by phone that there wasnt an opening until Monday. So the guys left around 12:50pm. I was never told how much per hour (although I could conclude from Judy how much it might be when she stated 5 hours, 2 guys, one truck, would be around $500). I was never told payment was due that day, especially when the job was only 1/2 done. I was never given a document to sign (though they said they had it with them at the new location). He called me from there and acted like a thug, saying I had to come out there (15 miles) to pay him immediately because he did the work and wasn t leaving until he was paid. When I said the job was not complete, he said his part of the job was, and had to be paid. Judy was extremely argumentative and rude on the phone when she called me at the workers request. She interrupted me many times and made assumptions before I could finish my sentence. She reiterated that ALL MOVING BUSINESSES are paid the same day, no exceptions. When I told her the other company had invoiced me after the move, she told me I wasn t being truthful. THAT WAS EXTREMELY RUDE. She said over and over this is how the moving business works , and I would correct her each time saying YOUR BUSINESS, NOT ALL MOVING BUSINESSES . She seemed perturbed at the worker when I told her what he said about being a semi driver. She kept trying to schedule me for moving the boxes tomorrow (funny how she found the time available now when she didn t before). I said I wanted to speak to the supervisor, and she responded that she would have Scott Judd call me. When I asked if he was the boss, she rudely responded he s the owner as if I was supposed to know that. He NEVER called me after I called their office on 3 occasions to speak with him. No one ever came out and gave me an estimate in the beginning. Also, I HAVE NEVER RECEIVED A PRINTED INVOICE BY MAIL OR IN PERSON - EVER. AND NOW THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO FILE A SMALL CLAIMS COURT ACTION AGAINST ME.

The did a great job protecting both houses. I did not find a single spot on any of the walls or doorways. However, I wish they had taken the same care with my furniture. Some of the items I own are valuable and non-replaceable antiques which ended up with a couple of scratches and broken details. While the damage was not severe or anything that I could not repair myself, a little more care and packing would have eliminated it entirely. A couple of items in the basement proved to be too heavy for me to move and we did end up taking the refrigerator out of the new house and putting it in the garage. This was not on the estimate, but the guy who did the estimate was aware of them. For this I ended up paying the guys on the truck $100 extra cash, though in the end the total number of hours estimated was the number of hours they actually worked. To their credit however, they were polite, punctual and accommodated specific requests.

They gave me a very good price. They showed up about 10-15 minutes late at 9:15 but they moved my two story house with everything set up in my new house by 4:30 in the afternoon. They were extremely friendly and professional. When they moved furniture into the new house, they quickly put it where I asked.

THEY ARE VERY CAREFUL, VERY ACCOMMODATING, THEY MADE US FEEL VERY HAPPY AND SECURE WORKING WITH THEM. WE HIRED THE EXACT SAME TEAM TO MOVE US AGAIN AND EVEN THE SAME DRIVER. THEY PROVIDE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SATISFACTION AND ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL.

Wow, they were wonderful. We were pleased to discover they delivered furniture from a store to a home. They were doing some deliveries in our area the same day we called. We were delighted to have our bookcase delivered the same day we bought it. The guys were extremely polite and careful when bringing the bookcase into our home. Unfortunately, the store gave them some hassle when they tried to pick it up....even after the store manager talked to us on the phone. We appreciated Mr. Mover's patience while we ironed things out with the store.

Overall, it went well. I called the company, they were very responsive and friendly in making the arrangements. They came the next day. The two men were on time, very polite and finished the job in about 20 minutes. They had to remove the side door to get the sofa in. They moved the furniture without marking the walls, or leaving any trace. I would certainly hire this company again for similar work or for other moving jobs. The only downside was that they had a 2 hour minimum price. Since I needed their help, it was worth it.

Overall, great job packing & moving. I would use this company again.

It went great. The guys were fantastic, and worked very hard from start to finish, only taking a short lunch break. And the final total was under the original estimate. My only complaint is that most of our boxed-up stuff had to be stacked in the garage for a few months, and it could have been more carefully stacked, paying more attention to how boxes were labeled (fragile, books, etc).

The men who did the work were prompt, courteous & professional.
