First of all, if you are planning a long distance move, DO NOT think you have to call one of the big national movers. They contract with local movers, so then you are paying two companies. Start by contacting local movers directly, and you will save some money. Previously all our moves were paid for by either the Navy, or my company, so I never paid attention to price before. Going with a local mover will definitely save you money. Mr. Mover of Ohio was by far the most positive moving experience we had, and that's after 28 years in the Navy moving every 2-3 years and moving twice with my former company. The office staff were very responsive in setting up the initial walkthrough and were always polite and professional in their dealings with us. Our move got a little complicated due to the closing date on our house in Ohio shifting and the commensurate delay in getting our money from the buyer. Mr. Mover BENT OVER BACKWARDS to accommodate us, and I know that they worked with us in ways that a huge corporate moving company would not be willing to. The packing crew was fantastic. Upbeat, hardworking, and took great care of our stuff. The crew lead/driver Eric was also amazing. Good attention to detail. Great job planning and executing the load at the house and at our storage unit. Oh, and everybody was on time and ready to work every day. Our household goods were transported without incident and the delivery was made on time. The unloading crew was very hardworking, and they made short work of getting our boxes and furniture off the truck and spotted in the house. Eric did a great job reassembling everything. Great. They took and properly disposed of two tube TVs so they addressed the main task of getting them out and saved me a trip and time of taking them to the recycling center.

The entire project went great. They needed two days to pack everything and one day to move it. Each day they were right on time. The workers were friendly, polite, worked hard, and knew what they were doing. Everything was packed carefully. Everything was loaded and unloaded carefully. They brought a sufficient number of workers, trucks, and packing materials each day to do the job. On moving day, they were there promptly at 9:00, had the trucks loaded by shortly after noon, and unloaded and placed in our new home by 4:00. When Jeff came out to give us a "not-to-exceed" estimate, he sang the praises of his workers. I took it with a grain of salt. But his crew actually exceeded his description. We were very pleased with the entire project. The final bill even came in $500 lower than the estimate. We would not hesitate to use them again.

Amazing Service! Two guys showed up about an hour away from their home office on time and unloaded our truck in about an hour under what was quoted. Couldn't have been happier with the service. Would definitely recommend.

Everything about this move went smoothly. When I called for a quote, Jeff Jones came to our houses to see for himself what needed to be done. He took the time to introduce himself and describe his business and how his crews work. We toured both houses before he gave us an actual quote instead of just guesstimating like most moving companies do over the phone. On the day of the move, we had a separate crew at each house to load. The whole crew toured each room with us to determine what items were to be moved and what, if any, remained. The guys were quick and efficient. Once each house was loaded, the crews drove to the new house to unload. The teamwork was outstanding! From start to finish, they were done in less than 3 hours. I would highly recommend Mr. Mover to anyone looking for a high quality moving experience!

Mr. Mover did a fantastic job at a fantastic price. The ONLY company I got a quote from who gave me a "guaranteed not to exceed" price, which they stuck to and cost $900 less than the next lowest bid. They arrived on time, both to pack and move, and did an above average job with the care in their packing and moving. Their truck may not look the fanciest, but they've got it where it counts: price and service. Also, the guy who did our estimate was JUST the nicest guy.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Obtained an estimate for packing and moving our house. The estimate was comparable to others but the not to exceed guarantee and insurance sold us. The team for packing was prompt, considerate and just nice. They packed everything efficiently and quickly. The move, on one of the hottest days, was again efficient and quick. They placed furniture exactly as needed and remained considerate and polite throughout the day. Final Cost was even a little less than the estimate. Couldn't have asked for a better experience.

Had valuable breakable items and the packing and care were exceptional. The move went very well. Just the considerable unpacking to go but Mr. Mover did a fantastic job and made moving easier than usual. I've moved all over the world and the care of Jeff and Pamela was well beyond ordinary assistance. They are the best!

We contacted several moving companies for our move from Ohio to Florida, all suggested by Angie’s List. Mr. Mover came out on top as the most reasonable and responsive. They came out the day for the move to inventory what was to be moved. On the day of the move, they arrived on time. They started the day by protecting our floors and staircase. They were very efficient and energetic. Even though it was a very hot day, they only took a short break. They had the truck loaded with our stuff by 1:30. They met us in Florida and moved us into storage, as there were issues with our closing in Ohio so we couldn’t close quite yet on the Florida home. They used 3 movers from here in Florida to assist with unloading the truck. They were just as efficient and energetic as the gentlemen from Mr. Mover in Ohio. In fact, we used these same gentlemen to assist us with the move from storage to our new home. I highly recommend Mr Mover for any moving you need done!

Pam was extremely helpful when first contacted for a quote. Excellent customer service and received email confirmation of move details. Day of move called for verification of time frame - movers called with over an hour window of arrival time so did not have to sit and wait. Movers arrived and were professional, courteous, and worked quickly to get moved to new apartment. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to move apartments.

They did a fantastic job. I have moved at least a dozen times in my life and this is the best experience I have had. They were pleasant, quick, attentive and even brought me wardrobe boxes to use. I would highly recommend them.

I researched Angie's list for movers and came across two that I felt seemed the best. One never responded, but Mr. Mover of Ohio responded promptly. The guy (owner's husband I believe) came out to give an estimate. His hours were super flexible, which was great for us because we had already taken off a lot of work due to building a new home. He was on time, courteous and obviously very knowledgable. He was able to estimate all of the expenses just by eyeballing each room/closet. The company does a "guaranteed not to exceed" estimate and he gave us one at $1800. For us, this was a great estimate. We had 2000 sq ft house with a shed and full garage. Plus they supplied us with plenty of boxes, tape and paper stuffing, which they dropped off at our convenience closer to move day. On the day of the move, four guys showed up with two trucks right on schedule. All four were super friendly and personable, although very hard workers. They got started immediately and were able to pack those trucks so methodically. Nothing appears to have been damaged in the move, which doesn't surprise me based on the care in which they handled everything. They also do a wonderful job of preparing the job site- laying carpet and plastic down as to not ruin any flooring. Even with those things down, I noticed them often checking their shoes throughout the afternoon to make sure. Anyway, they put stuff back together for us, placed it exactly how we wanted it and were very fast in doing so. I only saw them take one well deserved 5 minute break the entire 6.5 hour day. We sent them off with pizza and I believe they were headed to another job. These guys do not mess around. The final cost came out to $1687--great that it was under estimate but so impressive that the original estimate was so spot on. I would 100% hire these guys again and will be recommending them to anyone who needs moving services.

Communication was quick and responsive. The guys were punctual and worked non stop. It was my first time hiring a mover and they did not do any packing or disassembly, so I don'y have a price comparison but I've heard the average rate is 125/hr. Overall movers did a good job and worked non stop.

Very well! Everything was done quickly, the movers were all very friendly, and the the cost was well below expectations.

From the start, great advice and great service. I also liked their "not to exceed" pricing on the long distance move. Of the 3 companies interviewed, they were the only ones with this pricing. They also did the best job of estimating truck size and needed materials. We sold our home and divided possessions into three separate moves. Pam worked closely with me on scheduling. All moves went smoothly with no damage. The first move loaded a 16ft truck and moved donated furniture to a garage for easy pick up. The crew made it look effortless. The second move was local and involved carrying furniture up 3 flights at destination. The out of state move included packing fragile items. Crew lead Mark was very accommodating of my schedule and had my home loaded in time for cleaning crews to do their work that same day. At the out of state destination, the truck stayed on the street, making a longer walk than desired for the movers. But it gave me peace of mind. Mark's experience and knowledge paid off. He was observant of furniture condition and provided felt covers for worn couch legs. He easily reassembled adjustable beds and bed frames. Definitely a "service first" attitude. I highly recommend Mr. Movers of Ohio.
