Mr. Mover of Ohio Inc

I called for an estimate to move my entire home contents from Columbus to Cincinnati about 1.5 months prior to my move date. I received 2 estimates. Mr. Mover was slightly cheaper and I felt they would do a better job. I had no trouble getting a Saturday move-date when I called one month in advance, although this was in March. We were told our crew would show at 8:30am Saturday morning and they arrived right on time. There were 3 of them, two of which were obviously very experienced and were very professional. The third guy was nice enough, but it was obvious he was a junior employee. We were a family of four with two very small children living in a 2 bedroom house. Needless to say, every nook and cranny was stuffed with furniture and toys, including the basement. The crew got right to work when they arrived and protected our wood floors with cardboard and our carpet with some sort of plastic wrap. They asked for a tour of the house to understand what was to be packed and what wasn't. The crew did a really good job of packing our belongings to maximize the space in their truck. When everything was packed, every square inch of the truck was full. Both of our cars were also full with random items as well as things they wouldn't take, like our laundry detergent, extra gas tank for our lawnmower, and the propane tank for our grill. While still packing, it was past Noon and no one had eaten lunch yet, including my husband and I, and it didn't appear we would be ready to leave anytime soon. I decided to buy lunch for all of us at a fast food restaurant, including the crew to save time and just keep working. So the crew's lunch break was only about 20 minutes. When we arrived at our new house in Cincinnati, the crew again got right to work protecting our wood floors with cardboard and carpeting with plastic wrap. It states in the contract that the movers won't remove doors to get furniture moved, however they did this at both our old house and our new house. In particular, our tall deep-freezer wouldn't fit through the door to our new basement. They readily took off the freezer door to get it in the basement and then reattached it. It's service like this along with their professional attitude that will make me use them again in a heartbeat. We did have some minor damage to a headboard and one large picture with broken glass, but I didn't expect to be moved completely unscathed. I think they did an exceptional job and would highly recommend them!

We had a great experience! They sent 4 guys and 2 trucks. All the guys were very nice, professional and worked quickly but were careful with all of our things. They laid carpet protectors at the new office being very aware this was a new build and we wanted everything to stay perfect. The guys acted more than appreciative when we gave them a tip and didn't act as if it was expected. The price was great compared to other bids, one bid was $2200, which we thought other companies increased the price because we were an office move and not residential. One quote acted as if they could not even do everything in one day, which was absurd b/c my staff and I moved all of our stuff into this space 6 months prior in one day. Mr. Movers did the move in 6 hours (moving things from a second floor slowed them down, moving things into our garage and then to our new office was extremely quick). We had one issue, which was not at all the fault of Mr. Movers, and Terry was very responsive and called us immediately. We will definitely use them for any moving needs in the future and it is great knowing Terry takes pleasing every customer seriously.

They did GREAT job of doing exactly what they said they were going to do and actually went above and beyond! Would use them again and recommend them to anyone moving!

Mr. Mover did a great job for us. The movers were professional and took great care with our possessions. This was our third move in six months, and the difference in this company from others we'd used recently was marked. They were much more careful to pad stair rails, put down mats to reduce tracked in dirt and other little touches. They offered us the service we requested at a great price. (We chose to move our small items ourselves, so they moved furniture and a some baxes that were still packed from our prior moves.) The 5 guys who moved us were all professional, personable and fun. It took a lot of the stress out of the day having people who did a good job, and who were nice to be around as well.

We selected them based on recommendations found on Angie's List. They did a great job. Unfortunately they underestimated the amount of stuff we had managed to pack into our little condo; but they did not ask for more money. They kept working from morning till evening, until the job was done and they never complained. They offer an amazing program in which they can provide boxes and then return some of the deposit once returned. Our only complaint is that we had a coupon through Angie's list that provided a discount for delivery,; but they did not include this as part of the deposit they returned. Overall wonderful service! We would use them again!

They notified us when they were departing from their head quarters and worked pretty quickly and professionally once they arrived. No furniture was damaged and they did an excellent job with unhooking then reinstalling our washer and dryer. I would definitely use them again.

Terry, the owner, met me at the house and provided an estimate that beat everyone else out. I also liked that he was very straigh forward and willing to document exceptions and additions that we had agreed to right on the contract. I worked with Judy who was great to schedule the times for the teams to show up and which items were going to different locations. They were very detailed in their inventory and very careful when loading our belongings. Because we were moving to temporary housing they had two teams each with their own truck and we just told them what to load in each as they brought it out. Overall both moves went very well. We split the move into the new house into two weekends which made it a lot easier on us. Mr. Mover was very accomdating and even scheduled time outside the move weekends to deliver and set up the kids swingset for us. On the final delivery day they delivered everything but our Lawnmower but they searched all weekend until they found it and even delivered it on a Sunday for us. Great service from a great company. I highly recommend them!

The owner of Mr. Mover, Terry, met me at my house to give me a written estimate and to explain that they have a fixed fee that they would not go over. The guys they send were great. Very careful with all of our belonging. Mr. Mover was also very helpful as we didn't know when our house would be ready to be moved into. Terry said we could keep our things on the truck for the two to three weeks of lag time in between closing on our old house and moving into our new house. This was so appreciated as it meant we only had to pay to move once. I would hire Mr. Mover again and have already recommended this company to another friend who is moving this month.

They were so much more reasonable than any of the other services I called. I'd say they were half the price of any of the other estimates we got. They were very pleasant, confirmed with me beforehand, verified that they were insured, and did the job itself quickly and efficiently. They were absolutely worth what I paid, since otherwise I would have waited weeks until my teenage sons came home.

I called and said I needed a small job done in the next week. They gave me a price, date, and time. The 2 movers were excellent and handled everything with care. No surprises. Just good work.

Excellent from start to finish. No complaints.All the workers were amazing and courteous, we were amazed with the service provided.

It went very smoothly. The guys showed up on time, worked effiently and finished in a timely manner. A little early I think.

I sold my house the beginning of August. My daughter-in-law was going to help me move, but it had to be done before my grandchildren started school. We needed movers to load the 26 ft truck we were driving to N.C. I called Mr. Mover and talked to Judy. She told me they had movers to do what we needed done. Mike and Michael showed up on time and they were GREAT. It took them 6 hours to move my stuff into the truck and that was working every minute. They really knew what they were doing and they were very professional. I would recommend them to anyone, in fact, they are going to move the rest of my belongings into another truck the end of this month! When we reached N.C., we needed more movers to move my things into a storage facility. They were very impressed by the job Mike and Michale did in packing my things! You won't be disapointed.

Mr. Mover performed the move very well. I would not use them again because after the move I discovered that a principal in the company is a member of another company. I will never intentionally use any moving company that has anyone from the other company associated with it. See my previous submission about my experience with this company a few years ago.

Because we were moving out of state, I was initially concerned that we'd have to use a big national moving company, so I was glad to find an independent Columbus-based mover that would do the job. The owner came to our house to provide a quote & explained all the ins & outs of the job. We had no problems scheduling my move a month out & got to choose the exact days (and loading/unloading times!) so it was very convenient for us. A father & son team (Greg & Zach) actually performed the move - loading in OH on a Tuesday & unloading in VA that very Thursday! - and they did a fantastic job. They worked quickly & efficiently, were very polite & careful, and left not a mark or a dent on our house or furniture. The work was competitively priced and I'm pretty sure no national carrier could've guaranteed that our belongings would be unloaded 2 days after they got on the truck. My husband & I recommend Mr. Mover highly & without reservation!

We had a great experience and even though it was pouring down rain all day the movers never complained or seem phased by it. The office staff is wonderful and responsive. We changed our move date 2 times and they were always able to make it work. I believe Mr. Mover delivers on its promise and is a good deal for the service they provide.

They arrived early & finished early. They gave us an estimate for the maximum charge and came in about $300 less than estimated. The three movers were clean, courteous, and efficient. They put the items in the rooms we asked them to and did not damage any of our things.

I was planning a local move from a 2200 sq. ft. house to a 1200 sq. ft. apartment. I contacted a number of movers, and Mr. Mover offered me the best price, particularly when you considered their policy regarding insurance and replacement of damaged items. I hired them to pack up a large number of items in the house, including dishes, books, CDs, and DVDs, office equipment/computers, clothing, bathrooms, etc. The house was a mess when they arrived, but they managed to pack 95% of what I asked them to pack within 4 hours. All fragile items were packed well in paper, and the boxes were marked fairly clearly indicating what they contained. The movers arrived the next morning at 8:30am, and they were polite and careful. They loaded my items onto the truck with the items going to storage near the back of the track, and they accommodated the changes and additions I made during the day. When they unloaded the truck, they placed each item in the room I specified, and only one minor item was damaged in the move. They came to me and informed me of the damaged item immediately as soon as they discovered it, and were very up-front and honest about the damage. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Mr. Mover, and I would recommend them to anyone planning a move. My only negative comments are: 1) the packers and the movers didn't seem to communicate much with the estimator who I spoke with to set up the job. Similarly, I had a "will not cost more than" estimate, but that total was never communicated to the movers who actually gave me the bill. However, the company was polite, apologized, and was quick to refund the difference between my estimate and the total on the invoice as soon as I pointed out the error to the office staff. 2) due to some technical difficulties, the movers were gone quite a while in the middle of the day on their lunch break. However, they were apologetic about the delay and explained the situation to me. Overall, a very positive experience, and I highly recommend them. I am currently storing some of my furniture with them, as well. Their rates are extremely competitive.

I found this company on Angie's list. The move had to be postponed once because of a snowstorm, but the company was VERY understanding, and in fact, they said they could move the things even in the snow, but I was concerned about the movers slipping on my steep driveway. I rescheduled the move and Thomas and Patrick did a FABULOUS job! They moved a terribly heavy sleep sofa as if it was a feather! They were very nice and were efficient, wonderful workers. My son reports that the move at his end also went very well. Thomas and Patrick had to remove a door to get the furniture where my son wanted it, and they then put the door back when they were done. We are very happy with this company- from start to finish- and we will use them again!

Excellent from beginning to end. Furniture was moved between floors twice - without a scratch on anything!

They were very careful with breakable items and nothing was damaged. They worked very hard and made sure I was happy with where everything was placed in the correct spot. I received 3 other quotes and they were the lowest and I felt most comfortable with their presentation and how they would work the job the day of arrival.

We fired our original moving company for not showing up and were lucky that Mr. Mover was able to fill in on short notice. They were punctual, polite and professional. The called to let us know when they were on there way and arrived on time. They placed our washer and dryer in a hard to get spot without a problem. I felt they could have been a little more careful but overall I was very happy with the crew they sent out. My only real complaint is that they charge a truck/travel fee twice, once for driving to the job and again for driving away. I wasn't aware of this when we hired them, however, my wife told me that they did inform her of it on the phone. If they are charging the next/previous customer the same charges they are double dipping and I'm not sure where the logic is in me being charged for them to leave my job and get to the next one, especially when they are in the same city.

The 4 men went to work immediately wrapping and packing the armoire in order to protect it. They then proceeded to move the armoir until it was successfully relocated. They were friendly, professional, and great problem solvers. I would definitely recommend them to anyone.

Justin and Mark were great. Very friendly and took pride in their work. They were going to be 2 hours late due to another job and let me know that morning. Showed up moved my possessions to another place in a very timely matter. Great job guys!
