I can always depend on Dave and Jason to do a first class job. Will always use them for my irrigation needs.

It has always gone well. We had have heads break and need replacing, we have had a crane break a line and need repair, we also had a line that had a leak that needed repair. Each time, Matthews has been great on the phone with customer information and service, and they have promptly come out and fixed whatever needs doing. One thing I like about them in particular is when you use them for spring turn on, fall line blow out, and your maintenance, they get familiar with your system and how it works. They then seem to take some personal pride in keeping the system working. Our irrigation system is almost 20 years old. It works great. I don't expect it to work forever, but I feel that Matthews Irrigation has helped us get the most out of what we have. Aaaand my yard is like a green carpet in the summer. So thanks for that!

They did a superb job in estimating the size and scope of the project and were neat and tidy in the clean up and completion of the job. Both the owner and the installation staff were professional as well as friendly. We would definitely recommend using Matthew's Irrigation to other homeowners considering the installation of a residential irrigation system.

Everything from the first contact to training us to use our system was wonderful. I first contacted Matthews irrigation for an estimate and the estimate was left for me in less than one week. I already was familiar with the needs of our lawn from meeting with other super service award winners. We chose this company based upon their reputation, price, availability, and professionalism. We wanted the irrigation system installed after the concrete driveway because we were having conduit installed to make the intallation of the irrigation system easier and because we obviously didn't want to have to redo any aspects of the irrigation system when tearing up the driveway. Dave was able to get us on the schedule about 1-2 weeks after our estimated pour date for the driveway. He ended up installing it only 3-4 days after we could actually drive on in which worked out almost perfectly. Each day they were on time (8 a.m. approx) and they worked hard throughout the day. Every member of his team was professional. One thing that I really appreciated is that I didn't see anyone smoking. This is one thing I forget to ask outdoor contractors but I didn't notice or smell anything and that was really appreciated! At the end of the first day they did an excellent job cleaning up and gave us a status update - also really appreciated. By the end of the second day everything was installed. Dave walked us through all of the through the plumbing in the basement, the backflow preventer, the zones, and showed us how to use the system. Dave installed a system with a solar sensor that does not water the yard when it has rained and adjusts watering based upon outdoor temperature and amount of sunlight - it's called solar sync. The water efficiency is wonderful. We really like how aware he is about conservation. I believe there are many people that could install an irrigation system but to install one that uses the least amount of water possible while still keeping your lawn green is really important. The last thing we want to do is over-water or use too many natural resources. Dave was very knowledgeable, friendly, hardworking and professional. His team was too. I'd highly recommend him for your irrigation needs.

Reviewed businesses on Angie's List. One I had contacted in the past. After review of all the comments, etc., I called Dave Matthews for an appointment. He was prompt for the appointment and it only took a few days for him to see me. He reviewed my needs and wants and we walked the property. He gave me a quote and I took it on the spot. About 2 weeks later he arrived at the house on the date and time agreed upon. There were 5 people on his team (6 the second day) and they started right to work. Dave told me the plan and that it would take about 2 days. His workers were very courteous and friendly. Dave had to do some of the work in our basement for the water hook ups and deduct meter installation along with some wiring for the controller. He insisted on taking his shoes off before entering. All work done within the house was neat, professional and he cleaned up after himself. Two days later, the system was in. He even fertalized and seeded where the pipes went in. Work also included a water / temperature / humidity sensor which regulates the need for water so you don't overwater. This was extra from others in some cases. Included in the price is a no charge blow out at the end of the season for the first year. I also got a discount for finding him through Angie's List. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing their service. Their goal is to give more than expected and I absolutely got more than I expected. Great job, Dave.

My experience was very good. Everything was very professional and was done on time and done when he said he was going to do. He has been very responsive to questions and concerns that we have had. We would use him again in the future if necessary.

Team of 5 showed up on time and went right to work. They had a machine that sliced back the sod so that the plastic water line could be installed with no damage to the lawn. They added a couple of additional sprinkler heads to flower beds. Again, no hint of the digging that was necessary.

Continuously pleased with their service and attention to issues that we ask about throughout the watering season.

Matthews Irrigation was recommended to us by the previous owners of our home. We have done business with them for 6 years under this business name and the previous name, Nationwide Irrigation. They are always prompt and professional. In addition to evacuating water from the system to prepare it for winter, we have had them adjust individual sprinkler heads and relocate a line of sprinkler heads that were installed too far from the property line. The $60 fee for winterization seems to be in line with other companies' fees.

I called to set up an estimate and was immediately put on their schedule. Dave and Jason showed up when they said they would and spent over an hour measuring and explaining the process. I will definitely use them to install my landscape lighting, as that is what we really need. Next spring, if we decide on the irrigation system, I wouldn't hesitate to hire them for that as well. I was impressed with their professionalism and up front honesty. It is refreshing to find locally owned companies that really try to do right by you.

CAME OUT THE SAME DAY I CALLED AS IT WAS THE END OF THE SEASON AND HE WANTED TO MAKE SURE HE GOT TO US BEFORE THE FREEZE. HE WAS EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL AND THOROUGH.

You have to shut off the valve inside your house to the system. Then, they come and blow out any water remaining in the pipes so the system doesn't freeze and crack over the winter. You don't have to be there, they will just leave an invoice on your door. They will mark the heads if you like. The company is small, they know what they're doing. They are responsive and responsible. They will get to know you and your system. Our irrigation system is about 14 years old, it works great, and they are the reason why. We have had the few problems here and there with heads that go bad, this is just a use, age, and wear and tear issue, and they come and fix them right up. This is a trouble-free transaction time after time, and that's what I'm looking for. I like the customer service and technical expertise offered.

I have not seen a company do such a great job from start to finish in quite a long time. First of all they came out to give me an estimate the same day I called! Their quote was significantly less than two other companies I priced. They got to work when they said they would. They communicated well with other service providers working on a project in our back yard and were patient and helpful when those other providers didn't always do what they said they were going to do. I was shocked when they came on a Sunday to finish the project to get it finished as soon as possible. I can't recommend them strongly enough.

Dave has been servicing my irrigation system for several years. He is always on time. He is very pleasant to work with. He is a person of high moral character. I would recommend him to anyone and have many times. He will install and maintain a quality system.
