Lawn Doctor of Columbus and Central Ohio

By the end of the first year of lawn treatment by Lawn Doctor our yard started changing for the worse. Lawn Doctor blamed the weeds on the type of weather that we had that year. Unfortunately I continued service. This year Lawn Doctor applied both our summer fertilization and early fall application to my neighbors yard instead of mine. When contacted, Lawn Doctor reported they would come out and apply the treatment to the correct yard - that has not happened. I am currently looking for a replacement service who can not only treat my lawn but can also read an address.

Called on 4/5/12 to request an estimate for lawn service. The next day when I got home from work I had a detailed estimate waiting on me.I called back on the 13th and requested an estimate to have an area seeded where I had a tree removed and set up and paid for my lawn service. On the 16th I received my first treatment. Out of four companies I contacted Lawn Doctors was the only one to repond promptly and with an estimate.

I've been using them for about two years and they have taken great care of me. They are very professional and do a great job. They show up on time.

He does a good job and I've used him for four years. I really like them. I can call when there is a drought and they don't come out; they don't have an attitude and there is not a problem. Last year I skipped two treatments. The people that do the treatments are professional. They will come out in March for the crab grass and fertilization. They will come out unless I tell them not to. I will definitely continue to use them.

I had a good overall experience with them, no complaints. They did a fine job.

They are fine. I am satisfied with them. I have a contract with them. They've been very prompt and they've been good about cleaning up. I would recommend them to other people. They are here when they say they will be here. Once they left the fertilizer on my driveway and my neighbor's driveway and I called them, they were out within about an hour and cleaned it out. I've signed up for next year and I would continue to use them in the future.

At my request they always call before they come out because we want to keep the dogs off the yard. In three years they have always called me every single time. The price varies by the season and what they have to do. It is not cheap. Sometimes they do the lawn and sometimes they spray the bushes. We could probably do it ourselves but we just rely on them. They are always here when they say they will be here. They are wonderful on the phone and very courteous.

I like that they use a dry pellet instead of a spray. They are very, very polite.

This year the lawn looks wonderful. It has filled in / very green / no weeds. The best looking one the neighborhood. I have had to replace a lawn before and know what that can cost in time and money. This service is a small cost on the front end that saves a great deal on the back end.

We are fairly happy with them. I had to call them back about weed control about not being effective and they came back out. We have a yearly contract with them. They are reasonable compared to other companies. They do different treatments for us. They have been good. I usually get someone to talk to. I have been fairly pleased. Not 100% just because it has been a difficult year not knowing how much is them or lack of rainfall. They have a fairly accurate estimate that they stick to. They are prompt and responsive. They have a dog and they always call before so I ca bring the dog in. I would recommend them.

They're competent and do the appropriate things. They're gone within 15 minutes.

They have been very thoughtful. We have a neighbor with two cats, and so they call one day before they put down treatment so we can let our neighbor know.

They offered a free estimate on their website and I signed up for one. They were very prompt in coming out and left a written estimate (I would have preferred being able to be there and ask questions, have things explained to me, etc.). After "shopping around", I decided to go with them. In the meantime, another company finally responded to my request for an estimate and left me a written estimate, saying that the lawn was infested with an insect that John did not include in his report. I called to ask about that and he said that it did sound like that was true and he'd have someone come out and apply that treatment. When the tech came out, he left a bill. I called John back to say that the literature he left me said that insect treatment was part of the "package" that I signed up for. After some back and forth, he finally agreed to waive the fee and actually thanked me for pointing out the discrepancy in their flyer and he would look into it. I didn't like the information left for me was misleading, but appreciate that he "made it right". I will continue lawn services with them.

They provide an excellent service. They run everything like clock work. They come out when they are supposed to and we don't have to worry about it; they just leave us a notice when it has been done and tell us if we should keep our cat in. Our lawn looks good and we have been happy with the service.

They are very responsive and honest. They had put the wrong spray on the trees and shrubs and as soon as they realized it, they let us know. They were quick in correcting their mistake. They are also willing to replace any of the trees and shrubs if needed. I think they were very professional and courteous. They did high quality work.

My yard had started to deteriorate under the care of another company. The first year with the Lawn Doctor I noticed a slight improvement, then the second year there was a drastic improvement in the quality of my lawn. They do a great job and I will continue to use them.

They do a great job. Everyone that sees my yard says they want a yard like mine. They are reliable and charge a great price. I will continue to use the Lawn Doctor.

They scheduled and came out right away. For a years worth of services when you include aeration, etc. They are cheaper than any other place. I see a slight improvement after 2 weeks. But my lawn couldn't have looked worse to begin with. I almost went with another company that had better reviews, but they didn't call when they said they would (within 20min = next business day).

The phone service provided when I called initially was superb. Dennis then visited and was very helpful and easy to talk to. He explained my lawn's condition in detail, why it looked as it did, and what a reasonable plan would be. I liked his combination of customer education and expertise, as well as respect for me as someone who wanted to understand what was going on.

Company was quick to provide assessment and estimate. Cost was much less than Scotts or ChemLawn. However after several months my lawn did not look much better. They responded to my concern by giving me 2 free treatments. If your lawn is in good shape to begin with and you want to save money, I would recommend this company. But if you need serious help like mine, you may need someone with stronger chemicals!

Price listed was for the year. I never saw any positive change in my lawn. The owner was defensive when I called about it. He said he would follow up on some things, but never did, and when I called to cancel I left a message, and again received no follow-up call with any effort to try and retain my business.

We had used them for over fifteen years. The last couple years our lawn is looking worse than ever.

VERY PROFESSIONAL. HAVE NEVER BEEN CONCERNED WITH THEM FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH ALL OF THE PROMISED VISITS EACH SEASON. WE WERE VERY PLEASED THAT THEIR ATTENTIVENESS RESULTED IN THEIR DISCOVERING AND TREATING GRUBS WHICH WE WOULD HAVE NEVER NOTICED.

THEY WERE PUNCTUAL AND PROFESSIONAL.

LAWN DOCTOR GAVE ME AN ESTIMATE THE DAY AFTER I CALLED. THEY SUGGESTED I WAIT 10 DAYS AFTER THE ROUNDUP APPLICATION TO ENSURE PROPER SEEDING. THEY CAME OUT WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD. ALL IN ALL I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEIR SERVICES.
