Lance's Hidden Fencing

Lance was great to work with, his price was very reasonable after checking with many others. Would not hesitate to use him again or refer him.

They were very professional and had a great demeanor. He was willing to help and answer my questions. Lance helped to train my dogs with the fence. He just provided excellent customer service.

I would recommend Lance's Hidden Fencing to everyone. Lance, the owner, answered all of my questions about hidden electronic fences. He walked the property with me and made suggestions as well as listened to my needs for Jack, our Black Lab. The fencing was installed that same day. It was a very cold day but his equipment buried the line around the lawn area and he and his worker buried line in the woods by hand. Line was also run in our pond to keep Jack out (until we allow him to enter the pond). In total, we had 2 acres covered by the hidden fencing. Lance trained Jack that day. Lance loves dogs and was very good with Jack.

Lance is wonderful! He installed our fencing and then trained our two dogs. He is very patient and loving with them. He also taught us how to continue the training and it has gone very well.

He is very prompt, friendly, and seems to have a way with the dogs.

Lance is extremely professional and very patient with his clients. He came out to the house within two hours of contacting him via email. You truly do not see service like he provides from many companies these days. Customer satisfaction is definitely his number one priority.

Lance responded to my first phone call very quickly and within 3 days he had been to my home and given me an estimate for the fence. One week later the fence was perfectly installed and he came back to give my dogs (and me) a training session on the collars and the fence. He brought his very well-behaved dog Sue as an out-of-the-fence- temptation. Lance is very kind to the dogs and doesn't turn on the "shock" portion of the collar until the second training session. When Lance cleaned up the garage after the installation it looked better than before he started!

He is a personable man. He was not the person who installed the fence. I explained what we were trying to do he was to able to make time that day to come to the house to locate the wire for me. The company who originally installed the wire is not in business anymore, so after this positive experience, we will use this company for the service.

We called Lance in early October expressing our interest in an invisible fence, but also voicing our concerns on whether this "type" of fence would work for one of our dogs (she is a wanderer). Lance came out, met us, met the girls, and spent time walking us through all the components of the product. He also worked enough with the girls to understand their personalities and assess whether this type of fence would work for both of them. He assured us they were both good candidates, so once our yard was done (we had a new built), we called Lance and scheduled an install. I can only say he is "Awesome" to work with; he installed the fence, and that same day began working with us on training our girls. It was amazing how quickly our dogs "picked it up." And, even better was that he had his dog Sue there to tempt them on crossing the line. After this first session, we took "homework" for our girls, and then had another training session a week later. I have to say it's been great. Jasmine and Josie both respect the fence, and I'm now comfortable letting them out run, and not having to watch our wanderer. I would recommend Lance to anyone looking to install an invisible fence for their dogs.

Lance did a great job. We had used him before to install our fence and train our first dog. He spends as much time as is needed for the individual dog. He also makes sure you understand how to continue the training. He even brings his own dog to assist in the training!

Lance came out to talk about his product and training. It was an opportunity to point out areas of concern and to get his advise. He was very positive with our dog and gave her many opportunities to learn the system. He told me I may call if we have any concerns as we continue the training. The A's say it all. If I could give an A+, I would.

It went great. I was prepared to replace the line due to the breaks made when having landscaping installed. Lance advised me that there was no need to spend extra money to replace the entire line. Lance used to work with Invisible Fence of Columbus West. He was terrific when he worked with us and I was excited to learn he had started his own business. He came out right away when I called. I also purchase replacement collars and batteries from him.

He is excellent in what he does and if you call him with a problem he is there that same day because he wants to make sure your dog does not get out and get hurt. He is a wonderful person and your dog will love him. You can tell he is a dog lover.

Lance was a pleasure to work with. He came out a few weeks before the install and gave a very through description of the entire process (install, training, etc.). Despite us having to reschedule numerous times Lance was always accommodating and on the day of install was very cooperative (worked around our work schedules) and worked with us to decide how and where everything would be installed. All of that proved to be secondary as his skill with the dogs was amazing. Our youngest dog is very shy and suspicious of strangers and it took her about 30 seconds to trust Lance. We could not be happier with the job Lance did and our dogs are in heaven finally being able to run free outside!

I read about several invisible fence companies on Angie's List. I chose two with excellent report histories to come out and provide estimates. Lance's estimate was lower than the other company, and I was also impressed by his professionalism and personal attention to our situation. He had not installed many fences specifically for cats, and he gave us a very realistic assessment of what might or might not work well with a cat. When he came to install the fence, he listened carefully to where and how to best run the wire around our yard. He did a great job with the install, cleaned up everything after, and spent time explaining how the collar and batteries worked. Because cats can't be trained in the same way as dogs, he offered a discount to compensate for the training sessions typically needed for a dog. The fence has worked incredibly well for our cat, and he has quickly learned to stay in our yard away from the street. It is really nice not to have to worry about him getting hit (again). All in all I was really impressed by Lance's professionalism. He is a nice, honest, trustworthy guy.

Excellent, because he gives good tips and he explains everything to you to make is easy. He told me I could email him or call him if I have any problems day or night. He said he would come back if the system did not seem to work. He checked everything to make sure that it was working properly.

Great job. Lance is excellent. He went above and beyond when burying the wire for the fence. He provided great training for my dog.

He was prompt, courteous, and on time. He did a great job with our dog. He was professional without a doubt. He cleaned up and was very thorough. I would highly recommend him.

Lance is the best! He came out the afternoon of the day I called about having a 'fence' installed [my older daughter recommended him highly]. He explained everything thoroughly and we set a time for him to come out and install the fence. A couple of days before installing the fence, Lance called OUPS to have our utility lines marked to avoid them when he put in the fence. He arrived on time and had the fence installed during the morning [we have a double lot]. He installed the transformer in our attached garage and drilled a small hole in the concrete block foundation for the wire. The wire had to cross a double width driveway, but when he was finished, it was difficult to tell that he had placed it in the seam between concrete sections. Everything was spotless when he finished, even picked up the small rocks and stones unearthed by his cable machine. Lance was happy to give a $50 discount for mentioning Angie's List. He then gave our pup, Tressel, an Australian cattle dog, his first lesson about the fence. For the first couple of days, he had the probes on the collar receiver covered so our pup would not receive any static shock if he got too close to the fence. Even with the probes covered, Lance had him trained to avoid the flags within 30 minutes. While we still used his leash outside, he was careful to not get too close to the fence. A few days later, Lance returned for Tressel's second lesson. He brought his own dog along to act as a 'lure' to get Tressel to cross the fence. With the probes now uncovered, Tressel wouldn't come closer than 4 feet from the fence. Lance let us feel the shock the collar delivers, it wasn't all that painful, just enough to get one's attention. Lance had his own dog trained so well to hand signals that I'm sure he doesn't need one of his own fences at home. Since training our pup two weeks ago, Tressel's only crossed the fence once, running after a squirrel. But the rest: kids, people walking by, other dogs, cars, and bikes, he'll go out to the fence and stop short every time. He's now off the leash, but we still keep an eye on him. An errant frisbee or ball toss can't get him to cross the fence. Throughout the entire process, one thing that really comes across is Lance's love of dogs and how he works with your pet. Tressel was pretty excited to see him come for the second lesson. I'm sure that if Lance ever needs to come back out, that Tressel would be happy to see him. He did such a great job that I don't think we'll need for him to return, but we'd be happy to see him as well! I can see why he gets such great reviews, you just can't do any better than Lance.

The project could not have been planned and implemented in any better fashion. Lance was very attentive to both human and canine needs. He took the extra time to educate us in matters pertaining to electronic pet containment systems. Most importantly, he has a natural ability to relate to animals. It took him no time to generate a surprising rapport and trust level with our dogs.

The overall experience was great! Lance installed an invisible fence for me last year. He was very nice and knowledgeable, and he was wonderful with my dog. She s a rescue dog and a little shy, and he took the time to work with her and help her adjust to the fence. In the training sessions he worked with my dog and also told me what I needed to do to help her to be more comfortable with the fence. He arrived on time to all his appointments and did a great job installing the fence. My dog has a lot of energy, and the fence allows her the opportunity to run and change directions as she wants. The fence has been the best thing for her. Earlier this summer, my fence line was cut by a contractor, and Lance came out within a couple of days to do the repair. He is wonderful to work with and I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in an invisible fence.

Compared with 3 other fencing companies they came in with the lower rate. The trainer was excellent. He gave great personal service. He was fantastic with my dog. He is willing to change the position of the fencing at any time if it doesn't work out. He gave 3 free sessions for dog training and is willing to come back for an additional fee. He followed up with us afterwards to see if everything was working well. He was pleasant and professional at all times.

The overall experience was outstanding! Lance was extremely careful with our newly laid sod and provided an outstanding professional installation. The training was awesome. Lance loves dogs! He trained our dog on four separate occasions for an hour each time. We did the normal two sessions which really seemed to do the trick, but somehow we lost one of the lugs from the transmitter. Lance made a special trip to our home and spent another hour training our dog. We decided to add an indoor unit to keep our dog from going upstairs and when Lance came over to set it up he again spent time training our dog outside in addition to the training inside. I just can't seem to say enough about the overall experience.

We have two very happy and rambunctious golden retrievers who were enjoying our landscaped beds in the back yard just a little too much. Lance returned my call immediately and we set up a time for an estimate. I did not even call anyone else. He is so knowledgeable and is a "dog" person. You dog people know what I mean. We had our beds wired and Lance had my girls trained in one session. I know they must miss all that digging and yummy mulch, but it was in the best interest of us all to keep them out of those beds. I would recommend Lance for any type of fencing need, he is great at what he does!!

We were having some trouble with our PetSafe electronic fence. Our energetic beagle repeatedly escaped through the boundary despite the fact that we have a regular fence also and I had checked the PetSafe fence multiple times and replaced many components. I finally decided to consult a professional, so I gave Lance a call after reading some positive reviews on Angie's List. I explained the situation and asked that he take a look at it to see if he could figure out what the problem was. We were able to schedule an appointment right away. Once he arrived I explained again that the fence simply didn't work in some places or would work sometimes but not others. We discussed the possibilities and he was very thorough in explaining things that could be going wrong. He agreed to check everything out and went around the perimeter of the yard checking for inconsistencies. He brought another collar (receiver) to test it out and rule that out as a possible cause. Since the fence was mostly working I thought perhaps he would not be able to find the problem on that day, but he was persistent and eventually found some spots in which the receiver simply didn't work. He performed multiple tests to determine why it wasn't working properly, but there was no obvious cause. After about an hour of checking things out he said he was not sure why it wasn't working. He offered some options to remedy the problem and reassured us that he would follow up on anything we decided. Additionally, since he could not identify the problem, then he would not charge us for his time. The option we took was to try another brand. Lance suggested that the Invisible Fence brand was less susceptible to interference and we could try a system out to see if it would work. He dropped a system off the next day and we tried it out for an entire week. It seemed to work properly so we decided to purchase that system from Lance. This was a huge relief to get this problem solved and not have to worry about our beagle getting out any more. Lance deserves all the thanks we can give for being persistent in searching for the problem and giving us plenty of options to solve it. He seemed genuinely concerned with helping us and provided excellent service and refreshing honesty. I would highly recommend him to anyone.
