Lance's Hidden Fencing

I am extremely satisfied with the job Lance did installing the hidden fence and training my two Westies. I was very anxious about how my dogs would react to an electric fence. Lance came for multiple visits to provide the training support needed. His goal is that the dogs remain comfortable and happy and able to enjoy their being outside in their yard. He provided the training treats and leashes. As stated previously, the dogs comfort level, as well as the dogs' safety, are emphasized during the training. The process focused on helping the dogs become aware of the changes to the yard while maintaining a positive experience. Throughout the training, Lance modeled for me what I needed to do to make the dogs more comfortable. It is obvious that he truly enjoys the animals too. Lance is patient, knowledgeable and customer and dog friendly. He made every effort to make the process positive for both me and my dogs. I would highly recommended Lance's Hidden Fencing.

It couldn't have gone any better. I knew after reading all of the AL responses that I didn't have to look any further, and I'm glad I didn't. Lance was very thorough during our initial phone conversations, and was just fantastic with our dog during the training. He stayed for 2-1/2 hrs. the first night (in the rain, no less!), and over an hour and a half the second day. His price is 1/3 the cost of the "name brand", and I'm positive the customer service is at least 3x better! Our dog has not roamed once (knock on wood), it has been SO worth the investment! Thank you, Lance, I will definitely send anyone interested your way!!!

Lance is a true dog whispererer. He is amazing with dogs and his hidden fence works like a charm. Great service, great price, highly recommend him. I don't think I've ever met a guy who loved dogs as much as him! Only took 2 training sessions and our dog now stays in yard very peacefully. A+ rating for him.

Lance is an A+ dog person and dog lover. His passion for dogs and understanding how they think makes this electric fence installation an A + experience. He trained me to think about how to reinforce the dog's positive experience with electric fences and help my rescue Beagles overcome their shyness and fear of being rejected. I truly enjoyed the experience and learned so much from him. He's a terrific listener too - a skill that has been lost over the years. He hears everything and remembers what I say and what my dogs do. I can't say enough about Lance's commitment for the well being of my beloved Beagles. If you're considering other electric fence companies, go with Lance's organization. He's genuine and very concerned with customer and dog satisfaction.

Lance is on time! He is easy to communicate with..by phone or by email. Fence worked perfectly from day one. When landscapers cut fence, he came back out asap to fix wire.. (better than landscapers) This is a personal service.. not a franchise like Dog Watch or Invisible Fencing. Lance is passionate about dog training and will come out to your home repeatedly to make sure dogs and owners are happy with system. He and I walked far out on golf course adjacent to our home to "check" that dogs were respecting fence after training that he gave them. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY!!

Due to a malfunction in the equipment from Invisible Fence, one of the dog's receivers was not responding well to the fence. I contacted Lance and he immediately came out at my convenience and replaced the equipment. Not only did he replace the receiver, but "upgraded us" to new collars with metal clasps. Our dogs tend to chew and crack the plastic clasps on most collars. We have continued our subscription Angie's List due to our experiences with Lance. Being able to see the good things that other members said about him was a major reason that we contacted him in the first place. He is extremely professional and responds to all of your questions and concerns until the customer is satisfied. We cannot say enough good about him and his company. We have recommended him to anyone we know that lives with dogs.

I had rec'd an estimate from another company and was putting off the install as it was pricey. My brother had Lance repair his existing fence and after hearing my quote, he said "try the company I just used". I visited Lance's website, and after reviewing the information I called and scheduled an appt. The installer was friendly and professional, and Lance was very friendly and professional. Lance is great with dogs! We've had 2 training sessions, and things have worked out just as I hoped. We're still in the training stage but its great. I felt confident that if I had any problems, Lance would work to resolve them. Great company!

Lance is the consummate professional--very sensitive to the dog's reactions in training and thorough in his explanations and coaching for the owner.

I found Lance on the list and couldn't believe everyone could agree how great he is. Everyone was right. This was a fabulous experience from start to finish. Lance is so flexible - he worked with the wiring already at the house, and fixed all the problems with the wiring. He traded our old unit for a new one. He explained everything to us, and did an amazing job training our 5 month-old puppies to use the invisible fence. He will work with you however possible, and he was professional, wonderful with the puppies and family members alike, and we would recommend him to family and friends.

I had the same experience as nearly all of the other reports that Lance has on AL. He was able to schedule us very quickly (within days) and he was very knowledgeable. He came back twice for training and offered to come back more if we needed it (we didn't though). Would recommend him to anyone.

Lance was responsive and easy to reach by phone. His price was well below other bids I received. He was always prompt, professional and listened carefully to my concerns. He explained how the system works, how to best teach Zoe and Gertie where their boundaries are, and will continue to be available to us if we need him. Lance is very kind and my dogs love him. Lance is great. I have used his services a number of times to repair my electric fence when it was damaged by an animal or some other problem. Each time he called me back right away, and came over the same day or next day. He is one of the most pleasant people I've ever come into contact with. He also trained my dog after I installed my own fence. The dog loved him! Lance's prices are very reasonable and he is always looking for the lowest-cost solution for the customer. I recommend him very highly.

I placed a call to this company to request an estimate to secretly install an invisible fence around my parent's 21 acre farm (as a surprise gift) so that they could safely have a dog again in their increasingly less rural neighborhood. Lance promptly called me back and we decided on a date to meet on site to discuss the project. I was immediately impressed with Lance's warm, easy-going nature, and his obvious love of animals. We went over the details and were presented with a very competitive price that included more value than the bids I had received from other contractors. After discussing his bid with my wife, my sister and her husband who were sharing in this gift, we decided to hire Lance and set an installation date. Lance and his employee, Bob, showed up early on our agreed date and began working. Lance had figured it would take only one day to perform this extensive installation and I had my doubts considering his busy schedule if only one day were blocked for this work. However- even upon having initial difficulty locating the buried conduit for which we had no plans or reference point, Lance maintained a positive attitude occasionally even making jokes. They worked very efficiently and did finish in one day- a long, hard literally bloody (for both Bob and Lance) day- but nevertheless perfectly as bid. Upon testing the fence, Lance decided that even though a protective barrier was present he was not happy with the field width and upgraded our transmitter for free to a more powerful unit made for 50 acres. My parents came back in town shortly thereafter and were very impressed with the fact that it was done so professionally that had we not told them it was installed they never would have known. They took their time to locate the right puppy and Lance patiently waited until it was of the appropriate age (3-4 months), and then promptly came back on site and began his training routine. Gigi, a german shepherd puppy, had her reservations initially, but after a few moments took to him well and they did very well in their first day of training. She was able to understand the flags shortly into their routine and this was without any shock correction. On future training visits, Gigi remembered Lance and was very excited to see him and she began to really learn what was expected of her. My parents have very high standards for work performed and Lance took their questions and suggestions in stride and everyone ended up satisfied. We feel that Gigi understands her boundaries already 80-90% of the time and with more practice will not even need to feel any correction at all. We are VERY satisfied with Lance himself and the work he has performed and would definitely hire him again. We wish him the best of luck in future work and look forward to seeing him in the not too distant future as we have no doubts about his containment guarantee and service promises even if they are not needed.

Our dogs are shy around strangers but they took immediately to Lance. They were calm and responsive with him. You can tell Lance loves what he does, that he knows what he is doing related to training the dogs, and also builds confidence in the owners! His diligence helped us train two dogs that were insistent on running out of the yard. After the first night of training, we only had one break out with each dog the next day and we haven't had one "mistake" since! I never thought it would be possible to be successful with Labs and a hidden fence, but Lance's outstanding service and training made it possible for our "girls" to enjoy the freedom of a one acre playground! I couldn't be more thrilled and have already referred three friends to Lance. He is THE BEST!

My overall experience was wonderful. He took time to explain everything and he has a wonderful way of getting my puppy used to his second collar and trained him with positive reinforcement to know where is boundaries are.

Lance was extremely prompt in responding to my request and setting up the appointment. We had our new fence installed within a week after the first contact! From the first discussions on the fence/wire types to the actual installation, everything was perfect. Lance spent a significant amount of time working with us and our puppy on the training with the new fence. He was gently with our puppy and thoroughly explained how to continue with the training. I would recommend Lance to anyone wanting an invisible fence for their dog.

Lance did a great job! We wanted to be very certain that our dog was not afraid to leave the house through the front door to go for a walk. We really only wanted the hidden fence in the back yard. So, Lance managed to do a double loop in the back yard (since it has to be a complete circuit) and leave the front yard open - if we leave to the collar on the dog accidentally when taking him for a walk, it is not a problem. Lance is great with the dogs - and with us. He explained everything thoroughly to us and worked with us and our dog to complete the training quickly and well. He was recommended by our dog trainer and we are very glad we followed through on the recommendation. His price is excellent as well. We highly recommend him.

We first met Lance through a next door neighbor who sang his praises. We enjoyed talking with him and eventually hired him to train our new dog. He was always punctual, professional and obviously loves what he does. His follow up was impeccable and he showed up at our house one evening 15 minutes after we called with a concern for our newly trained (and very curious) puppy. I can't think of another instance where I have received better service. I would use him hands down over any of the competition. Pricing was great but the service really is untouchable. He showed up when he said he would. He buried the line and showed us how to operate it. Lance taught us how to make the signal stronger, or weaker based on how wide you wanted the signal to go. Gave us training tips and flags. I still want to have him come back out and help train now the puppies are large enough to wear the collars.

Lance came out and installed a fencing system for our puppy. He worked with our neighbors on all sides to find which product would get the least amount of interference from their systems. He also moved my neighbors fence (with their permission) back into their yard since it was installed on our property. He responds very promptly to all phone calls, most times coming out that day. He also came back a couple of months after the initial install to wire up my flower beds since my puppy had dug up the irrigation piping in several places. He has the best customer service, he thoroughly works to get the system right. My dog got through the fence in the snow and he came out that day to put blue flags in the ground to improve her visual cues.
