Lance was great teacher not only for our dog but to help us and our kids learn all about the fence and how to train our dog to understand how the fence works. We have had if for a while, and it is the best alternative ever to having a real fence.

+ -1 moreThey were having a special on the fencing if we were able to commit to the project within a couple days of calling. We decided to go ahead and do it because the price was great compared to competitors. They came out on time and quickly and finished the jobe in a timely manner. They provided all necessary material and even extra parts for later. We did not opt for the dog training, but our dog picked it up quick with very little work and it has worked out great.

Description of Work: A couple of months ago I noticed that my invisible fence was acting up and affecting the way my dog used the yard. I called Lance, who came out right away and diagnosed the problem as a lightning strike. As he was replacing the main box and surge protector I asked him how much I owed him. Amazingly he said it was free, despite the fact that the equipment malfuctioned through no fault of his own. But, in typical Lance fashion, he didn't stop there. There is only one narrow passageway that my dog can use to get from the back to the front yard, and visa versa. Unfortunately, that is exactly where the line was malfuctioning. After fixing the fence, Lance set about retraining my dog. He literally crawled on his hands and knees, with my dog, through bushes and mud to show her that the area was once again safe for her to use. He was here for well over an hour, and wouldn't accept a dime. If there is another business out there, of any kind, so willing and even eager to provide such a high level of customer service, I've yet to find it. Lance treats every dog as if it were his own. To say that he, and his employees, go above and beyond is an understatement.

+ -1 moreI ordered the fence special from Lance's Hidden Fencing through Angie's List. The fence was scheduled to be installed. Prior to installation they sent a team to check for underground lines. They next came out and installed the fence. After installation our Husky was reluctant to adapt. I contacted Lance who switched out the collar with a stronger model. Our Husky has since adapted and is doing well. He still tests the fence every once and a while but its great not to have to use tie outs anymore. I appreciate the customer service from Lance and his team.
Description of Work: Lance's Hidden Fencing came to my dads house and installed an invisible fence. The fence was set up to contain our Siberian Husky within a 1 acre area.

They also came back to perform a 4-hour training. Lance is great with the dogs, and they were trained for the most part by the time he left on Day 1 !

+ -1 moreAmazing company! Our big dog needed a stronger collar after braking through the electric fence one time to chance a few deer. They brought it over that night within an hour on a Friday night!!! Lance knew we needed it right away because we live near a busy road and it was dark with a brown colored dog on the loose at night is not good. We had the new color on him by the time we let him out the last time for the night. Lance responded quickly even though I told him that tomorrow would be fine. This is a great company and I will refer them to anyone needing a invisible fence.
Description of Work: Amazing service! Lance came over immediately to give us an estimate. Ryan came to do the install and was so quick and polite. He even explained the machine to me when I had questions. I asked him to put the invisible fence part way into our woods and he did. We have just under an acre lot and he was done in under an hour.

+ 0 moreMy wife and I moved into a new home recently and we decided on getting an invisible/hidden fence for our hound dog as opposed to a link/rail fence. After searching AngiesList for potential companies to contact, we decided on giving Lance a call. We're very happy we did. Not only was his pricing very competitive, he and his staff were very friendly, informative, and patience in the installation and training session. We've only had the system in place for 1 week, but so far the results have been great. We continue to work with him on the boundaries in the yard on a daily basis, but we've also had a couple of great tests. The back of our property is wooded and frequently deer are in the yard. Yesterday, during a training session, we walked to the back yard and there were 3 deer along the tree line. My dog ran after them, and gave chase, only to put on the breaks just before the perimeter of the hidden fence line. Very exciting to see the process at work. Thanks Lance!

+ -1 moreWe purchased the Lance's Hidden Pet Fencing deal on Angie's List for $399. I was happy to find this deal as I had been quoted double this price the previous summer. When I called to schedule service they were able to come out within the week (right before Christmas - I assume not a busy time). The technician was great and we have been very pleased with our fence and equipment. We had Invisible Fence at our previous home and it was much more expensive to install and maintain. I would use this company again.

+ -1 moreScheduling was easy, Lance was prompt and the additional hour of training was worth every penny. Lance was great with our dog and provided great ideas to help make the transition to the pet fence. We have not had any issues. Recently, (March 2014) the unit that controls the system went bad - may have had a lightning strike. Lance was very accommodating for the repair and replaced the unit quickly.

They came out when scheduled and preformed the service quickly.The aeration was done without incident to the inground fence. We will to continue to use this company for all our dog fence needs. + -1 moreWe called on a slow day ( mild winter day right after NewYear's) and someone came out and installed our invisible fence the same day. We love it! Our dog, Yoda, did not like it. But Yoda no longer gets shocked; he stays within 10 ft of his boundary even when we accidentally leave off his collar.

+ -1 morebought the "Deal" online off of Angies List, called Lance's, got an appt scheduled for that week, and fence installed a few days after that...... they replaced a collar that wasn't strong enough for my dog within 24 hours of me calling them. Hard to beat the responsiveness and after sale customer service.

+ -1 moreI called Lances office and left a message. They got back to me right away. They gave me an estimate and we set up an appointment to have the work done. One technician came to do the work. He had to get through some pretty tight spots where the trees grow very close to the fence. It was not an easy job but the tech was pleasant and got the work done quickly. He instructed me on the use of the transmitter, gave me a collar and was off. Easy for me!
Description of Work: Replaced radio fence around our yard - removed old wire and laid new wire, installed new transmitter box and instructed me on it's use. Also gave us extra collars since our dog ran into a skunk. : )

It was very hot out and the puppy was not very cooperative but Lance kept working with her. He was great with her and us. I emailed him that night with questions and he responded that same night. The fence was installed in record time and the dog was well on her way to understanding the containment after the session. I am very pleased, my family is happy and the dog is even happier (the cats too).I had them come out a week later to install the indoor fence to prevent the dog from going into the basement. Again the reponse was immediate and the job done quickly and efficiently.

During the walk of the permitter we had two dead trees in the way and Lance helped me move the two trees out of the path. He was polite and well worth every penny spent. The added bag of treats he left for the dogs was a very thoughtful and generous thing to do.

We had never had a invisible fence before and never had a rescue dog that enjoyed jumping fences and taking off like our new dog, so this process was new to us. There was great communication with us on the installation process and timeline. The installer was on time and courteous, ensuring not to disturb our landscape during the installation and cleaned up everything afterward. Lance was WONDERFUL!!! His knowledge of animals and training was excellent. He worked with our dog and us extensively to help us understand how to train our dog and ensure the training process continued beyond the first day. Lance also provided us contact information so that if we had any further questions or concerns we could contact him. We actually had to ask some further questions afterwards and he prompted responded to our inquiry. The process and experience was fantastic - definitely would recommend Lance and his team.

+ 0 moreI'm not a big reviewer, but felt compelled to update my review of Lance after all he's done since installing and re-wiring the fence. His customer service is too good (almost) to be true (because it is true...). We've had issues with the dogs chewing up each other's collars, and Lance has come out and checked to make sure the collars work, and actually just replaced one that wasn't working. His charges, if there are any, have been minimal despite our need for him to come back out. He has answered the phone on more than one Sunday afternoon. Don't go to any other provider - Lance is the best, and you will never be sorry you used his company.
Description of Work: I have submitted a review for Lance before, when he put our fence in and trained our dogs about 3 years ago. Since that time, we have had Lance re-wire the yard to include front and back zones, and had a few issues with our dogs chewing each other's collars. The most recent charge was incurred a while ago for the re-wiring we requested, but I didn't get around to submitting a review right away (sorry for that).

That was just the installation of the invisible fence! The training session was a class of it's own for excellence! Lance spent 3 hours training our 2 dogs with the fence. Our little dog is a bit stubborn, but took to Lance immediately and the entire session was fantastic! I can't recommend using Lance's services enough. He is a godsend!

+ 0 moreFrom the initial phone call Lance and his team were the most professional individuals you could ask for. Not only did they squeeze us in last minute but they went way above and beyond in my opinion. Lance scheduled the installation for Thursday evening and the training (optional but well worth it) on Friday morning. They were in constant communication as far as when they would arrive and how long the installation would take and the whole experience was exceptional. Lance is a great trainer and had the dogs trained in no time. He gave us instructions for the first few days to make the experience as easy as possible and both dogs are doing great. I highly recommend their services and if we ever need repairs or anything they will be the first people we contact. Thanks Lance!
