Kresge Contracting

We have used him a couple of times. He has been excellent. He got the jobs done in a timely fashion. The cost was reasonable. We had him remodel our bathroom. We are totally satisfied with his services.

I thought they were very professional and I like the way they executed the contract. The work was fine and if we had any questions they were there to answer. Mark Kresge is always available and so was the supervisor. They were prompt and were realistic about the time frame to do the work and completed the job within the time frame they set. I will use them again in the future.

Kresge spent some time designing different options to meet our needs. They were patient with us and made a strong effort to present just the right thing to meet our needs. They continually checked to see if they were meeting our wants and requirements. We had originally set up a date for installation. We then asked to move the date a week ahead. They said that they could do that. Then they didn't really get started on the installation of the shelving until about a week later than the original date. They did a lot of measuring and remeasuring to make sure that the units they had designed would fit the allotted space and also to be able to accommodate the largest TV possible. Kresge also worked with Buckeye Audio to set up a sound system to pipe audio into the kitchen. Buckeye Audio in conjunction with the Kresge personnel did all the wiring to connect all the audio and visual elements of the system together including TV, DVD, blue ray and record player. The Kresge workers and project manager were conscientious and thorough in making sure that we were completely satisfied with their work.

We had a great experience with Kresge. The president, Mark Kresge, designed a new kitchen space by combining the dining room and kitchen. The end product was just like the design promised, and we love it. The project manager, Andy, was incredibly professional and skilled. He took care to seal off the rest of the house from the dust, and largely succeeded in making the 2 month project bearable by keeping the kitchen faucet and sink functional as long as possible and communicating regularly with us as to their progress. All the subcontractors used have worked with the company for years and were very professional as well. We were pleased with all their work. When we discovered problems once demolition began (the unexpected that you need to expect!), they did their best to minimize the extra cost, when possible, and gave us options when it wasn't. The few problems that appeared during the course of the project that were their fault were promptly and professionally addressed. I was impressed with how unflappable both Mark and Andy were - and how quick they were to do the right thing by us. We would gladly use them again when we are ready to work on another part of our house. We are thrilled with our new kitchen, and we feel good about the entire experience.

Kresge was very competitive with their pricing, They were not the cheapest, but also not the highest that we got other estimates from other contractors. Mark the owner was very willing to try to stay within our budget. The project started in the spring which we were very glad since you will lose your garage during the entire project. Who wants to scrape snow and ice off your cars in the freezing cold. Be prepared for lot of dirt and dust not only in the garage but also in the house. Andy, the project manager did the best he could to cover everything in the house. Andy and the staff did wonderful job keeping us informed of any delays, or problems during the entire project, Kelly the kitchen designer was a great help in designing the kitchen for us. Overall the kitchen remodeling was great success and we had many great compliments from both family and friends.

Scott was nothing but professional in all our dealings with him. He was attentive and followed up often, but not so much he was being a burden. In the end we chose another contractor only because Kresge could not do all the work we wanted with the materials we required within the budget we had available. I would highly recommend them to everyone.

He gave me a ball park number while he was out here, but he never actually gave me a quote. He gave me a layout of what his process was which I thought was very professional and I liked that. I just thought that he was kind of condescending, he wouldn't talk to me directly when he first got there. I had a male friend there with me and he was talking to him initially. So that was a little off putting. As we got into conversation he was a little better. Then he didn't follow up with me until after the time frame that I told him I needed a quote and I had already hired someone else. He just had an attitude toward me that didn't seem very considerate, he didn't seem very interested in doing the work. If he had given me a quote I might have been able to look over his personality. He didn't seem like someone who I wanted to do business with based on his approach toward me.

My experience with Kresge Contracting Inc Company has been wonderful so far. After I have them finish this job, I will absolutely consider using them in the future.

This was the third kitchen we have remodeled and the best experience of them all. I wish I had used them on the three bathrooms as well. Every aspect of the process went as smoothly as possible. They have wonderful software that makes it easy to visualize what the remodel will look like which facilitated decision-making. Pricing was clear and easy to understand. Everyone was professional, friendly and courteous. Should we have any more remodeling to do in the future we will use Kresge Contracting.

Our project manager, Andy, did an excellent job planning work, overseeing contractors, and keeping us informed.

They had a lot of experience doing the kind of thing that we wanted done. The individual we worked with was a certified kitchen designer. They were competitive on the pricing.

They were excellent. He was very thorough. He knew we were very price-conscious, and he was willing to work with us on that. I also looked at one of his remodeling homeshows, and it was absolutely beautiful. We didn't go with him for economical reasons.

They had installed some stairs for us in a couple of places. They had replaced the flooring in the entry way and also installed new appliances for us. They were willing to work with us and had used some software that would show us how things would look like after the work was finished. If I had any suggestions they would incorporate them. We had wallpaper in the kitchen and they had talked about doing something with that. They had quite a detailed list of things to do, and I found that to be impressive. They were very good people to work with.

The work looks excellent. His price was very competetive compared to other estimates. He was very professional and covered things to protect our carpet and personal belongings. They cleaned up after themselves and were top notch all the way. We would highly recommend them.

It went exactly as scheduled. The manager was always up front on all things.

We felt safe with them in the house while we were out. They were in the middle of the price range and their workmanship was excellent. We have had them come back to do our deck after that because we were so impressed. This company is willing to what it takes to make the client happy. The workers are polite and helpful and just very professional.

They were all real polite. They did a good job. They didn't seem very expensive. They were all very professional. I would highly recommend them and use them again.

They were a very responsible company. They kept us informed of when people would be coming to do different parts of the job. They were conscious of our budget needs and worked with us to stay within our budget. Their communication with us was just excellent. They fixed any problems that arose throughout the job. They advised us on interesting details and such that would enhance the project that we hadn't considered. They kept the dust and dirt to a minimum and cleaned up after themselves daily. They gave a lot attention to details in terms of the construction. The workers were prompt and personable and easy to deal with. We had a minimum of worry of whether or not the job was getting done and getting done right. The quality of their work was excellent. They had provided a lot of options to choose from and also were very patient throughout the decision-making process. They did not rush us to choose one item or another.

Very well. This was our second time hiring Kresge Contracting - we hired them for bathroom remodeling 7 years ago - and everything went very smoothly and as promised. Workmanship was top notch, project manager was personable, very professional and always addressed any questions we raised. Other workers did quality work. Friends and neighbors have a lot of remodeling horror stories - slow work, work done wrong, budget overruns, rude crews, unsatisfied with end results - but we didn't have any of those problems. These Kresge people know what they are doing.

Kevin, project manager , was on time every day. Answered all questions. Work site was kept very clean and dust was kept to a minimum. Very satisfied with the work done.

It took a while to get the project started because we needed a zoning variance (green space requirement). Mark Kresge worked with us to design a project that would fit well within our lot. I used Mark's drawings as the basis for the zoning appeal, which was granted in late September, 2006. Construction began in late October. Kresge had some hail-damaged roofs that needed repair, which delayed our project for about two months. Kresge kept us informed this whole time, however. The project began in earnest in early January, and got very intense in late February. March and April were the most intense months, with walls going up, floors and carpet being laid and walls painted. The Kresge crew was very professional and particular. The crew foreman continuously went out of his way to help us and keep us informed of their progress. Communication was excellent, as is the quality of the work. I recommend Kresge without reservation! You can trust them! We love our beautiful new sun room!

Mark is very professional and very organized. It was a pleasure to work with a well run and professional organization. This comes at a steep price, but the quality was outstanding. The job took 5 days when the original estimate was 2.5 days. That was acceptable since the quality was first rate. Kresge's showroom was very good and really helped in selecting the right hardware for our needs and budget. I had Kresge back out to estimate adding a shower to a 1/2 bath that was on the lower level with the floor being slab concrete. I opted not to have this work done due to the quoted price of $10,000. I just couldn't justify that kind of money on this kind of house.

THE WORK THAT WAS COMPLETED WAS GOOD AND WELL DONE. THE PROJECT MANAGER WAS PROMPT AT THE SITE, ANSWERED ANY OF MY QUESTIONS WHICH I HAD AND WAS A CREDIT TO THE COMPANY. I THOUGHT THE PRICING ON THE CHANGE ORDER WAS COSTLY, BUT IT WAS RESOLVED SATISFACTORILY.

A rep. called back for details of the project, which I provided. It said that unless we were prepared to spend 12 to 15 thousand dollars, there wasn't a need for him to come out. They said that they are a small company and didn't want to waste their time or money. This was a bit of a surprise, as I saw reports from other members were less than 12K was spent. While we were willing to spend that much, we thought he was rude.

They did a few things not quite the way we wanted, and then asked us about them afterwards. Other than that, they did a good job.
