KONKUS MARBLE & GRANITE

They did a good job of supplying it on time within 1 week. They also did a good job of re-polishing the surface to my satisfaction after I complained about it. They stood behind their work which satisfied us.

The service went great. Their measurements and install was highly recommended. One technician came out for the measurements and two for the install. The guy who did the measurements was amazing and dead on in his measurements. They completed the installation within 3-4 hours. They did an amazing job and the installations was seamless.

Ray Radel was our salesman, and we worked with him from start to finish. He was great. Everything turned out excellent. We would definitely use them again in the future.

I used Konkus two years ago to install a granite kitchen counter top along with an under mount sink. They did a fantasic job and I was highly satisfied. This year I decided to replace a bathroom counter top with granite so I contacted Konkus to complete the job. Once again they did a fantastic job. I would recommend them to anyone wanting any granite work done.

Our salesperson Brandon was on top of things from the start. He guided us through it all, we were present for the slabs being marked for cutting. He handled a difficult job of cutting onyx for a small floor area. They were on time, it was a long and large project, he kept perfect files on everything, the owner went over explaining an unusual piece of stone to us, going to a lot of trouble finding out everything we needed to know about the piece.

First the countertop was installed without holes for the faucet handles. Then someone came out to drill the needed holes, four more days without a bathroom.. and drilled the holes for one sink so that one hole is higher than the two others and closer to the center hole than the other. When I called about this I was told that the bit typically "jumps" and it was the plumber's responsibility to make it look even. Needless to say the plumber's reaction was not positive and he did not think it was his responsibility. I can understand a bit "jumping" a little and would not expect perfection but the hole is visibly, with the naked eye, higher and closer to the center hole than the other hole that is in line with the center hole. It looks amateurish and careless. And that is not within the plumber's power to correct, nor is it his responsibility.

We are extremely pleased with the entire experience from beginning to end. After shopping around, we selected Konkus mainly due to the very experienced and super friendly staff. There was no high pressure, just a lot of good information. We worked with Dana and he was amazing and fun to work with. The entire process was flawless, right down to the installation by very experienced and knowledgeable installers. We are so pleased that we are having all three bathrooms done by Konkus. It went exactly to plan. Everything they said they would do, they did and kept me completely in the loop. Everyone from the countertop install people to the sales force to the people answering the phone were very professional, courteous, and timely.

After some difficulty finding a company that was willing to do the repair or even to return my call, I contacted Konkus based on a search of Angie's list. The company was very responsive and willing to work with my schedule. Jim and Mark arrived promptly at the scheduled time and completed the work in about an hour. They were very neat and cleaned up all the dust and waste materials. They were very personable and answered all my questions. The work was excellent (can't tell where the chips were) and the cost was very reasonable. I would definitely use Konkus in the future and I recommend them without reservation.

The process was seamless from start to finish. First, I met with Mark Frost to discuss pricing and options. He then directed me to various granite suppliers to choose a slab. I generated a list of about 10 possibilities from the suppliers. After receiving the list, he forwarded quotes through my contractor. We then went back to the supplier and decided on a specific slab. I called in a credit card number to pay half down on the counters. A week or so later, they came to the house and measured my kitchen with lasers to determine the precise dimensions of the counters to be fabricated. A week or so later, I went in to Konkus to approve the layout of the counter tops on the slab with paper templates. John was awesome! Two weeks later, the came to install! I really cannot say enough about Pete Hoty and Carl Baldwin! They were professional and genuine! Pete kept us in stitches. When installation was completed, Pete gave me the 411 on how to take care of the counter tops! I will certainly order from Konkus again when we remodel the bathrooms!

I walked into Konkus without an appointment and was helped quickly. Dana was knowledgable and explained the whole process to me. He directed me to 2 marble and granite distributors they work with and let me go pick out the stone I wanted to use in my kitchen. There wasn't any pressure to buy anything I didn't want. In fact, they approved of the granite I picked out and said it was a beautiful stone to work with. After I chose the slab at Stone Mart, I put down half as a deposit with Konkus. We scheduled the time for me to place the template on the granite and the installation at this time. Konkus sent a very nice man to laser measure my counters. He explained how he was going to be sure the new counter fixed several problems he found with the old. He also showed me the drawing of the old counter with he new laid out on top to show me the differences on his iPad. After Konkus created a template of my new counter from the laser measurements, I was asked to come choose where I wanted the stone cut. I worked with Mike to move the template all around the slab until I found just the right place to highlight the grain to my satisfaction. Mike had marked 2 cracks in the stone that I needed to stay away from. I never saw them. Mike was very patient with me as we moved the template around for probably an hour. It was more difficult than I thought to choose the right spot! A week later, Drew and his team arrived with my countertop right on time. They were extremely careful handling the granite and respectful of my home. Drew explained what they were doing, answered all my questions, and assured me it would be perfect before he left. They installed the undercount sink. They asked me where I wanted the soap dispenser and drilled the hole exactly where I wanted it. The hole for the kitchen faucet was drilled at the shop before arriving. The counter was installed so well, that the guys delivering my new range commented on what a great job they did and how well the range fit! They said they didn't usually see such a good fit and such nice looking granite! Drew and his crew cleaned up everything including behind the refrigerator so I wouldn't have to move it to clean. They were fantastic!

Picking out granite as slabs was easy since Konkus has a large inventory on site. The team was helpful and walked us through the process. Installation was done in one day. We would use Konkus again.

Replace a bathroom countertop and did a great job

The service was very good. They were easy to work with and everything turned out well. They cleaned up well and left nothing behind. I have no complaints with the service.

Did not use due to cost, but not out of range of other marble vendors. Not much selection of soapstone.

It is our pleasure to share with you the positive experience we had with Konkus Marble and Granite, Inc. Tim Lybarger did an excellent job explaining the selection and installation process and providing us with a timely quote once we made a final granite decision. He also gave us some great advice on choosing the best granite colors to consider for our kitchen. Mike Cox recommended the best layout possible from the two slabs of granite. His template selections took into consideration the granite’s best hues and tints and avoided problematic fissures. Carl Baldwin and Bill Workman performed a careful and meticulous installation of our granite countertops and Blanco sink. They were professional, courteous, and a pleasure to work with. We are very pleased with our new granite countertops and sink and we will definitely enjoy them in the future. We have already recommended Konkus Granite to some of our friends. We visited their large showroom. Knowedgeable sale staff. They gave us various options. Installation was scheduled prompltly, and performed exactly as specified. My wife and I are extremely pleased with work, and went back to have them do the fireplace.

this job went well from start to finish. we looked at big box products but went with konkus and are glad we did. pretty large operation but they all work togther. no subcontractors. very efficient and pleasant folks to deal with. we are 65 miles north of them but no problem. I dk if they are cheaper than big box stores. what we picked was $70 sf. It fits perfectly and looks great.

Our kitchen sink detached from the granite countertop on July 4. The original installation (not done by Konkus) was at fault - they hadn't installed the appropriate support clips underneath. On Friday July 5 we were not having any luck finding someone capable and willing to do the repair until we called Konkus at 4:00 pm. Cyle from Konkus arrived by 5:00 and had the repair finished by 6:30. Top notch work and we really appreciated the quick response, allowing us to use our sink again by Saturday evening. Excellent!

It went well, and looks beautiful!

First I dealt with the guy that sent me off to the granite warehouses to look at granite. Then he gave me the estimates on the ones I liked. Then he put in the order with my slab selection when I paid a 50% deposit. Then I dealt with the guys that came to do the measurements in my house a couple weeks later. They used impressive looking high tech laser equipment. It took about 90 minutes. Then another couple weeks later I dealt with the guy laying out the template on my selected slab. He even let me see the impressive technology they use to cut the granite. Then I dealt with the scheduling guy to arrange the installation. I learned that even though they remove old sinks and install the new, they don't do plumbing. So I have to figure out how to separately schedule and time a plumber on my own so I am not left with a kitchen without running water and a working sink. Another couple weeks later and the installers arrive nearly on time, only a half hour late. Not bad. They covered all the kitchen appliances, that was nice, and removed the old counter. Then they started installing the granite. Halfway through one of the guys broke the backsplash piece. He went back to Konkus to try to find more from the same slab while the other two guys continued to work. Unfortunately, the other did not come back with the new backsplash even though the job got delayed over an hour. This delayed my plumber. The kitchen island counter did not completely accurately fit and left about a half inch gap by one corner where it meets the bar; I suspect it was not properly templated even with all the fancy equiipment. I said I was not really pleased with the detail (or lack of) and they said basically "oh well". Since my house is not a big, fancy, expensive house they probably thought it was not worth their effort. They then installed the new undermount sink (but not reattach the plumbing of course. Funny they can unattach the old, but not reattach the new). Then they attached the dishwasher to the granite with cheap plastic anchors drilled and screwed into the granite (eek!). They finally left and told me someone would come back the next day with a new backsplash piece and install. They gave no instructions on how to maintain the granite; I guess I have to learn that myself. The plumber was finally able to hook me up an hour later than planned. The next day I waited but they did not come back, nor did they call to tell me they were not coming. The next day they came on short notice with the backsplash piece and installed it. The next day, the cheap plastic anchors fell out of the granite the first time I used my dishwasher. The heat from the vent softened them up so they did not stay anchored in the granite. I'll just have to figure something out on my own. I'm done with these guys. One would think for granite professionals, they would have figured out how to secure a dishwasher underneath granite by now. I must add that Kyle was particularly nice and friendly though. A month later I got the bill to pay the remaining half.

Everything went very smoothly. They even had me come to their warehouse to do a layout on my actual slabs of materials. The installers were very good and they were careful not to mess up the floors, etc. We had one small spot that needed fixed after they were done installing. They came out quickly and did a great job on the small damaged spot. We can't even tell where it was!I would recommend Konkus to friends and family and would use them again. I worked with Nicole.

They are very professional and responsive. They did an excellent job and the price was fair.
