KONKUS MARBLE & GRANITE

From start to finish this company was excellent. This is the second time that I have used them. They told me where to go to select a piece of marble, measured my kitchen, and fully explained what things would look like. When my installation turned out to be a little tricky because of the location of my sink and stove, they helped me solve it. They were on time for their appointments and cleaned up after the installation. My daughter also hired them on the same day to install two bathroom countertops (cost $1500). This is an excellent company from the owner, to the salesperson, to the installers. The price was wonderful and comparable to other less quality tops.

We were extremely pleased - from start to finish- with the product and the service provided by Konkus Marble and Granite. All of the employees, and especially the owner Marc Konkus, are helpful, hard-working, efficient, and extremely professional. They are true to their word when it comes to price, quality of work, and arrival time. And the bonus is- we have a beautiful new countertop! When the time comes to replace the bathroom vanities, Konkus Marble and Granite will be our first choice.

They came out separate times to do those two jobs. They were fantastic. They were professional and responsive.

We selected a slab of granite but, when Konkus examined the slab more closely, called us indicating there were stress cracks in the material and they wouldn't sell it because it was not right. Since they had no other piece we liked, they directed us to several large granite shops to pick out another slab in a similar price range. Despite this glitch, they installed the counter top on the originally scheduled day - on time, on price and we are happy with the result. We were impressed with their honesty and fairness. Price was certainly competitive.

They were great to work with. When we first went to their location, Ray noticed we were having problems selecting a piece. He sent us to two other locations to look at more granite pieces. We came back and ordered the piece on the first visit. Then they had someone come out to measure the counter tops the next week. They installed the tops two weeks later. Very nice job.

They did a spectacular job. There was no damage to my walls or vanity during the tear out. It was a very long tight space. They helped me pick out a beautiful piece of granite that complimented my entire bathroom. They were very prompt, helpful, and knowledgeable. They have a large inventory of wonderful pieces and lots of helpful advice. Definitely give them a look. It will be well worth your time and money. A plus!

What a great company to work with. Very professional. Not pushy. Took time to walk the yard to find the right piece of stone. Good selection to choose from; better than many places we previously looked. We had checked with several other stone companies for a bathroom counter in a remodel. We came across Konkus at the Best of Fall Home Show in September & I'm happy we did. Very pleased with everything from the salesman, to the 'measurer' to the installers. Very prompt with appointments set for measuring and installing. I would highly recommend & most definitely will use again.

We initially used Konkus to install granite countertops for our kitchen and were so happy that we decided to use them again for our bathroom vanities. My only complaint is that the front office staff is not the most professional BUT everyone else is top notch. The employees who measure, cut and install are very professional and well trained. We are very happy with the results!

We went to Konkus not knowing much about granite and the difference between other types of counters. They were very helpful and explained everything to us. The day my slab was cut I went in and inspected the slab. I am very short and could not see because of a glare so they retrieved a ladder for me and we had some good laughs. They even let me take pictures of the slab before it got cut. It was pretty neat. Then they came out to my house an installed it in one day. They were very clean and professional.

The showroom experience was very good. They have a great selection and you can pick the exact piece of granite you want in the lot, and they will hold it until they come out and do the template and measure. They worked well with our cabinet maker and were willing to measure before the old counter was removed and the new cabinets installed because the footprint was the same. This saved a lot of wait time. The install was not without problems and it took 5 trips to get everything straightened out, but they were willing to keep coming back and got it right in the end.

I highly recommend these guys. From start to finish they provided exceptional service and good pricing. Quote process was faster than most, and when we didn't see exactly what we wanted in their stock, they steered us to their local supplier. Lots to choose from there, and found what we liked. Seamless communication from their supplier to, so no dropped ball there (although DID drop our granite slab, ouch...). Mark, the Production Manager, was very helpful and flexible with my schedule when I asked to expedite things (and then ultimately slow things down). The install was fantastic, on-time, down a winding staircase to the basement with no dinged walls, floors, or thrown out backs. They tweaked the fit to the best of their abilities, scoring the drywall to allow for more room. Caulked it up and left. In and out in just over an hour. All in all, you can't go wrong with these guys and I will definitely use them again when we re-do other areas.

They have excellent quality and selection. They let us set up the pattern on the granite before cutting it. The seams don't show at all.

Konkus was an excellent company to work with. Everyone there was polite, knowledgeable and prompt. This price was excellent and lower than I had received for corian or quartz from other Angie Lists recommendations. Marc Konkus remembered that he had some small pieces of granite in the material that I selected, that saved me money. This was perfect for the smaller vanities that I was doing. The installation was great. Another advantage of this company is that they had a plumber, who I hired independently from the cost of the vanities to install new fixtures. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again without hestitation.

KONKUS IS FANTASTIC. THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL, CONSIDERATE, TIMELY, ETC. THEIR QUALITY IS EXCEPTIONAL. WE GOT 3 BIDS FOR THIS WORK. KONKUS WAS THE MIDDLE BID, BUT AGREED TO MATCH THE LOWEST BID. ADDITIONALLY, THEY WERE THE ONLY COMPANY THAT WOULD TEAR OUT THE OLD COUNTERTOPS THEMSELVES. MOST EVERYONE ELSE REQUIRED A DIFFERENT COMPANY TO TEAR OUT EXISTING COUNTERTOPS. THE INSTALLERS WERE EXTREMELY FRIENDLY. YOU WILL NOT GO WRONG WITH KONKUS!!!

WAS VERY PLEASED WITH THE NEATNESS AND FINISHED PRODUCT. WOULD NOT HESITATE TO REFER THEM TO FRIENDS. BONUSES WERE A CAESERSTONE CUTTING BOARD. WE HAD A SKETCHED DRAWING OF OUR SON HANGING ON THE BACK OF OUR DOORWAY AND WAS TOLD IT WOULD LOOK NICE ETCHED IN A PIECE OF BLACK GRANITE--WE GOT A PHONE CALL THAT IT WAS READY. FREE OF CHARGE.

EVERYONE WAS PROFESSIONAL AT KONKUS. FROM QUOTE TO INSTALLATION, I WAS IMPRESSED WITH EACH OF THE INDIVIDUALS I WORKED WITH. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM AND USE THEM IN THE FUTURE.

THEY WERE VERY RESPONSIVE AND COMPETITIVELY PRICED. THE INSTALLERS WERE VERY PUNCTUAL AND DID A GREAT JOB. COUNTERS LOOK BEAUTIFUL! MY ONLY COMPLAINTS ARE: 1) THEY FORGOT TO BRING SOME BACKSPLASHES SO HAD TO RESCHEDULE TO INSTALL THEM - HOWEVER THEY WERE RIGHT ON TIME AND QUICKLY COMPLETED THE REST OF THE JOB. AND 2) THE HANDYMAN THEY SUPPLY TO RE-HOOK THE SINK WAS NOT VERY RELIABLE OR PUNCTUAL - HE WAS EXTREMELY LATE TO RE-HOOK THE PLUMBING, ETC AND STILL HAS NOT COMPLETED ALL OF THE WORK HE WAS SUPPOSED TO (INSTALL WOOD TRIM WHERE COUNTERS WERE RAISED), BUT WE'RE JUST GOING TO DO IT OURSELVES SINCE HE HAS ALREADY MISSED 2 APPOINTMENTS TO DO THE WORK. OVERALL, THOUGH I WAS VERY PLEASED WITH KONKUS MARBLE & GRANITE AND WOULD RECOMMEND THEM. I WOULD JUST SUGGEST USING YOUR OWN PLUMBER/HANDYMAN RATHER THAN USING THEIRS. IF NOT FOR THAT, I WOULD HAVE GIVEN STRAIGHT A'S.

EVERYONE WE MET AT THIS COMPANY WAS GREAT TO DEAL WITH AND DID A TERRIFIC JOB. I AM VERY PLEASED TO RECOMMEND THEM.

WHOEVER IS HIRING THERE KNOWS HOW TO LOOK FOR GOOD PEOPLE. ANSWERED ALL QUESTIONS PATIENTLY. ON TIME, POLITE, CLEAN; I WISH ALL BUSINESSES WERE LIKE KONKUS. ANGIE'S DISCOUNT. GREAT SELECTION OF STONE AT THEIR MAIN LOCATION. THEY MISSED A SMALL LINE OF CAULKING ON ONE BACKSPLASH. I DIDN'T SEE IT UNTIL THEY LEFT. WHEN I CALLED THEY CAME WITHIN 5 HOURS TO MAKE A 4'' LINE OF CAULKING BETWEEN COUNTERTOP AND VERTICAL CABINET. THEY ARE SWAMPED WITH BUSINESS, SO I WAS IMPRESSED THEY GOT SOMEONE OVER HERE SO QUICKLY JUST TO FIX THAT ONE LINE OF CAULKING. THE BLACK GRANITE COUNTERTOPS LOOK INCREDIBLE; SHINY, OPTIMISTIC. THEY SELL PSYCHOLOGY, NOT JUST STONE WORK!!!!!

THEY WERE EXCELLENT, OVERALL. THEY CAME ON TIME, STAYED ON BUDGET, AND WERE ACCURATE AND CAREFUL. THE INSTALLERS WERE ESPECIALLY COMMENDABLE - THEY WORKED QUICKLY, BUT SKILLFULLY AND WERE COURTEOUS AND PROFESSIONAL. THEY WERE EVEN NICE TO MY TWO BARKING DOGS. THE COUNTERTOP LOOKS WONDERFUL AND FITS PERFECTLY.

OVERALL GOOD, BUT SOME ITEMS COULD HAVE BEEN DONE BETTER, OR WISH THAT WE HAD TALKED ABOUT DESIGN ISSUES MORE. GREAT PRICE.

FAST, ACCURATE AND ARTISTIC. HE PROMISED HED BE DONE IN A WEEK AND HE WAS. THIS WAS A COMPLICATED JOB AND IT LOOKS SPECTACULAR.
