KONKUS MARBLE & GRANITE

Description of Work: We needed a small granite top for a new cupboard that was added to the kitchen. We found a remnant that we really liked. They cut it to size and we installed it as was a small job.

Description of Work: They made a custom counter top for a custom made bathroom sink base. It came out exactly as ordered. They have an extensive inventory of remnant pieces of marble and other solid surface materials to choose from.

Description of Work: Very nice and quick. I was torn between giving them an A or B. I will say there was a bit of a mishap with timing and price but we got what we needed and the quality seems great. I called on the phone with specific measurements color, the girl told me $55 for the window sill piece that we needed. She said it normally takes about a week to a week and a half for normal / larger piece orders but she said she could possibly get our order done that day since it was such a small piece. I sent my husband to go pick it up and he was charged $70 and told they would call us. I called about a week later and explained the situation. While I was not given the lower price they did get the piece done in time. I didn't argue much with the price although the communication mishap was disappointing, the price was much lower than granite rocks who installed our counter tops. We got what we needed and the price is fair even though it was higher than stated. It is what it is on that end.

Description of Work: WE REPLACED OUR FORMICA COUNTERTOPS WITH GRANITE. KONKUS PROVIDED US WITH A WRITTEN ESTIMATE FROM OUR MEASURED DRAWING WHEN WE WENT TO THEIR SHOWROOM. THEY CAME AND MEASURED, THEN HAD US COME INTO THEIR SHOP TO APPROVE THE LAYOUT OF THE COUNTERTOPS ON THE GRANITE SLABS. THE WORK WAS DONE WITHIN 3 WEEKS OF OUR INITIAL VISIT. THEY HAD TO RE-DRILL THE HOLES FOR THE FAUCETS ONCE THE COUNTERTOP WAS IN PLACE (THE HOLES WERE TOO SMALL IN DIAMETER FOR OUR FAUCETS). IT WAS NOT A PROBLEM. WE ARE VERY PLEASED WITH THE GRANITE, THE WAY THE COUNTERTOP FITS, AND THE FINISHING DETAILS.
