Three voicemail messages left in a two day period. Never received any call back. If they couldn't get to me they could have given me the courtesy call explaining. Never heard a word. Very surprising with the fact they received the super service award in 2005, 2007 and 2014. I would not recommend Joe Gioffre Electric to anyone.

Couldn't be more pleased! Rick was able to come in troubleshoot and fix the problem in 1 hour. I had another electrician out a few weeks earlier, spent two hours, got me nowhere and still charged me full price. He kept the work area clean during and after (booties and all) and was professional. He even showed me a few things I could use in the future to indicate whether or not the previous homeowner had something hanky (definitely the case here). Did I mention he spotted and fixed another problem in less than 5 minutes while he was here!

Rick was top-notch. He diagnosed the problem quickly and fixed everything. Also discovered a dangerously wired outlet and fixed it in process. Was so favorably impressed that I'm having them come back out for more extensive electrical work that I've been putting off for over a year.

I made the initial contact to request an estimate for electrical work and got no reply. Over the past few weeks, I started rating companies for no response. I spend a lot of time researching companies and reading reviews. Companies should respond as a professional courtesy.

I bought one of Joe's prepaid labor packages where I paid the $$$ up front for 3 hours of labor and sent him this list of items with the expectation that we could knock out a couple of these things, but I understood we wouldn't get all of them crossed off the list. Joe sent Rick out to take care of me (Rick is on the team - they don't sub-contract) and I can't thank either of them enough. Rick was professional, courteous, patient, informative, flexible, thoughtful, and just about every other positive adjective you could apply to someone working on your home. He acted with a great sense of urgency as if he was paying for the labor himself, and he helped me maximize the time that I had paid for in advance. He finished literally every item I had on my list!!!! It did take an extra 30 minutes of labor, but he set expectations throughout and made sure I was able to make an informed decision with absolutely no pressure one way or another. Overall it was a great customer experience and it exceeded all of my expectations (which were high to begin with). I haven't even mentioned the quality of work yet. Everything was done with attention to detail. The fit and finish were clean and professional, and Rick cleaned up each portion of the job quickly as he moved from one project to another. When I need electrical work again, I'm definitely calling Joe. You should too.

there were some scheduling issues, which finally worked out. the employee who came out was professional and did good work quickly and satisfactorily. the scheduling issues were that they were supposed to come out one afternoon, and didn't show, and didn't call. They then couldn't come out the next day, but the following day they came out first thing in the afternoon.

The electrician arrived on time and worked almost all day. He had to go out and get more specialized plates for certain outlets. I am so happy to have outlets that work now! Our old outlets were not functioning properly. He replaced nearly 60 outlets and switches. My house looks much more updated now. Price includes my Angie's List discount.

While a few 3-prong outlets were installed before we bought our house (built 1960) in 2008, it still had many 2-prong outlets. The main bathroom had a 2-prong outlet & light switch on 1 plate, w/ a separate plate for the fan switch. Rick put the fan switch & light switch together, then installed a GFCI outlet closer to the sink area. He also changed so many 2-prong outlets to 3-prong that I lost count--! At least six or seven more. We also spent some time discussing other electrical issues and possible future work, at my request. Rick worked fast- he probably could have installed at least 3 or 4 more outlets-! But he was not in a hurry to leave, and wanted to make sure I got my 3 hours' worth, promised in the Big Deal. If you have a project like mine, my suggestion would be either to count up the # and color of outlets, switches, etc, so he can make sure to bring the right supplies (I got lucky, he had what I needed) or buy them in advance. It was only $130 for the materials, though (285 Special + materials = $415).

Joe got back to me quickly to get an appointment set up and the electrician, Rick, was fantastic. He was on time and diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. I Absolutely plan on using them for any future needs.

The electrician Joe sent, Rick, EXCEEDED expectations. I had a list prepared by order of importance. I was unable to be here due to a work, so my wife met Rick. She said he was very professional. I was hoping he would be able to solve at least 2 of the 4 problems we were having. Rick was able to complete the entire list and help us with additional issues as well. Thanks Rick for your diligence and integrity!

It went extremely well, as I expected. I have used this company before and have always been extremely happy with their service. The electrician was very professional, friendly, and very accommodating in explaining what we needed and what he was doing.

Prompt, professional and easy to work with. I am a landlord and had to coordinate the appointment and payment remotely between tenant and electrician. Quick and painless, reasonably priced.

The workman did not look at a list of work I wanted done and did not do everything, so I had to hire someone else to finish the job. Furthermore, he was very rude to my painter. She was getting ready to paint the bathroom and she asked if she should fill in 2 holes that he had drilled in the wall to find the stud, because she was going to paint that wall. He yelled at her that she wasn't his boss and that he didn't take directions from her or my realtor. I was not there at the time. Earlier, at my realtor's request, she had reminded him that he had put a dent in a bedroom ceiling. I think he was trying to enter the upper attic, but he did not find the proper access for it. He reported to his boss that she was rude to him first. He also didn't wear shoe covers and tracked in muddy water. I deducted the charge for repairing the ceiling from the total that I paid him, which he had preferred that I do.

Bought a 3hr deal and asked them to fix an outdoor outlet 2 other electrical providers had been unable to do anything with. He looked it over and decided the best course of action was to simply run a new line and install a new outlet. He did that and replaced an old 2 prong outlet in the kitchen with a new grounded outlet. He worked quickly and professionally and cleaned up nicely after.

First of all, in making the appointment, Joe actually answered the phone (a rarity in today's world), was very professional and a pleasure to talk with. He also gave me a quote over the phone - so appreciated! Rick installed the chandelier and did an excellent job. Such a pleasant person, respectful of the house, cleaned up after the installation, and really gave you a feeling that he knew what he was doing. Things are working fine and think they will continue to do so. Will definitely use them again!!

Great electrician. Very nice and performed very good work. Will certainly use them again. Joe answered all my questions on the phone and was very helpful. Will use them soon to install some ceiling lights.

Both my double oven and electric cooktop stopped heating over New Year's weekend. I had to wait a couple of days for an appointment that worked for both of our schedules, but the electrician arrived on time (with a call as he was leaving his prior job location) and got right to work. After checking the junction boxes and circuit panel, it turned out that the problem was at the meter box. It turns out this was an AEP issue to fix and restore the 240 supply (120 was still working). They provided me all of the info I needed to contact AEP - service was restored later that day. (Shout out to the AEP service man also for courteous service). Customer service from Joe and company was top-notch throughout - thanks!
