Joe Gioffre Electric Co

The work was okay - it wasn?t exceptional or anything. He was a little expensive but I needed somebody quick. He was able to come over and get the job done. I would use him in the future, if necessary.

On a Monday afternoon, I called the Joe Gioffre Electric Co. and left a voicemail concerning a circuit breaker problem for my furnace and for a sump pump and a problem with a light over the kitchen sink that kept flickering and going out. He returned my call relatively quickly and set up an appointment for the following day. He did give me suggestions as to what to do in the meantime, suggestions that worked very well. He called the next morning and rescheduled his time from late afternoon to the early morning which was greatly appreciated. He came to the house, analyzed the problem, made sure the furnace and the sump pump were on separate circuits and replaced the breakers. Things are working well now. We have constant heat without the thermostat and furnace circuit breaker tripping and no more water is left on the basement floor for the sump pump has electicity going to it and is working fine. As far as the light above the sink is concerned, a change in the bulb wattage fixed that problem just as he suggested. I was pleased with Joe's responsiveness, punctuality and professionalism. As far as price is concerned, I have nothing to compare it to. By researching Angie's List for an electrician, I immediately called the Joe Geoffre Electric Co for service based on the comments and ratings listed. I will use the Joe Gioffree Electric Co again for other electrical problems I may have in the future.

Joe was prompt, professional and did not waste time on the job. We had Joe do some electrical work a few weeks before and had informed him that we would be having a home inspection soon. He pointed out a few things we may need to have corrected and said if we chose to use his services again we would not be charged a second service charge. We hired him back for this second visit. We were very happy with the service provided! One note: We have a very friendly, overly rowdy dog and Joe took it all in stride.

Called Joe regarding a non-functioning outlet. After a very brief description of the problem over the phone and some diagnostic questions, Joe suggested I turn on the switch and see if the outlet started working. Lo and behold it worked! (We haven't used the wall switch in that room for over 10 years, so had forgotten about it.) Joe is a BRILLIANT MAN; you can't beat common sense, especially if it's free.

I don?t think there was any problem. I talked to the owner and they came when they said they would. They stayed within their quote. I would use them in future.

He did a phenomenal job. He came out right on time for the appointment and he did exactly what we asked him to do. I had to take time out of work to be home for their service and they did everything so well that it was worth it.

I called right at 7:30 when the office opened. Joe answered and was very friendly and easy to deal with. He agreed to send someone that afternoon Dennis called about a half hour before arriving and actually came a little before noon. He was very efficient and friendly. He quickly replaced my two malfunctioning smoke detectors after checking to be sure the wiring wasn't the problem, checked out my others at my request, and gave me an estimate for replacing the remaining 3. It is very difficult to replace the batteries in my current detectors. The ones Dennis installed are much easier to get to and don't have to be taken down to replace the batteries. So I was interested in possibly replacing the remaining detectors even though they currently were functioning OK.

Spoke with Joe on a Wednesday. He sent Dennis out the following morning. Arrived exactly when they said they would. Quality was very good. The price they charge is very fair. Dennis is very professional. Only other comment is that if you have almond-colored electrical components, (plugs, covers, etc.), be sure to indicate that up front.

Everything was excellent. They were very prompt and reliable, and it was a very successful experience.

Excellent experience with this company. I called the morning of the day I was hoping to get someone to come out, and they were able to have someone at my house by 9:00 a.m. the same day. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem within a half hour.

Great. The morning after I called, an electrician was out to give me an estimate. He was back out the next week when he said he would be, did an excellent job, and was very professional.

I got him from AL. I called him. He was rude over the phone. He stated the job I was asking about was too difficult. I eventually thanked him and hung up. I was able to find another electrician who was able to do the work for $120.

He met my expectations. He was available. He did the work within the time frame and the estimate he quoted.

The response was quick. The workmen were professional, finished the job quickly and neatly. They also explained why the new wiring was safe and done "the right way".

When we called on a Friday a real person answered the phone, asked what we needed and immediately made an appointment for us on the following Tuesday for "mid-morning". He also asked if we had light bulbs for the fixture since many people don't think to buy them, especially if they are not standard bulbs. The electrician called us an hour before he arrived. He arrived about 11 a.m. He installed the new fixture without difficulty and recommended that we not save the old fixture since it showed evidence of some damage. Start to finish it took about 45 minutes. He was very careful not to track snow and ice into the house, and suggested we cover the computer and desk with a sheet or drop cloth so nothing fell into the keyboard, and for easy clean up.

The repairman arrived when scheduled and even moved the wire outside away from the window to meet new code requirements. The job was completed the same day and seems to be done right. Everything is working great.

He did a good job - neat and tidy - his final plan to move the wiring eliminated potential extensive damage to ceiling and walls and he came up with what I thought was a fair price. He explained what he was going to do, explained what he did and had helpful suggestions for me on some other wiring issues. GREAT JOB!

He was punctual, and everything went really smoothly. He cleaned up very well after himself, and he even gave me tips for my insulation and drywall!

They are coming back to fix a cable in the back bedroom that needs to be re-routed. They also looked at other work. I thought they were terrific, wonderful. They showed up when they were supposed to and were professional.

The electrician called when he was 10 min away, which was helpful. He was very polite and professional and listened attentively as I described what I needed done. After determining where the electrical feed entered the house, he disconnected the feed and plugged the external hole. He was especially concerned with not tracking mud / dirt throughout my house - very considerate! He was done in 45 min and I got the 10% Angie's List discount!

Called on a Tuesday and set up appointment for Friday. The electrician was on time, assessed the work needed and gave me the price. The work was done quickly and professionally.

It went fine. They were pretty late and when I called Joe he admitted he had lost my work order and said that he would have someone out there in under 30 minutes, and they were. I liked the electrician. He was a little flabbergasted as to what the problem was, but found it, showed me what was going on, which was helpful, and then fixed it! I was a little surprised it was almost $200 to essentially put in a new outlet, but they did run new wire from the outlet to the circuit box, giving the refrigerator a dedicated circuit. It was well worth the $190. I was very relieved and satisfied.

Mr. Gioffre installed the circuit, cleaned up the debris from drilling and tested the microwave to ensure everything was working. He is a licensed electrician.

I called in an electrician because I wanted someone to check the wiring, and didn't feel confident to make that judgment myself. Everything went smoothly, and I have no complaints.
