Joe Gioffre Electric Co

Here's where it got strange. i thought I was dealing with Joe Gioffre Electric Co but instead it appears they sub-contracted with a company called My Electric Works .... when I asked if he was sub-contracted and why not Gioffre he was unable to answer so he made a preliminary diagnosis then said it would could $470 dollars to replace one GFI outlet and remove 3 GFI's on the same circuit and install normal outlets which I thought was way too much so i paid the estimate fee and will hire someone to replace the outlets at a price I can live with. Three points: Why did Angie's List not note that this company uses subcontractors and not their own employees, why does the phone number 614-689-3489 that Angie's List provides connect one to a number that rings and rings and then goes to a busy signal and finally why wouldn't a reputable company provide an hourly rate so customers have a better idea of what to expect? Not a good Angie's List experience; not a good Joe Gioffre Electric experience. The young electrician who works for My Electric Works was competent but I would not have ordered an estimate had I know it would be a sub-contractor and not the company reviewed by Angie's List who would show up.

Rick did an excellent job and was very professional. He even let me observe and showed me how to do in case I need to move any more outlets in the future. I will definitely hire Rick again and recommend him to anyone in need of an electrician.

Excellent service and professionalism from the time that I made the appointment until the job was finished. Appointment was obtained within a few days. Reasonable price for how long the installer was here. Definitely recommend this company. I will use them again. I love working with a small contractor.

Excellent Experience! Called the office on a Tuesday and there was an opening for a Thursday appointment. Rick was running a little behind at another job and was in contact every step of the way updating his arrival time. He showed up right when he said he would and was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. He did an extremely professional and efficient job! It took him an hour and a half to complete the job! He even saved drywall cutouts and reinstalled sections he had to cut! I couldn't have been happier with the service, we will definitely use him in the future! I have already recommended him to others!

It went a lot faster than expected.

It went swimmingly. We have been using this company for years and recommended them to the entire neighborhood. Rick is fast, efficient and friendly. Always wears booties over his shoes when he comes into the house and the price is always reasonable. He has done some major projects in the area and the neighbors are always happy that he did the job. There are quite a few Pacific Electric main panels in this area that were recalled 30 years ago as being a fire hazard that were never replaced. Check to see if you have one and if so call Joe Gioffre Electric. No we are not related we just think they are that good.

Rick Heltz showed up on time and was very professional. To move the ceiling light, he had to cut a couple holes in the drywall ceiling. He minimized the hole sizes and replaced the cutouts back in the ceiling and explained the best way to patch everything back to normal. Everything works and is placed where we wanted it. He did a great job.

Job was done quickly, professionally and below estimated cost

It was a pleasant experience from start to finish. I had the wrong length extendor for the ceiling fan and he went and purchased the correct length plus did all the other work in less than 2 hours. He was very efficient and, for what he did, I feel the price was very reasonable for an electrician. I would definitely use his services in the future.

Quick and easy, pleasure to work with!

We hired Joe Gioffre to handle some electrical work around the house. Rick came out and was great. He was extremely personable and professional, making quick work out of a few miscellaneous projects. There was an issue with some of the wiring he completed, but after we discovered it, he came back out quickly to fix it. We will no doubt call them again in the future, sooner rather than later as we already have a few other things that need taken care of. The only reason I gave a "B" rating for responsiveness is because they were booked so many weeks out into the future. That's only further evidence of their quality of work. For selfish reasons I hesitated to write the review, but would gladly recommend Joe and Rick.

Minor power outage several weeks ago knocked out several electrical outlets. Purchased 3 hours of service time from provider, who fixed breaker switch that was responsible for problem. Provider also installed a pull chain on a hallway light. Very happy with service and would not hesitate to use them again.
