The technician (Rick) was very knowledgeable and his work was both efficient and very compete.

Rick was dispatched to look at the initial job. He stated he would discuss with his boss what was the best way to approach fixing it and would get back with me the next day. That was Tuesday. I gave them until Friday with no response. On Friday I decided to give them a courtesy call in case they had gotten busy and misplaced my job. I left a message and yet again no reply. I then decided to take my business else ware.

He did a wonderful job, arrived on time and was very polite and professional. I would definitely use him again.

To put it in a nut shell, he was just a crumugen. Must be some retired electrical person.

I was very pleased with the service. I am going to call him for future work as well, to possibly update a circuit breaker.

They were great and reasonably priced.

They were able to quickly get us on their schedule when we needed them which was one of our main reasons for going with them since we were on a time line with multiple different types of jobs to be done. They came on time and called ahead. After the job was completed they left and we quickly realized that one outlets that was installed didn't work. My husband called but by the time they were able to come back he had already started to fix the problem. Although, it was not his installation directly that was the problem we felt his should have made sure the outlets all worked before leaving. Overall, we are happy because everything works. They charged us as quoted but for the <2 hr job we thought $475 was kind of high.

I appreciated the fact that they were willing to come and troubleshoot and then work through the problems as they could be identified. The electrician was friendly and professional and worked efficiently getting the repairs done.

Joe was able to have someone out within 2 hours. The technician was very professional and took now longer than 10 minutes to replace the fixture and get the light working. He asked if I needed anything else fixed while he's here so that I wouldn't have to incur service call fee later. I proceeded to have him replace the door bell that hasn't worked in 3 years, and a fan in one of our bathrooms. Neither was urgent but very nice to have them fixed. Had most items with him but was very accommodating and ran over to his supply warehouse to get a replacement fan. Was back within 20 minutes and got thigs working. Only downside is that I forgot to print off the 10% coupon that was avaialbe. However, the fee was very reasonable and I've now found an electrician that I will call for any furture needs.

I called Joe to get an estimate and I set up the appointment. He told me to call his voicemail immediately after we talked to record the details of the job for him. I know a lot of trades people do this, but I find it annoying. On the day arranged for the job, no one turned up at the agreed time window. I called and Joe had no record of the job though he did seem to recall my phone call. He sent the electrician over towards the end of the day. The job was done and the price seemed reasonable (I supplied all parts). I am not sure I would use this company again because of the problem in arranging the date/time.

Job went great! Labor estimate was accurate and put extra care into job that enabled us to be in house at same time in the dead of winter while he did his work with no inconvenience. High quality install job, cleaned up afterward, showed us how to operate new emergency backup switch, and did a test run by Firing up my generator.

The electrician came on time on the day he was to come. He was neat and clean and made a good appearance. He did the work quickly and was very near. I will call him again if needed. Helen Liebert

Overall, it went great. Rick arrived (earlier than expected) to install a grounded outlet for new stove. He knew how to approach it, explained thoroughly, was very quick. He made small holes in error (discovered duct work) but pointed it out to me. He was very nice and efficient. My only minor concern was in clean up. So far, I found some metal and wire pieces on the floor and a couple of items not put back in place. I did not see this until later and it was not significant enough to call, but would recommend checking at the time. He was very thoughtful in wearing shoe coverings since it was wet outside. I would definitely use them again.

The only snag we ran into was not the fault of our technician. The lights we purchased at Home Depot were missing parts so the technician was unable to finish the work in one day. However, they put us at the beginning of the schedule the next day and came out for a minimal price to finish the job once we had acquired the needed parts. We were very happy with the work that was completed.

Called Joe Gioffre on a Friday morning and mentioned I needed work done quickly. I explained the work wanted and that I already had some of the materials required. He gave me an estimate over the phone and scheduled Rick to come out on Monday morning. Rick was pleasant and wore slip-on covers over his shoes to protect my hard-wood floors. I went over the work needed and Rick completed everything in a couple of hours. Rick asked if there was anything else he could help with. He drilled a hole in the wall-framing that I did not have the tools to do. I wanted to run coaxial cable through it. He fished an ethernet cable through an existing hole from the basement to the 1st floor. It was in a really tight spot and I was having trouble with it. He fixed a light bulb in a fixture that was not lighting because the contact had been shoved in and explained what I could do to resolve if it happens again. He also went over the details of how he fixed the 4-way switch problem that I had originally wired myself. Rick was so friendly, professional, and helpful. I would definitely hire for future work and recommend to others. A bonus in the whole deal was that the actual cost came in below the original phone estimate.

We were scheduled to have another electrician come out on Saturday to move an electrical and cable outlet. This work was to be completed on Saturday so that painting could begin on Tuesday morning. The scheduled electrician was a no show. So, at 7pm Saturday evening, I began calling electricians hoping that I could find someone who would come out on either Sunday or Monday. I found Joe Gioffre's telephone number on an invoice he left with an acquaintance. I called the number and a very unpleasant and grumpy Mr. Gioffre (I presume) answered the phone. Apparently he was upset that I called him at 7pm on a Saturday evening. If you do not want to be bothered by customers on the weekend, you have several options other than being confrontational. You could, for example, not pick up the phone and let it go to voicemail. If I called the wrong number, you could not give that particular number out to customers. Or, if you're going to answer the phone, you could just be courteous. I read in another review here that Mr. Gioffre "was extremely defensive & condescending." I concur.

Perfect. I had called several other companies that told me it would be almost a week to come out and even look at my issue. I was having a holiday party in 4 days and really wanted my Christmas lights working. I called Joe after trying the others and not being satisfied with them telling me it would be a week. Joe answered right away and even tried to trouble shoot the problem with me over the phone. Unfortunately it wasn't an over the phone fix so Joe said he would have one of his guys call me and schedule a time to come out that same day. I was a bit skeptical that someone would actually call me but he did and was at my house within a couple hours. The young man that came out was very nice, knowledgable and fixed my problem for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend them to anyone and Joe will be the first person I call in the future.

The service man called 1/2 hr ahead was right on time got my neo lights up in about 20 min old a great job.

The next day, the light was out again. He still charged us for the service, even though the “temporary fix” only lasted one day. He was also talking on his cell phone with a personal associate while he was in our home and I felt that it was a little unprofessional.

They were really nice and came out sooner than anyone else was willing to. They called ahead of time. He wasn't able to do it on the first attempt because it was raining, but he did say that he would check the weather and visit us first when it stop, which he did. I would use him again and recommend him to anybody.

Had a new refrigerator delivered and existing outlet "sparked" when the new appliance was plugged in. Geoffrey service was here within just a few minutes of our call and installed a new outlet. The gentleman was courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient. We would definitely recommend this company and will be happy to use the, again.

Rick called before my appointment to tell me he was on his way and ended up showing up early because traffic was light. He installed 3 cable jacks in my wall because the cable was coming up through the flooring. He also installed a new receptical for my new over the range microwave. I was having flooring installed the same day and Rick was great about having to work around the flooring guys.

The technician for Gioffre Electric arrived on time and started to work right away. He removed an older ceiling fan and replaced it with a new fan. The new fan was a floor model and the blades supplied did not fit with the fan housing. he removed the blade holders from the old fan and installed them on the new unit and completed the installation. The whole operation took about an hour and the fan works great. The technician was very proffesional and pleasant to work with. We have a very agressive-effectionate Yorkshire terrier and he made friends with him easily. The estimate by pphone was within $5 of the final cost and was less than half as much as a phone estimate from another company that was also on Angie's list. We are very satisfied with the work and would use this contractor again.
