The service person, Rick, arrived when he said he would. He was very friendly and quickly diagnosed the source of the problem. He also quickly made the necessary repairs and took the time to explain his work.

It took him a little while to figure out what exactly the problem was but he did figure it out and fixed the problem.

Called the number in the morning and explained our problem (sizzling sound, flickering lights, breaker was loose and would not reset properly). Gentleman on the phone said he knew what our problem was. Long story short, a few hours later a knowledgeable and friendly repairman came and fixed our problem. I was really pleasantly surprised with the price (I thought it would be much more for some reason). Great value, very responsive, very professional.

The electrician came at the appointed time and gave us a reasonable estimate, though not the cheapest of the three. We chose Gioffre because he suggested a less expensive alternative to the microwave overload problem. He called ahead and let us know exactly when to expect him on the date we set. He was very pleasant and professional, allowing me to ask questions and helping me understand how my electrical system works. We had four house fuses which were actually carrying 6 circuits, so he broke it all apart and corrected everything. He replaced the outside wiring from the drop line through the meter and into the new circuit box. He also put on a new meter box. He also made sure everything was properly grounded with the 8 foot rod he put in the ground., and he sealed the wire holes. He had to figure out how to run the single outlet box for the microwave through our heavy oak flooring, but now it works well. Our electric was off for about 3 hours during the switch over. Overall we were very pleased with his service and the price. He gave us the Angie's list discount without our asking. We give him a high recommendation.

Ric, the primary service man for Gioffre Electric arrived promply and checked the fixture. The ballast was burned our but he also determined that the fixture needed replaced. Despite a busy schedule he made the trip to the lighting store and acquired a replacement fixture. He returned to the house and installed the new fixture. The location of the fixture makes it difficult to get to. The light was back in service just in time for Thanksgiving. Thanks Ric.

I phoned the company and spoke with the owner about replacing some exhaust fans in my home and changing an electrical outlet. An Electrician came to check things out but I did not receive any reply until I called back a few days later. When I called the owner quoted an extremely high price with no details and refused to even discuss anything related to these costs and what had to be done that would justify it. The owners arrogant attitude made it more than clear that I need to find someone else.

Excellent experience. Electrician arrived later than expected, but called to let us know his first job was taking longer than he thought. Said it would take about 2 hours and he was correct. Cleaned up after himself. Pleasant to interact with. Would definitely use the company again.

I didn’t turn back on the cut off in my lighting. I was able to get help over the phone which I really appreciated.

I had a couple issues identified by a home inspection that I needed to get taken care of ASAP. I was able to get an estimate over the phone ($200) that sounded better than a few other places I had talked to. I scheduled the service for a few days later. I told them late afternoon if possible, and asked for a call 30 minutes before arrival. They called around 9:30 AM, but luckily I was able to leave work to meet the electrician at 10 AM. The electrician was professional and competent, and finished the work in short order. The actual cost ended up being $75 below the estimate and everything I can see looks good. My only complaint would be that they showed up in the morning instead of afternoon, but it's possible we just had a miscommunication over the phone. Given the quality of the work performed and the good price, I am willing to overlook a small scheduling mix-up. I would not hesitate to use them again.

Scheduling was easy -- one phone call that was answered immediately by the owner. The electrician arrived on time and was efficient and knowledgeable. He recommended keeping the existing light fixture since the only problem was the switch (which he fixed) and since the old ceramic-type fixtures are better quality than a new plastic one.

The electrician arrived right on time, and called first before he came, which is always helpful. We thought we had checked the fuse box for the problem in the dining room-evidentally we hadn't checked well enough! He checked it, and solved that problem. He easily put in a new cord/string to make the light in the basement usable again. He turned off the outlet in the damaged wall and put a blank cover on the outlet, explaining how to put it back together once we got the wall repaired. He used expertise and thought to put a new outlet near a kitchen counter, explaining why it wasn't possible to put it in various places, something other electricians hadn't done. He investigated putting it in an outside wall, above a backsplash and finally high on the back of the partial wall behind the counter. He encountered a problem with some old framing in the wall but continued to work and was able to add the outlet successfully. Now I can operated the mixer or toaster from that counter, and we can also access it more easily to use our laptops in the family room. The electrician was very personable, knowledgable and explained each process very well so I could understand it.

The electrician walked me through step by step tests to isolate the problem. After about 15 minutes on the phone with me, he helped me find several breakers and ground fault units that had been tripped by the flooding. After instructing me on what order to reset everything, all the problems disappeared. I think the fact that they took the time to help me over the phone for free was fabulous, and one more reason why I will continue to use this company.

I chose this vendor because the owner answered the phone the first time I called. In my book that is a great start. The owner was courteous and set up an appointment that fit my schedule. Scored one more point with me! The electrician Rick called me the day of the appointment to let me know he was on his way. He actually arrived before me (and I work only 5 minutes from my home). Awesome! He diagnosed and fixed the problem in les than an hour. He was professional, clearly qualified to do the work, and he was nice to me. A very positive experience. I have already recommended this vendor to others and we plan to use them again! A+.

Very responsive to my call. Was able to schedule me the same day. Very kind and willing to answer all of my questions. When changes to services required occurred, they were willing to work to finish the job.
