It went well. The electrician was very friendly and everything worked well when he was finished. However they ran out of outlet covers so I had to go purchase my own after the work was completed. Had the electrician took the time to bring all the necessary materials I would have rated them an A.

I contacted the company and they responded the very next day with a quote. It was 39% higher than another quote I received from a provider who had done work for me previously so we did not ask them to do the work. In future I would totally call Gioffre again to get a quote just based on their great responsiveness b

I bought a deal from Angie's List for three hours of service for $285. I wanted an electrician to replace 8 exterior light fixtures on the back of my house. We agreed that they would come "late morning/early afternoon" on Friday, October 3, 2014 to replace the fixtures. I asked the man on the phone if they would call first and he said yes, of course, they would. I took a vacation day today to get this work done. I have been here all day. I got an e-mail around 11:40 saying that they could not do the work. I called them immediately, He said that they had already been to my house, that the fixtures were concreted to the stone on the house and that they couldn't do the work. I told him they weren't replacing the front fixtures, only the back fixtures that could be replaced. He said he didn't have my phone number and had already sent the guy home and they weren't coming back. I argued with him that it was only 11:40 in the morning and they could still send the guy but he refused. He said it wasn't fair to the guy. I am outraged and appalled. I asked for my $285 back and he told me to take it up with Angie's List. He wasn't going to return it.

Rick called before he arrived. He was right on time. Rick was very pleasant and professional. Very pleased with all the work he did. I plan on having him come back to install new coach lights.

He was really good. He came in and did his job. It didn’t take him very long at all. He knew exactly what he was doing; he even had to put a new dimmer switch. He made very little mess, he was just amazing, and there were no electrical outlets there, so he had to put it all in. My husband was very impressed. The price was excellent and he gave us a discount for being an Angie’s List member. I wished I would give him an A+.

Called before he arrived. Very courteous, covered his shoes before entering home. very neat and organized Took 2 hours which he had estimated accurately. It was a lot of work but was done professionally will use their services for all other electrical needs.

They are very prompt. They came right away. They are very helpful. I was able to send text photos of what was wrong, so that they came prepared with the right replacement.

They came on short notice and did a great job. The price was reasonable. They technician that came was superb. He was smart and easy to talk to.

I had only partial power in my home, even though the breakers were ?on.? The electrician was on time and arrived at 4:30 PM. He checked and said the breakers were good. He wanted to know what all was not working. The electrician opened up a GFI outlet in a bathroom thinking that might be the problem. He failed to tell me when he put it back into the wall, he chipped and cracked the GFI cover plate. I realize this is not an expensive item, but I was disappointed he did not share this upfront. He said he was sorry he could not help me and there was no charge. Then he said it was 5 o?clock, there was too much stuff in the basement, basement ceiling tiles would have to be removed and he would have to trace everything. I asked him to check the ground outside before he left. When we were outside, he said, ?What ground? There is no ground. You live in an old house and most of these homes don?t have a ground.? I called AEP next to make sure the problem wasn?t outside; it was not. I called Jess Howard Electric. Their electrician found the problem posthaste as a loose connection in the junction box closest to the electric panel.

Very well. Rick called ahead, arrived in the stated window of time, and worked efficiently. He was very personable and easy going. I would not hesitate to call them again for future electrical needs.

I have used them several times and I am more impressed each time! Wonderful service done in a timely manner. Easy to get an appointment and very flexible not to mention very nice.

A guy from Joe's team cam out promptly to help me out. I had a variety of electrical issues to ask him about, but the primary issue was him installing a new lamp post in our front yard. It is working great and he had answers for each and every one of my questions. The price was a little steep -- $200 -- but I appreciated the professionalism and quick, quality work.

He came on time, actually ahead of time. He cleaned up after his work. He gave me two options with prices. I would call him again he was very good..

A bad storm knocked out power on our street and limbs from our tree + high winds took down our main residential power line. Joe answered the phone right away and he said he could get someone my way to look at it within a couple hours but wasn't sure they could do the work same day. Within an hour I had a call from his guy (Rick?) and he was on his way over. Once there he said he could go ahead and do the work and it would take about half an hour. He was able to do the work right then so we got it done within 2 hours of my initial call! The price was also very fair and reasonable. While there we found out that had we NOT gotten this work performed, AEP would have put us on a wait list and would have turned on everyone else's power EXCEPT ours until it was done. This was during very hot & humid summer days and we have an infant at home so temperature control is very urgent. Additionally, the electrician said that the previous installation had not used very strong securing hardware so he added a backer and better attachments to prevent this from happening so easily again in the future. I feel it's also important to note is that Joe Gioffre Electric was the ONLY company that answered the phone as soon as I called. Every other company I called (all also A rated companies on Angie's List) had voice mail ONLY and not a one returned the call until the following day. By then Joe Gioffre Electric had already completed the work. Had I used another vendor, we would have been without power for at least another 24-48 hours. In general the 2 people I was in contact with were extremely friendly, responsive, and professional. I will definitely be calling this company for future work. Thank you Joe and Rick!

AEP fixed the problem for the moment, so no service was actually performed

It went well. Ran a 15' piece of cooper to the gas meter to bond it. Was done in a jiffy. Thanks. Would use him again

Took half an hour, this was a small job that needed to be done promptly and they were able to work it in within 2 days of my call. They did not even charge me for labor, as it was a small job ($80 for service call & $15 for the part needed.) The electrician was very efficient, courteous and helpful answers to all my questions. I will use this company again.

The response to setting up the appointment was very quick. Came on time, finished quickly and very professional! I was very impressed. They had to come out a second time to install the ceiling lights in the master bath (because I needed to purchase them) and once again in and out! Joe and Rick you make an awesome team! Thank you.

The service was great and when they came in, actually had a great idea for moving my lighting in the basement which I love and is very practical. The estimate I received was exactly what they charged, were on time for service and explained everything that was being done and answered all of my questions. I will definitely use them again!

They did a FABULOUS job. The man that came out, worked for 4 hours straight. He only stopped once for a 5 minute break, came back in 3. The price was reasonable, the man that did the work was personable and the person who scheduled the service was too. They provided all the supplies and gave me a detailed print out. I am having them do other work in the future.

We needed the electricity to a hot tub cut off. I called Joe in the morning, and the job was finished the same day. I appreciated Joe Gioffre Electric's prompt, knowledgeable, and professional service.

I had them come out to give me an estimate on electrical service for a rental remodel. I needed all the outlets grounded, a new washer/dryer hookup, 2 outside boxes installed, a new overhead light installed in a bedroom, a lighted vanity replaced, and a half dozen recessed lights put in an unfinished ceiling. They came out immediately to do the estimate, and the man who came out was knowledgeable and honest. Then I waited. About a week went by and I got a call asking me to clarify one parameter of the work. Then I waited another week. Then made phone calls. And waited some more. And finally got a bid over the phone that was over $1500 more than the lowest of the two other estimates I received for the same work. By the time I actually got a figure out of them, I had pretty much already decided on someone else, but that price sealed the deal.

Mr Gioffre told me he might be able to send an electrician (Rick) out that same day in the afternoon.The electrician arrived and gave me an estimate to wire my new garage and gave me an estimate to do some electrical work in my house. Rick explained to me in detail what needed to be done to provide electricity to the garage, he also gave recommendations on electrical outlet placement in the garage and the type and number of lighting fixtures that would provide adequate lighting in the garage. The estimate was found to be very competitive along with time frame to complete all the work. I accepted the estimate and hired Joe V Gioffre Electric Company to do all the work. Rick was able to start the work that afternoon and Mr. Gioffre got clearance from building permit office of the city where I live to start digging the electrical conduit trench and lay the electrical conduit. Within one day Rick was able to wire the whole garage. The next day he run the electrical service wire from the main electrical service box in the house, fish it through the conduit to the electrical service box in the garage and install the lighting fixtures in the garage.In one days time Rick was able to install the ceiling fan electrical box, install a electrical service wire to the ceiling fan box, install the ceiling fan and install an electrical service outlet in the master bedroom. Rick had to order a new kitchen exhaust fan motor, once it came in he came back and installed the new motor installed in less than fifteen minutes. Joe V Gioffre Electrical Company performed a very professional electrical wiring service, the wiring work was neat and clean,the electrical work was very expeditious and the estimate was right on target at a very competitive price. The electrical inspector of the city where I live even commented on how neat and clean the wiring job was.

They did good work and we were very happy with the service. We've used them before and have always been impressed with them.
