It all went as expected, which was excellent. The guys doing the work were professional and respectful of our home, being very careful with walking in/out and making sure they didn't leave any mess anywhere. They really come through in standing by their work and product. Because of a strange defect in the original tub we had, they had trouble getting a good seal on the drain. They replaced the tub lining once then had to come back and ended up replacing everything, including the tub. This was all done with us (the customer) in mind. The guys that did the final replacement did it all in under a day and it's been perfect since. Even when it comes to mundane issues like caulking, they are there to help and even offer free silicon caulk so it is done right.

The installation was smooth and the quality and price of the windows were excellent. The crew that installed the new windows was professional, courteous and left no mess. They even wore shoe covers! The windows are beautiful, easy to clean and my energy bills decreased significantly so the windows will pay for themselves over time. Numerous large windows were installed in my historic home in one day. I couldn't be more pleased! I highly recommend this company!

DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY! We signed a contract on December 27th, 2017 with them for a remodel of our Master bathroom. It was supposed to be done in a week or less and we were told that it should be scheduled for mid-late February 2018. After that, we did not hear a word so we called them the beginning of March. The job began in mid-April and it is now August 4, 2018 and we have not had a usable shower in our Master bath since the job began. The worst part is that this company never contacts us. We keep having to call them to get any kind of update on the project. Multiple times we have been sent the wrong product or we have been told something was ordered or “expedited” that clearly was not even ordered. As of this point, we have talked to two “supervisors” and we still have NO idea when we will have a working shower!! Unbelievable! We have been beyond patient and reasonable but this is a level of incompetence and absolute disregard that we have never experienced in almost thirty years as home owners! We have now tried to reach the company owner who seems too busy to be bothered with us. We have paid the company 24k and this is what we have experienced. Starting to wonder if we need to talk to a lawyer. Again, do NOT hire them to do any job! We own a small business and would NEVER dream of treating a customer anyway near the way we have been treated by this company.

It was a fair price. They were so on time I couldn't believe it. You could set a clock by them.

Not only did the Door start rotting out 4 years after install but the poor installation caused water to get under the transom of the door and cause the floor joists to rot out also. I should have probably replaced it sooner, but I did not think that the rot was under the door into the home. Poor customer service, will not stand behind their work. Do not buy from this company.

I had 6 quotes for my bahtroom remodel. The most expensive quote other than this company was 12000. I had warned improve it when they called ME that I woujld not be making any decsions on the spot. They said fine. Brandon came out to visit me. we talked about what we wanted, picked out our colors, flooring, vanity ect. I got 6 different quotes for the same job and they were much cheaper using the same acrylic as the competitors. The shower is beautiful. Their employees were extremely efficient, conciensious and very personalble. the owner is Mike G. and he is a down to earth honest contractor, something hard to find. He also allowed me to buy my own vanity and toilet and installed them at an extremely reasonable labor cost as well. Whenever you get quotes for a bathroom, make sure you call him before making a decision.

One of the rooms wasn't level, so they did a lot of work to just get the windows in right and make sure that it was done up to the standard that I wanted them to. So they were constantly making sure that things were in place and the way that we wanted them. The sales person was a sales person, but the people doing the work were phenomenal. The windows have been great. They put a lot of pride into it and it was a very nice installation. I'm really happy with it.

These guys were hard to deal with where it came to communication. I'm still waiting for paperwork that I should have had in more than two months ago. Still nothing from them. And, if you change your mind after you sign the contract, you better move fast or there's no way out.

Not well. They came out and measured and looked at all the aspects of the job. We knew the existing gutters were poorly done and some soffet repair would have to be done. I was told they would call to schedule. After almost 3 weeks with no contact, I left 2 voice mails. After 2 days got a call back from a woman in the office who said the sales mgr would be in touch with me. The next day I contacted the salesman and told him I had the feeling that they didn't want to do this job. He replied quickly but feigned surprise that I hadn't been contacted. Said that he had been told I had been contacted and that, "your roof needs to be fixed before we can install." He apologized for me being in limbo for so long and said, "we will revisit in the future". I asked to have my deposit overnited back to me since they have now had it for a month. He agreed and said, "we were trying to find a way to get it done but our install dept refused the job. I thought sales mgr had talked to you. I'm personally sorry for your confusion. The deposit will be returned promptly." I found all of this very interesting because the roof is one of the few things on this house that was in good repair (installed 2014). Then in today's mail I received a form letter that said, "We have cancelled your contract with ImproveIt! Home Remodeling, a division of Ohio Energy Contractors, Inc." Letter goes on to say they are sorry they are "unable to install our product at this time". No explanation of any kind. So here I am on the verge of winter, having lost more than a month when I could have engaged someone else to do this much-needed job. And I am now unlikely to be able to get this done before the bad weather. My client who recommended this company to me had spent more than $15,000. I think ImproveIt! is not interested in jobs below a certain revenue level. I don't appreciate having my time wasted while they sat on an almost $2,000 deposit for a job they've known for several weeks they weren't going to do. To receive a form letter (which did include a check refunding my deposit) with no explanation is a lousy way to treat a client. Particularly one who has already recommended this product to several people. So despite the high quality of their product, I cannot recommend them.

they were fantastic. It was bitterly cold the day of install and we even told them they could return when it warmed up. They stayed with it and completed the install. the workers were very professional, timely, and respectful of our home. As for the quality, they work well. Their service has been good as well. We had a slice in the screen and a spot on the windows that was catching. We called them and they came out the very next day to fix them. I will definitely use them again.

Cleaned up well, did what they said they were going to do. Did everything very fast. Sales and workers have always been very nice.

Now that I'm reading other reviews on Angleslist, I see that my concern with this company isn't unique. After agreeing to a energy audit and evaluation of my existing windows. I was passed along to another man who was suppose to schedule the appointment. Because the co-owner wasn't available, I was told they couldn't schedule the appointment, "per the BBB guidelines" and by not adhering to these guidelines their BBB rating would affected. In my opinion, this statement is highly misleading and not factual. Unfortunately, this service provider is not concerned with their clients, but with their wallets. They're using high-pressure sales tactics that insist on both decision-makers being present upfront. The only time you need all decision-makers at the initial meeting is when you?re trying to do the old-fashioned one-day close, which I don?t think is in the interest of many clients. They shouldn't be treating it as a deal-breaking requirement and blaming the BBB for their own high-pressure sales tactics.

They are really good company. They might cost more, but they’re worth it. If the screens tear or break, they will come out and replace them for free. Any time there is anything wrong with my windows, all I have to do is call them and they come out and fix it right away for free. It's transferable to the new owners if I ever decide to sell. They did replace the patio door one time because I had a dog that scratched it so bad it couldn’t be cleaned.

I signed a contract with them in May for a new Bay Window. This process was supposed to be 6-10 weeks. They finally put the window in Oct. First time they put it in it was too small, so they duct taped my window. They then forced the window in. I had the owner come out and the manufacturer comes out and they claimed “It does fit.” The window is too small and don’t fit. The trim doesn’t match and they didn’t insulate it. There is gaping holes and they even caulked the outside of the window when it started to rain! I would not recommend this company!

It went pretty well. They came out when they said they were going to come out and they did a really good job. I liked the materials that they used. They used nice materials. All the finishes and everything were really nice. I thought it was a little bit overpriced but overall, he did what they said they were going to do when they said they were going to do it. I probably would use them in the future.

We decided to go through with it but two days later the motor died in my vehicle which is substantially setting us back. We cancelled the service and signed the appropriate paperwork within the proper timeframe. However, they will not leave us alone now and are threatening us with lawsuits! The more they badger us, the less we are impressed with them. It is very unprofessional to disregard our financial distress even though we followed policy.

Let me be upfront first by saying that we used ImprovIt because we were their grand prize winners from their booth at the Ohio State Fair in 2013 (yes, people really do win in those raffles!). So take that with a grain of salt in terms of their responsiveness and service. However, quality of work is still quality of work...either you have the skills or you don't so I still wanted to review them. Their office staff to schedule our appointment was very responsive and friendly. They sent two men out to do the job itself (remove seven windows and replace them with new product). The lead guy was very professional and knowledgeable. Explained things in detail even after the installation regarding how to work them, what to do if we had problems. Talked to us at our level, not down to us. The windows themselves have been in for six months, and we have had no issues. Seals were (and still are) good around the windows, no leakage, no condensation. The sound proofing difference is amazing. Not sure I can tell an energy difference yet. Removal and installation of all windows took one day. They did no damage to anything inside or outside and cleaned up after themselves when they were done. Really great experience. Again, maybe they brought their A-game since we had won, but the window installation itself is something we've been very pleased with and we would recommend them.

Excellent! They have been very accommodating, they answer all my calls, they answer all my questions, they have exceeded my expectations. The windows are wonderful.

I was annoyed to receive the calls. I felt slightly scammed since I had given them my information thinking it would only be a drawing and then ended up fielding phone calls for several years afterwards. I would not use them because of this experience.

We agreed on a date for each job and they were very much on time. They were very much on time and very professonel. And wwhen done you would never have known they were there .

I liked their merchandise and the product they had was nice, but it was a bit overpriced. However, it came out really nice and enhanced our bathroom.

They were timely and professional. They were unable to finish on Friday, so they came out on Saturday to complete the job.

The service worked fine. The cost was a deal that was offered off Angie's list.

They're a little higher that most people. If people are going by price, they probably wouldn't want to use them. The price is high, but you get what you pay for. I've been extremely happy with my windows, door and insulation. They came out to the house and measured everything. They don't have a store, they come to your house. The measurement was quick and speedy. The windows and doors came in pretty quickly. The installation was a breeze. They left no evidence that they were even here installing windows. I mean, that's how much they cleaned up.
