Bad experience. High pressure long winded sales presentation, in spite of repeated requests to present the facts and get to the bottom line.

We requested info which we have not received. A part was installed incorrectly, and it took a lot of negotiation to resolve it. Overall, it was ok service.

We rescheduled, they called to confirm the day before and day of. He arrived about 5-10 mins late. We thought he would give us a quote and go. Instead it was quite an involved sales presentation, about two hours, with pressure to give them business that night, to keep their workers busy. Not our problem! He got into a lot of personal financial questions, trying to work it so we'd finance with them. At least twice he mentioned he had 4 or 5 kids with one due any minute. And he said he demands respect and then he would respect us. After we invited him into our home! We declined to place an order. After that, he asked about our health and if we take vitamins. I think he wanted to sell a nutritional supplement! Finally he packed up and said he would leave one more piece of literature in the door. It was a religious tract! The appointment was for 7 P.M, he ended up not leaving till 9:30 P.M after we told him we had to call it a night. Only use them if you really want work done.

On the day I was to get my estimate, I received a call from one of their sales representatives. The representative confirmed the appointment and began to ask a series of questions about my home. The representative then began to try to get me to give him my social security number to see if I qualified for special financing. I found this to be pretty ridiculous considering, they hadn't even been to my home and I hadn't asked if they offered financing. The sales representative persisted and I continued to refuse. He finally ending the call when we can get your SS# when we arrive. Luckily, they did not show up when scheduled. I later received call saying they couldn't make it because the appointment before me had decided to buy their gutter product and asking me schedule another appointment. Needless to say I did not. I'd hate to think what could happen if these pressure sales tactics were used on an elderly person.

I have called 3-4 times and never been able to actually talk to anyone. I have left messages and never received a call back.

EVERYONE connected with Improveit, from the salesman who gave the presentation, the receptionist who was in constant contact with us almost everyday, the finance director, all supervisors and each specialized contract worker, and even the President of the company, were polite and professional and respected our privacy and wishes at all times. It seemed like we became one big, happy family. If anything needed adjusted or corrected, someone was there right away to correct the problem, but there weren't many. The work was outstanding. This company has done various work for us in the past and when they say ''Lifetime Guarantee'', they mean it! We are thrilled with our new sunroom and spend more time there, than we do our own living room. We are totally pleased with Improveit and their professional workmanship and will definitely call on them again, when we do more improvements to our home. We highly recommend this company. They are trustworthy and in general, just great people to work with.

Bad experience. Original plan was for a mudroom at $10,000. The company was not familiar with local zoning ordinances that resulted in an 18-month delay. The plans eventually had to be changed to make it a covered cement porch, but this was over a year after we had demolished the old deck (leaving our back door useless). There were many workmanship issues; the concrete had to be repoured due to cracks and uneveness, the columns for the roof hung over porch floor, the boards making up the columns were not straight and gaped in places, and other problems. We often had to call them for updates as we would go months without hearing from them. We are highly dissatisfied and would never recommend them to anyone.

The installer was on time and did a good job of installing the new windows. He cleaned up after himself pretty well. I answered all the question I asked him.

My suggestion is to set a time limit when you contact their sales staff and then make them leave when its up.

The sales pitch took close to two hours. I didn't even get to see their product until 45min. into the pitch. They have a nice looking, high quality product, but not very many options. They seemed to be inflexible to what I wanted in the room.

The sliding door was installed wrong and it leaked water on the floor. They came out within a couple of days and fixed it.

I entered a contest sponsored by this company to win free siding. Wade was sent to my house to provide an estimate for siding in the event I did not win the contest. I told him that I was planning to have the roof done and the siding only if I won. He spent over an hour talking about the roof and gave me an estimate of $7,880. He assured me that shingles could be used on the low-slope roof on my addition, but every other company has insisted on rubber because it is less than a 2/12 slope. The price was higher than other estimates I've received and there are several complaints on the List and there has been action against the company by the BBB. I will be going with a different contractor.

Excellence - sales, installation and service follow up were all amazing. We love our new system!

The next thing he said was that their salesman would meet with my wife and I on Thursday. I told him my wife would not be available and that the salesman could meet with me. At this point he said that my wife must be there for the presentation. I told him that I was handling this project. (My wife likes it better when I deal with salesmen.) He said they would not do a presentation unless my wife was present. I said this was an unreasonable requirement, but he said this is a company rule. I told him in that case I did not need his services and hung up the phone. A few days later he called back, and when my son answered the phone he requested to speak to my wife! She told him we were not interested! As far as I am concerned this is a totally inappropriate action on the part of any company!

This company specializes in acrylic bath and shower liners, but I was looking for a complete bathroom re-modeling, so I couldn't use them.

Price started at over $20K. After I said it was too expensive, the price dropped to around $16K. Still to expensive, called office, price dropped to $14,950 because I was a previous cust. I said no and he left after trying in vain to convince me I needed to buy. A couple days later a phone solicitor called and said that due to end of year convince that their company needed to meet, they wanted to send a supv back to give us an even better deal. We were told would be at cost. Supv came out remeasured the house and garage and ended up telling us that the price the first salesman gave us was their bottom line and was already at cost. He then tried to talk us into piecing the job out which would lock the price for two years. I felt deceived with this sale tactic and told him that I did not appreciate wasting another two hours for the same price. I like the gutters, but feel that they are way to expensive. I would consider them to do work in the future, just not this job - too expensive.

WE WERE VERY PLEASED. THEY DID A GOOD JOB AND CLEANED UP WELL.

IF YOU RUN INTO PROBLEMS THEY TAKE CARE OF IT.

THE ESTIMATE WAS FINE. THE REPRESENTATIVE WAS ON TIME.

THE SALESMAN DID A GREAT JOB OF TEACHING US ABOUT WINDOWS AND IT WAS EASY TO SEE THE QUALITY OF THE COMPANY'S PRODUCT. HOWEVER, THERE WAS A LOT OF PRESSURE TO SIGN A CONTRACT THAT NIGHT. THE INSTALLERS WERE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND KEPT THE WORK AREA VERY CLEAN. THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT HAS BEEN GREAT TO WORK WITH-WE HAD ONE PANE THAT BROKE IN TRANSPORT TO OUR HOUSE AND ONE THAT HAS BROKEN SINCE THE INSTALLATION AND WE'VE HAD GREAT FOLLOW-UP SO FAR. THE WINDOWS ARE GREAT QUALITY AND WE'VE ALREADY SEEN A SIGNIFICANT DECREASE IN OUR GAS BILL! AFTER OUR INITIAL ORDER OF 9 WINDOWS WE ENDED UP REPLACING 2 MORE IN OUR BABY'S ROOM AND WE COULD IMMEDIATELY FEEL THE TEMPERATURE DIFFERENCE AT NIGHT.

I MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR A SITE VISIT AND ESTIMATE FOR A ROOM ENCLOSURE. 1/2 HOUR AFTER THE ESTIMATOR WAS SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE I GOT A PHONE CALL INFORMING ME THAT THEY WERE ''RUNNING 2 1/2 HOURS LATE.'' I WAITED ALMOST TWO WEEKS AND RECEIVED NO CALL TO RESCHEDULE. I CALLED AND INITIATED A NEW APPOINTMENT. THIS TIME WHEN NO ONE SHOWED, I CALLED THE OFFICE TWICE AND WAS DISCONNECTED BOTH TIMES. ON A THIRD CALL I SPOKE WITH A DISPATCHER WHO SAID ''THEY WERE RUNNING LATE'' AND THAT IF I WAITED ANOTHER 2 1/2 HOURS THEY COULD HAVE SOMEONE OUT. THIS IS NOT THE WAY TO START A REMODELING PROJECT!!

TERRIBLE, EXPENSIVE AND I BELIEVE CONSISTENT WITH WHAT PRIOR COMPLAINTS TO THE BBB. ALSO, THEY COMMENTED SEVERAL TIMES THAT THEIR LAWYER HAD PRIOR CONNECTIONS WITH THE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND THE BBB SO THE ATTORNEY WOULD NEVER BE AFFILIATED WITH A COMPANY THAT DIDN'T HAVE A GOOD REPUTATION. THEY ALSO SAID THAT, IF I CHECKED THE BBB FOR MEIJER'S OR SAM'S CLUB, I WOULD FIND COMPLAINTS ON THEM. I FOUND THIS INAPPROPRIATE SINCE THEY HAVE APPROACHED ME THROUGH BOTH MEIJER'S AND SAM'S CLUB UNDER DIFFERENT NAMES. BOTH COMPANIES WERE LATE OR DIDN'T SHOW FOR APPOINTMENTS.

THE SALESMAN SAID THEY WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM IN INSTALLING THEIR GUTTERS DESPITE THE FACT THAT OUR HOUSE HAS A SLOPED FACIA BOARD. THEY AT FIRST WANTED ME TO PAY AN ADDITIONAL $3,000 OVER THE $4,600 PRICE QUOTED FOR THE GUTTERS TO BUILD OUT THE FACIA BOARD. THE BUILD UP THEY WERE TRYING TO HOLD ME TO WOULD CHANGE THE APPEARANCE OF THE HOUSE. IT TOOK MANY CALLS TO THE GENERAL MANAGER BEFORE I RECEIVED MY DEPOSIT BACK AND THEY VOIDED THE CONTRACT. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY AGAIN. I FEEL THAT THEY SPEND MUCH MORE TIME IN MARKETING THAN TAKING CARE OF THE CUSTOMER AFTER A CONTRACT IS SIGNED. I ALSO FEEL THAT THERE QUOTES WERE OVER PRICED.

I LOVE MY WINDOWS. THEY ARE MORE EXPENSIVE THAN SOME OTHER COMPANIES, BUT I DO THINK MINE LOOK BETTER THAN SOME IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD. THEY WERE VERY GOOD AT RETURNING TO MY HOUSE WHEN I WAS UNSURE ABOUT THE COLOR SO I COULD LOOK AT THE SAMPLES AGAIN. THE WORKMEN (AND ONE WOMAN) WERE VERY NICE, DID A NICE JOB AND CLEANED UP AFTER THEMSELVES. THERE WAS SOME PRESSURE FROM THE SALESMAN TO SIGN THAT DAY, BUT I FOUND OUT THAT ALL THE WINDOW COMPANIES DO THAT.

WHAT I WANTED WAS AN ESTIMATE, WHAT I GOT WAS AN EXTENDED SALES PITCH AND A HIGH PRICE (BARELY 70 LINEAR FEET ON MY SMALL HOUSE). THE AMOUNT THAT WAS LABOR AND THE AMOUNT THAT WAS MATERIALS WERE NOT CLEARLY DELINEATED.
