I purchased a door from Salesperson Leslie Biddle on 8/19/02. Since I had purchased windows previously from this company, I was familiar with their warranties and service. Leslie Biddle specifically told me that the door would be warranted just like my windows. She stated that any damage or problem would be taken care of at no charge like my windows. Up to this point, they had been responsive and lived up to their claims when window problems arose, so I did not question her statements. They came out and installed the door as contracted. Fast forward about 4 years. I noticed that the doorframe was beginning to rot out on the bottom. I called Improveit and spoke with several people about the repair, eventually ending up speaking with Mr. Seth Cammeyer, the head person at Improveit. After much discussion, I was told that the door itself was the only part that was warranted for life and the manufacturer would not cover the frame. He offered to replace the entire door for a charge, which was not, much less than the original contract. I explained to him that what I was told by his employee and all he could say was that she no longer works for the company He then sent me their new warranty brochure, which states that the frame and windows are only warranted for one year. At the time of my purchase, this was never given to me or I would not have purchased it from them. Later, I had a seal failure in the door’s window, called in and was told that the window was only warranted for one year. At the time I purchased this door, I made a mistake that many people make. I did not get the warranty in writing. I was going on previous experience with the company. Their offers to take care of the problem have been non-existent. All I can say about this company is to make sure you get everything in writing. I would not use this company again

It turned out very well. They did a good job.

They did a real good job. They are high, but they did a nice job. I have seen an improvement in my energy bill. They have a guaranty on their windows and screens. One of my screens came apart and they replaced that at no charge with no hassle. I was very impressed.

Previously submitted a report on this company regarding a failure to show up for an estimate. This is a follow-up report: Received a phone call from the owner of this co.the day after I submitted my report. After apologizing for the incident, and explaining that the fault lay with the missing employee (former employee), The owner offered to do the inspection himself. He showed up promptly at the appointed time, performed a brief energy audit and insulation inspection, and left an estimate. Explanations of product and scope of the work to be performed was presented in an informative and professional manner. I was left with a card of energy efficient light bulbs as consolation for my original experience. If we choose this company to do the job, I'll submit another report.

We later determined that the prices were very high and decided against this company.

The man that showed up was half an hour late which kinda concerned me at first. Once he got started, however, he was incredible. He finished each window in about 30-45 minutes per window which I thought was great. The windows are perfectly installed, level, and sealed. He even fixed a sagging soffet that I had that I didn't ask him to do and wasn't included in the work order. Overall, I am thrilled with improveit!

The installers were very helpful and efficient. They showed up and got right to work. They did a great job of getting the job done within a mere few hours.

I was very happy with their job. They do not sub-contract the work and all the windows produced at their facility. They came to my house and gave me information about them. I checked them and decided to hire them. They work around the year. Their prices are very reasonable.

They did a beautiful job and they were very pleasant to deal with and they really went out of their way for us. We've had them come out to do 4 small repairs since then and they always come out quickly to take care of everythingand they fix things right the first time. I would recommen them to anybody.

They did a fantastic job. They were in and out of here within 4 days. It was a pretty difficult job and they did a terrific job.

I liked the work they did. I liked the follow up they have. If anything goes wrong, they will come right out and fix it. I don't like the hounding sales people. I had them out for a roofing estimate and they were there for 6 hours or more. They are very high pressure.

They run under many different names. If I would have known this beforehand I would not have hired them. The sales people were pushy. When we tried to cancel, the sales person was gone and we ran into the three days to cancel and it got worse from there. The girl told us to call back if we had any questions. We could not get a hold of her. By the time I could get a hold of her it was too late to cancel.

After letting them know we would not need their service, they repeatedly called us. We have asked them not to, explained we had went with another company, etc. but they wouldn't stop until we become quite rude. BOTTOM LINE: I think they are out to cheat people, give customers a fair price the first time and you will earn my business.

They are going to be putting in a new storm door soon for me. They have a good service and I'd use them again.

We had some issues in communications with them and their people. The job got done and the work was good. The company just needs to pay more attention to what is going on.

They were very pushy and the next day I decided I was going to cancel the contract with the company. When I told the lady she said quote, "What's the matter? Did you get cold feet?" I would not consider using that company in the future.

They had the siding we wanted. They did a decent job of cleaning up. We did have some issues at the beginning. Had it not been for the quality of the siding we would not have used them.

They were very professional. They met with us, gave us an estimate, came back for measurements and told us what would happen. We met with them several times before the job began. Just before the job began we had to put the job on hold because of a medical emergency in our family. They came back 3 months later without a problem and started and completed the job. They did a great job and they'll come back once a year for a check up.

They said they would come and fix anything to our satisfaction. We would not use them again. We normally call around to verify if a company is reputable beforehand, we did not with this, and learned our lesson. Get all the info you can beforehand.

We had to leave the house to go to an appointment. When we came back he had me look at the floor to see if I liked it. I glanced at it quickly, and then he left. Later when I went to go look at the floor and put my rugs down again, I realized that he just put caulking around the toilet and wall area, as to appear that he had put a new floor in. My linoleum was also gone as well. When I contacted him about this he told me that he threw the access away. He took off with my money and my linoleum. I would not use them again and would not recommend this company to anyone.

The sales people where relentless, but once we were in contract it has been difficult to get a hold of anyone. The work took twice as long as they claimed it would. The installers where late both days and used our detached garage to stage their materials. They left all of the trash when they left and left our garage door up. Some of our property is missing. We have called the company to attempt to come to some sort of arrangement on this and as of yet have had no response from anyone at the company. The product looks good and the work seems to be good...but all the other hassles would make it difficult for us to recommend using them to anyone else.

I'm very pleased with product. They did an excellent job installing and they cleaned up after themselves. They also showed me other things that were wrong-rotting wood.
