Description of Work: I decided to contact 3 granite countertop suppliers through Angie's List that had the best reviews, Countertop Sales being the first of the three that I sent a message to. Before I had sent the message to the 3rd one, the owner of Countertop Sales, Phil Holbrook had already responded back to me, asking me to call him at my convenience. I called him immediately and he was at my house 2 hours later to measure. Wow, talk about speedy customer service! |I had already gotten an (over-priced) estimate from a kitchen designer at Home Depot for a granite countertop for my kitchen but they would not remove my old countertop or haul it away, and would not unhook my old sink or install a new one after my new granite countertop was installed. I would have to hire someone else to do that, so that would have been an additional expense and yet an additional company I would have to contact and hire. Phil Holbrook at Countertop Sales said they would be happy to take out and haul away my old countertop (for free), they would be happy to unhook my old sink and haul it away (for free), and they even GAVE me a new stainless steel sink for doing business with them and hooked it up for free as well! |Phil suggested I come into Countertop Sales to see what granite they had in stock, so I followed him back in my own car. Not only did they have the exact identical piece of granite (Venetian Ice) that I had priced at Home Depot (for hundreds of dollars more,) with that kind of savings, I could also afford to have a granite countertop installed in my guest bathroom as well (which he ended up giving me a new sink for as well) so I did. |In less than a week they came and made the templates for both countertops, and another week later, came and installed them. The three employees that did the installation were very professional, worked quickly and worked well together. They arrived 5 minutes earlier than the scheduled time frame that had been promised, got right to work and had the 2 granite jobs done, cleaned up after, and they pulled out of my driveway within 3 hours, taking my old countertops and sinks with them. I was thrilled with every aspect of my experience with Countertop Sales and would (and DO) highly recommend them to everyone I know. Not only do they have the best prices for granite, their customer service is outstanding.

Description of Work: Came in to CouinterTop sales in need of Granite in a hurry. Phil the owner came out and said he could take care of us. I then called after seeing a bathroom vanity I wanted that did not have a vanity top. They sold me a Granite vanity top and sink way cheaper then I could have purchased at the store. They installed both the same day & Phil came out to make sure everything was ok. Very Nice people and very nice company great price & great installation! Thank you

Description of Work: I am a person who is hard to please but Counter Top Sales went all out of Their way to show that they really cared about me as a customer and the quality of product that they put into our kitchen. We ordered quartz counter tops and Richard was the salesperson and installer. They did a beautiful job. Not only was I impressed by the workmanship, the workers made sure that the work area was neat and clean before they left. I would reccomend them to anyone who need a new countertop.

Description of Work: If you are interested in a countertop...do yourself a favor and make sure that you talk to Phil Holbrook, president and owner of Counter Top Sales. You will be glad that you did! We talked to and received a quote from six different countertop suppliers, including the two big box stores. Each was accommodating, but Phil really showed that he wanted our business. In my mind, the others were order-takers. Phil was a true salesman who knew his product and craft well. Pricewise, Phil was not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive. Our main countertop is U-shaped. Two auxiliary countertops comprised our total package. Phil spent approximately three hours at our home discussing various options and making the template for the countertops. He was the only supplier who would put a single splice in the exact location that we wanted. The others wanted to take the easy way out. Although laminate, Corian, quartz and granite are available, we selected "black galaxy" granite as our material of choice. Fabrication requires the joining of two, three hundred pound, each, pieces of granite to form the U-shape. This is very tricky, considering that they must match up precisely at two right angle walls and also to match up exactly at the splice joint. Phil and his fabrication and installation team did a perfect job. One of the most desirable things about Counter Top Sales is that Phil Holbrook is committed to quality. He personally makes sure that his stringent quality standards are met by inspecting each piece that is fabricated and he is present during the entire countertop installation. We elected to have Phil do the tear-out and installation of new appliances. This includes both plumbing and electrical connections. He installed a new dishwasher and new faucet, disposal and sink. The tear-out/haul away and install is, of course, at a fee. The advantage of allowing Phil to do this work is that Counter Top Sales is totally responsible for the entire job. The countertops (one U-shaped and two auxiliary) are beautiful. The craftsmanship in both the fabrication and installation processes is outstanding. We are very pleased that we selected Phil Holbrook at Counter Top Sales for our countertops.

Description of Work: I called for a price for quartz countertop, and Mr. Holbrook agreed to come and measure the next day. He arrived on time, and was very friendly and professional. He provided a very competitive price. He did not have the color we wanted, and we found that color elsewhere. His professionalism and responses were tremendous. Would strongly recommend him for countertops.

Description of Work: I saw this contractor at the fall home show. Got their card and called to set up appt for estimate on new countertops for kitchen and bath. Initial appt set for a Friday at 2:30 and I waited about 2 weeks to get the appt. The day of the appt at 1pm I received a call stating the person was canceling d/t death in the family. I questioned why I was notified 1 hour before the appt since I took work off for this, however, I did reschedule with the company and they didn't offer a reason for the late notice. The reschedule was for 11/7/08, about 3 weeks between appts. On 11/7/08 at 1:30 I got a call while driving home and it was the company canceling again, stating the employee had a death in the family. I told them, they might want to try using another excuse, as that is what they used weeks ago when they canceled short notice then. I told caller I wouldn't be rescheduling with their company, as they didn't value my time. It is poor customer service. If you can't keep Friday afternoon appts, then don't offer them. In this time of economic depression, I would think you would want business, but maybe it isn't a big enough job for your company.

Description of Work: They installed new granite countertops in the kitchen and replaced a built-in stove.

Description of Work: They came out and removed the old kitchen and bathroom countertops. While they were off they put in a new garbage disposal and a new island in the kitchen. They then replaced the countertops. In the bathroom the put in a new cabinet before replacing the countertops which were quartz.

Description of Work: Provided estimate and measured for template. Tore out old counters, replaced with quartz countertops (HanStone brand), replaced kitchen faucets, garbage disposal and undersink plumbing.

Description of Work: Counter Top Sales designed and built an L-Shaped laminate countertop for our basement wet bar. They had to integrate a floor to ceiling support pole into the countertop design.

Description of Work: Replaced existing kitchen countertops with HanStone quartz countertops, including undermount sink. Installed customer-supplied fixture. Removed existing backsplash tile, prepped wall for installation of new tile, and installed new backsplash tile. Installed customer-supplied undercabinet lighting. Installed customer-supplied slide-in range and microhood. The countertop fabrication and installation was very good. This work is performed by a different company; Countertop Sales is a sales rep for this company. The installers were courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient; only problem was the countertops as installed prevented my range from sliding in, but they fixed this. The tile work was a bit disappointing. The tile work is done by yet a different company that Countertop Sales represents, but required me to sign a separate contract. The tile installer was not neat, he left a mess at the end of the day, and some of the finer points of the installation were of mediocre quality.
