Grove Overhead Door

Very well. He explained everything he did. Had no idea that the door would not have automatically raised back up if there was something underneath the door to prevent it from closing. The light on the opener has been out for several years and with a quick fix, the light now works. Very courteous and professional. Called before coming out to the house.

Excellent responsiveness and service. Doug is an all-around good guy! I strongly recommend him and his company. He completed the job quickly and also cleaned up as if he had never been there.

Ordered garage door and opener from big box company I wanted. Grove picked up at store and brought out to install. Installation went well. Done in about 4 hours. Two weeks after installation pulley wheel on opener broke. Grove came back out and replaced, saying if it happened again to call manufacturer, it might be a defect. Two months later pulley broke again. Discussed with manufacturer rep. Received two new pulley wheels no charge from manufacturer a few days later. Examined opener according to manufacturer instructions using manual as guide, and found main rail from opener to front of garage was installed upside down! Followed manufacturers' instructions and removed cable and rail myself and re-installed correctly with new wheel and proper adjustments. No further problems in last five months. Bottom line, great job on installing garage door, not so much on opener. Would use them again, but only for garage door.

Returned from vacation to a garage door that wouldn't open. Let this be a lesson... ALWAYS CARRY A KEY TO ANOTHER DOOR!!! When I finally got into the garage, found that the torsion spring was broken. Since I had previously used Grove Overhead Door (Angie's List roller replacement and door adjustment deal last year) with great results, I called them. Was told they could be here that day. Note that this was a Friday at around noon. Doug Grove called about 45 minutes later, was on his way. Doug arrived, confirmed the problem, replaced the spring, lubricated and adjusted the door hardware. I really felt sorry for Doug. He's no small man... and had to work in a closed garage with 2 cars still in it, and not much room to move around. But trooper that he is, he overcame the obstacles. Total time from initial call to completion was about 3 hours at most. I really appreciated the fast service. I would DEFINITELY recommend Grove Overhead Door to anyone and everyone. If I could rate them higher than "A", I would. How about "A" to infinity?

He came on time, told me what he was going to do and did that. He talked to me afterwards about what he did and the condition of my springs and other factors. He door was running quieter and smoother when he finished. Great job!

Called ahead, came on time. He was responsive to my concerns about garage door opener not working. When I explained the conditions he identified the broken wire immediately. He was good to work with and explained what he was going to do.

He called me on Tuesday morning and I called him back and it just so happened that he was going to be down the street literally doing a job so he came out after he had just been with that customer to see me and get my work. It was really quick. He said that it always does not work out that way. He gave me an overall of what he thought I needed and I agreed with him, He actually came back the next day because he was doing the work for the other person the same time of thing so he came out that afternoon and he was going to be a little bit later than he thought so he called me and let me know. It was no problem and he came over and he did everything. I thought he did a great job. It just looked like he was really good at what he does. He was great. I did not feel at anytime like he was trying to sell me stuff I didn't need. He could have said all you need is replace your whole garage door and all that kind of stuff and he didn't. He recommended a fix for it that was good. He replaced the bracketing when he put my new garage door opener up that was a better quality. He said that was something that he likes to do.

He was prompt, efficient and orderly. He finished in less than 1 hr and garage door is running smoothly and nicely.

There were no additional charges and everything turned out great. I would use them again in the future.

They did very good. They completed the job in one day. They stand by their word. They did what they promised. The were efficientand on time. I have no complaints.

It worked out fine. I did have an additional cost and he discounted it by the Angie's List discount. He quoted me $250 and took of $50 and charged me $200. I did a little research and that was on the high end of the average for that type of job with the discount. It wasn’t bad service and it was above average. It was good job and I haven’t had any trouble since. He was in and out and it was a professional job.

Repairs were very well done! I am very pleased! Repairman was friendly, professional & courteous, and went right to work -- diagnosed the problem as to why door was stuck partially open, crooked & off he track. He told me what had to be done. Told me basic cost for the diagnostic visit & cost for repairs which I thought was very reasonable.

On time - actually early for the appointment. Doug was friendly and professional. He checked all the parts and installed new rollers. The garage door is nice and quiet now. The job was done efficiently and timely. Also got a new garage door opener. If I have garage door problems, I will call Grove.

We were having problems closing our Craftsman garage door opener. It would get near the bottom, then it would stop and go back up as if it had hit an obstruction. The technician replaced the cheap plastic rollers with metal ones and explained that the plastic ones were worn out. He explained that the worn out rollers increased the resistance on the drive chain and that was causing the garage door to think that it had hit an obstruction. He also cleaned and greased the chain, etc. A hassle free and professional experience. Would highly recommend.

Work was completed promptly.

It went very well. The serviceman was punctual, professional. Reset my garage door opener and remotes to clear out old codes since I had a problem of the door found open a few times. Showed me how to do it myself in the future.

This was an Angie's List Big Deal purchase. I ordered on Friday. On Monday, I received an email through the Angie's List website from Doug Grove... asking that I contact him to set the appointment. I called and we set the appointment for Tuesday afternoon. Doug called to say he was on his way, and arrived within the appointment window. He went right to work: inspected all components, replaced the rollers, made all necessary adjustments. It was all very quick and efficient. He wrapped up in less than 30 minutes. I would definitely consider hiring Grove Overhead Door again, and would recommend the company to family and friends

The owner (Doug Grove) came out and replaced the spring on one of my garage doors. He noticed that some of the hardware was missing and that the arm that connects to the door was pulling free so he installed some steel angle brackets to the door and attached the arm to the brackets. He also showed me that the rollers had worn out so he replaced those as well. The doors both run smoothly and quietly now. The work took probably 60-90 minutes and was reasonably priced. I am very satisfied and would go with Grove again.

He did an excellent job. He even helped me sync my new car to the garage door system.

Was prompt and professional. He quoted me a price to install an insulated garage door, if I decided I wanted one in the future.
