Tom Greene is extremely knowledgeable and I was impressed with him and his family-owned business from our initial meeting. During our first meeting, Tom took the time to educate me on the Greene Solution?s process and the importance insulation plays in the home. He took a thorough energy assessment of our home and provided me with several helpful suggestions to remedy our current issues. He left a detailed quote that outlined every aspect of the work that was to be performed. On the day we scheduled the work to be done, Tom?s work crew was on time and politely introduced themselves before starting the process. Tom?s attention to detail to each area of the job was impeccable. He continually checked in on each step of the process to make sure the job was done properly, and throughout the day Tom would ask both me and my husband if the work being done met our approval. Tom also scheduled Wolfe Air Duct Cleaning Company to clean the vents throughout the house. Ryan performed the air duct cleaning and I was equally impressed with his competence and outstanding personal service. Over the last few years, we have had several contractors in our home to do various work, and Greene Solutions and Wolfe Air Duct Cleaning tops our list. Both companies offer professional, courteous and conscientious young men.

I don't know how it could have gone better. They did what they said they would do, in the time they said they would do it at the price they quoted, and it worked. Seems like a good deal to me!

I'm using all of that experience as a reference point when I tell you that this guy was first class all the way. In a world of bogus "inspectors", I was delighted with this guys technical breadth and depth. All of his comments were spot on. He was friendly and thorough. This is a class act- a true professional in the building trade. Trust me, they are hard to find!

As a new homeowner, I was extremely pleased that I contacted Greene Solutions to perform this audit. Prior to the scheduled date of the audit, I had to reschedule twice due to taking possession and personal reasons. Rescheduling was very easy and Greene Solutions was accommodating and made no fuss about working with my schedule. On the day of the audit, the Greene Solutions team was on-time and dressed very professionally. Before the audit began, Thomas and Rick indicated that they smelled a slight gas leak on the exterior of my home. After some investigation, they were able to find the leak (to my outdoor gas lamp) and turn off the supply. I was impressed that they went out of their way to ensure my home was safe and actually fixed the problem not just suggest that I have someone come look at it. After fixing the gas leak, they proceeded to conduct the energy audit. While performing the work, they were very knowledge and took the time to educate me about my home. They showed me specific areas where I had leaks and discussed what they would recommend to remediate the problem. Greene Solutions also provided all new light bulbs as part of the AEP program and discussed the benefits and process of upgrading my old appliances. After the inspection, I received a report detailing all of the items discussed during the assessment and an overview of services they offer to help my home be more energy efficient. Not only was the report very professional and easy to read, they provided specific information to my home and calculated my expected energy saving and rate of return on my investment should I decided to proceed with their suggestions. Based on my experience with Greene Solutions and the expected savings they calculated for me by adding insulation, I will definitely use them to help my 1973 home be more energy efficient!

They were very thorough and comprehensive in their analysis. They understood budget limitations and worked with us on a reasonable plan to save the most energy for a reasonable price. Their attention to detail and clear enthusiasm for their profession was appreciated. Highly recommended.

My husband and I were very, very happy with them. We have 1800 square feet of crawl space in our house. They were very professional and they did a very good job and they worked straight through. One of the things that impressed me the most is that I was concerned about my asthma with respect to some of the stuff that they had used and everything worked out fine. Next morning the foam they used to apply was gone but they called and checked that on my house and I thought that was particularly kind of them.

They were terrific. He walked through my entire house and was here for about two hours, which was really great. They are definitely the Cadillac of insulation. They don't skip anything and I was really pleased with everything he did. Now it's just the matter of deciding if I could afford the Cadillac. The day they were scheduled to come out we had to call 911 for my mother to send her to the hospital. They actually came 30 minutes North and ended up turning around and going back, but they were so sweet about it. I felt bad because they're in Columbus, Ohio and we're in Marion. I thought the guy was going to be furious because he was halfway here and had to turnaround, but he came back. He gave me the full service without any extra charge or anything and I really appreciated that. He was phenomenal. I thought his price was high, but not high for what he's giving us. He provides absolutely a Cadillac service.

They arrived on time and ready to work. I could not ask for a better crew. They were super nice, friendly and fun to be around. Some contract orders just do the work, this company went above and beyond. They found a very serious leak in our furnace pipe, half of the pipe was not connected to the outside (bank job) and Greene Solutions did a temp fix. When that was pointed out we rushed and had that repaired. Since we had no insulation in the attic, raccoons destroyed the old insulation-had 3 years to do so, we removed and cleaned the entire attic. Our A/C ran all the time as did the furnace last winter. After the insulation we have noticed a huge improvement in the comfort of our house. I have a sewing/craft room I could not use because it was too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. I kept the door closed because of the huge temp difference it was from the rest of the house. After the insulation I walked into that room and wow! what a difference. It was so cool and comfortable. My husband walked into the room and could not believe the change. The pre blower door test showed we had major air leaks from the base of the chimney (we have an interior chimney), the basement, doors and windows. After the insulation of the basement and attic the post blower door test showed we were so tight that after we seal the windows and doors we will need to install a fan system to exchange air. We are enjoying the even temp our house now has and the fact our A/C is not running all the time. You ask why did it take us so long to insulate? We had lights to install and it was easier to have it done without insulation. We are very happy with the quality of work, the crew - high five guys - good job of cleaning up, great vent installers for the roof, filling out the rebate paperwork and going the extra mile even though they didn't have to. They didn't work like they had to do another job this big on the same day but took their time and did quality work. Father and son are a good working team and mom keeps the base strong and steady. They explained everything they were doing and why. I found them easy to talk with and to ask questions about everything they were doing. I would recommend Greene Solutions for quality of work, reasonable price, nice people to work with and being a good family owned company.

It worked out fine. I thought he was very professional, I liked him a lot, we ultimately decided not to go ahead and have the installation done but I thought his whole house energy audit was very helpful. He was very prompt, very professional and very nice.

They were pleasant and friendly while doing the work. Removing the old solid insulation was a lot of work, but they got it done pretty quickly. They were thorough in their clean-up. Before this was done, the upstairs was always noticeably warmer than the first floor in the summer, and cooler than the first floor in the winter. We often had to have the first floor cooler than it needed to in the winter so that it would be cool enough to sleep upstairs. Now there is little difference in the temperature between floors.

The guy was very professional in what he did and in what he was doing. He was able to point out some issued in the house for me.

Tom, the surveyor, did an excellent job. He looked the house over thoroughly and made a number of recommendation. He also prioritized them in regard to energy and cost savings.

This is a combined review of a $75 Big Deal inspection and thermal scan and $1350 worth of work completed as a result of that inspection. The scan was carried out by Rick Greene. He arrived as scheduled and used a thermal scanner to identify some locations where insulation was insufficient, also identifying areas where previous work had tightened things up. He allowed me to use the scanner (cool) to inspect areas I found of particular interest. After the scan, he identified areas that needed work, explaining the advantages clearly and without condescension. Based on his recommendations, I elected to have additional insulation blown into my attic, my attic hatch weatherized, weather stripping installed on a door, and some gaps in existing insulation filled by his company. I had actually previously determined that the attic needed more insulation, but the gaps had not been apparent and would not have been fixed without the inspection. The work team arrived as scheduled, set up to do their work, and did it with minimal disruption to my household. Clean-up after the work was completed was excellent. Ladders were left in place so that I could easily inspect the work done, and removed only once I indicated satisfaction. In the course of the work, ducting was provided at no additional charge for a recently installed bathroom exhaust fan which had not been properly attached to ducting. While the work was underway, Rick conducted an AEP energy audit with me (a tip ? if you have such an audit scheduled, wait to replace incandescent bulbs with CFLs ? you will receive free CFLs in exchange for your incandescent bulbs ? unfortunately, I had already undertaken to replace things, and only had one left to exchange). Overall, this was one of the most enjoyable experiences I have had with home improvement projects.

Thomas Greene came to do our audit. He was very helpful and provided useful energy saving ideas.. This service was paid for but we will be reimbursed our money with the AEP rebate. He does good work..

The first visit was the energy audit (purchased as a "Big Deal"). Thomas came out and spent >1 hour walking through the house with the thermal camera showing me where there were leaks etc. Very friendly and knowledgable. Then he wrote up quotes for what he considered the "most urgent" things to do -- attic insulation, etc. He wrote up the quote in 3 parts so if we didn't want to go with the whole thing we could easily pick what we were comfortable with. He offered us additional discounts (beyond the $500 off that came with the "Big Deal") if we decided to do all 3 things, but we didn't feel pressured at all (and at no time did he say we had to decide on the spot, he encouraged us to think it over). We took a few days to think it over and decided to do it all and called a few days later to schedule a day for the work to be done. Thomas came back when scheduled with a big crew of 6 people (!) because the job was pretty big, he had estimated it would take all day and it did. They did everything as quoted, the whole crew was very courteous. They did a blower door test so we could see the before and after the work was done. I would highly recommend Greene Solutions.

We talked about a few things. I was happy with it. It confirmed that I didn't need to get my walls fixed.

First I used my Angie's List Coupon for the Energy Audit. I knew I had insulation issues. Mr. Greene showed up when he said he would. He was very professional and had me follow him around as he scanned my home for energy leaks. On the whole, my house looked like I thought it would - it needed attic insulation. The walls weren't bad and there were some issues with where the basement meets the house. He gave me a quote on the attic insulation which was in line with other companies I had contacted. With the additional money off with the coupon, I gave him the go-ahead and a deposit. I few days later, I arranged a date for the work to be done. Mr. Greene and his assistant arrived on time and proceeded to get set up. Every step was explained to me. As my attic access was in the garage, I hardly knew they were there (except for the occasional noise from the ceiling as they moved around). When finished, they offered the ladder for me to climb up and inspect the job. I declined due to knee issues, so he went up and took pictures with his cell phone. After they finished, every tiny little scrap of insulation was swept/vacuumed up so that you didn't know they were there. I agreed to have a sign placed on my lawn and it is still there. I highly recommend this company.

The company rep was professional courteous, and upfront. Liked his approach and if we were planning on staying in the house long term, we probably would have pursued his recommendations for improving the efficiency of the house

My partner and I bought our house about a year ago. Like many first time home buyers we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. Our realtor did a great job of holding our hand and making sure we got all of the basics done. One thing that he never suggested was an energy audit. After hearing a lot of buzz about these audits, we wanted to know just how much money we were throwing away! Wanting to find the best place to spend our dollars, we of course turned to Angie?s List and Google. A few minutes later we submitted some inquiries via the web and email. The very first response we received was from Greene Solutions and it came in early the next day. I?m a huge fan of promptness because EVERYONE?S time is valuable in today?s market. I spent a few minutes on the phone with Thomas Greene who explained some things about the audit process and how the pricing structure was setup. I liked what I heard and he was able to set us up for an appointment on the FIRST day that I gave him as an option. On the day of my appointment Thomas arrived early and was ready to start the job. He introduced himself and sat down with me for a few minutes to review what we had agreed on over the phone. We discussed how the next four hours was going to play out and then got started right away. From the beginning he was very professional and shared a great depth of knowledge on all things involved in home auditing. In our discussions during the walkthrough of the house I found out that he not only does a lot of inspections but he is the owner of Greene Solutions. I found it reassuring to know that I wasn?t going to be another face lost in the crowd because he has the largest stake in making sure he does a great job and I?m happy with the results. I won?t go in to every single detail of the inspection but I can say that I was blown away by how complete and thorough of a job he did. I will point out a few highlights that impressed me though: · We have an extremely long gas line that twists and turns, running from the meter outside our garage to the furnace in the crawl space under the house. I mentioned that I smell a little bit of gas on occasion and he pulled out a gas sniffing device. He ran a tiny tube over every inch of that piping from the meter to the furnace so that he would not miss a single leak. · While checking our furnace, he discovered that we have an unusual venting system set up that runs through a series of turning pipes instead of straight up and out like normal. He was extremely concerned by this setup and was very vocal about the fact that this could be a potential source for Carbon Monoxide leakage. He mentioned it several times during the inspection and even went back and did an additional backdraft test to make sure that the amount of Carbon Monoxide that could potentially leak into the house was well within safety limits. The test showed a small about of CO that was above normal but not dangerous. Even with this result though he was still adamant we should get the venting looked at and probably replaced by a licensed plumber. I was astonished by his findings but even more so by his diligence for our safety. I was a little shocked that he was the first to mention this issue because we not only had a home inspector check our place before we purchased it, but we have had two licensed HVAC representatives service our AC and furnace since moving in. · One of the most concrete things that he did was the blower door test. He basically hooked up a large fan to one of our doors and turned it on with all other windows and doors in the house shut. What this did was allow him to figure out where air was leaking into and potentially out of our house. I was particularly interested in this because every little bit that comes in or leaves has a direct effect on our heating and cooling costs. We spent quite a long time with the fan running and we walked from room to room feeling where air was being pulled into the house. It was an eye opening experience to feel the air sucking right through the holes and cracks that we never knew existed. · The last thing that impressed me was that about two weeks after his audit, he came back to our house and sat down with us to review the final results. He brought a full color, 15 page, bound booklet that contained everything he had found and recommendations for how to resolve the issues. He had minute details listed such as going to a DIY store and getting some outlet covers up to complete dollar quotes for some of the larger jobs that he recommended us having done. It was great to know that he not only had recommendations for us to improve our efficiency but also referrals to different vendors to complete them. Having all of that information at your fingertips takes a lot of the guess work out of things. I know that this is a long winded review but trust me when I set that this is quite a short explanation of everything that Thomas did for us. I could probably go on and on in detail but I really just wanted to convey to you the key points which he did for us and how spectacular of a job he did. He really instilled a lot of trust in us with what he did for us and I would recommend him to anyone!

The Greene Solutions crew (of 3) spent the majority of the day in my home. They brought in their equipment and supplies and performed the job as specified in our contract. I had already cleared items away from the basement walls for ease of access. The crew was courteous, informative and thorough. They also cleaned up the areas at the end of the day.

Rick Greene came to my house from advise from his father after his father stopped by to check services we had received last year. I still wanted the crawl space taken care of. He was very nice and said he would be by with his crew after I had accepted his estimate.They showed up when they were supposed to and he came with his team and introduced everyone. They were very careful to keep the house clean while they did their work. Rick even took care of other places in the basement that he found to be leaking air. Throuroly efficient, above and beyond. My husband was shocked to see how warm the crawl space is now. He too was very satisfied.

The overall result of this survey was exactly what we had expected. We were extremely glad we participated.

Everything went well. We have done some of his suggestions so far.
