+ -1 moreResponse was good specially considering it was a weekend. The first technician was respectful and a nice gentleman, however, he did not/could not identify and fix the problem. The second tech got the problem fixed. Again, he was polite and seemed to know what he was doing.
Description of Work: The AC stopped working on the day (Saturday) we were to have guests. Made call for urgent service at around noon. The tech arrived t 4:00 pm. He looked around and cranked up the AC and it appeared to be working. I insisted that it is not cooling, however, he was convinced that everything was fine. After a few minutes of him convincing me, I agreed that it was working and it may very well be working since I could feel the cool air. Anyways, an hour later, we realized that it had stopped working. Suffered through the evening and night without AC and called the company again in the morning. A different tech came that afternoon (Sunday) afternoon and determined the capacitor that runs the fan was blown. He replaced it and AC started working properly. Since this a repeat call, they did not charge us for the second visit.

+ -1 moreIt was excellent. They came when they said they would (the same day). They got the part and came back the next day. They were fast. Two other companies looked at it and came up with different things as the problem saying I should replace the whole heater.

+ -1 moreHe was on time, tried to do everything in a cost effective but good way and did well at explaining everything and letting me watch exactly what he was doing.
Description of Work: Checked air conditioning on the inside and the unit on the patio. Made sure all was well. Also cleaned the burners and tried to fix a shabbily made filter keeper. Had to resort to calling in a sales person to see what needs to be done to get an efficient and easy to use filter. He told me about the yearly service plan of $208.00 which includes spring and fall maintenance, immediate help if something should go wrong, no service fee for the year and pay nothing except for parts. By joining that plan I have already saved money since my call of one and a half hours would have cost almost $208.00

+ -1 moreMy air conditioning went out during the hottest week of the year. When it was determined that I needed a new compressor, I decided to replace the existing unit. The salesman for the company came out the same day. He worked around my work schedule. He was very polite and knowledgeable. He was able to get the new system installed two days later, despite the fact that they were very busy. The technician who installed the system was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. He arrived promptly on time. He was very neat and did an excellent job installing the system. I would not hesitate to use this company again.

+ -1 moreA sales person came out and gave me a quote of $2700 for a Carrier unit with a 5'' filtering system. It was actually the same price as another company's quote, but Favret came to install it the next day. The techs arrived on time, installed the unit appropriately (using my existing coolant line, clean welds, etc.), and cleaned up after themselves. Another gentleman came over to test the installation, and even locked up my house after he left (I was at work).
Description of Work: Installed a new 10 SEER 2.5 ton A/C.

+ -1 moreThis was quite possibly one of the worst experiences I have ever had with a company/technician in my own home.
Description of Work: The appointment was scheduled for 6/20/06 for three reasons: annual AC inspection, estimate on relocating the outside unit from back of house to side yard, and service in regard to some of the return vents which were not pulling air out of the upstairs rooms. When the technician arrived, he was extremely rude and wanted no part of providing either an estimate for relocating the unit OR for addressing the problem with the vents upstairs. I have NEVER dealt with such a rude individual inside my own home in my entire life. It was evident that he didn t care whether or not my issues were addressed and was going to make no effort to help resolve them. Unfortunately, the 1000 word limit prevents me from sharing all the gory details, but bottom line, of the 3 requests I made, 2 of them remain unsolved!

+ -1 moreOur AC was not cooling very well, so we called Favret to check it out. Someone came out the next day. He checked the furnace and AC, then let us know that there were two filters in our furnace when we only needed one. They both needed cleaning. He cleaned the furnace filters and cleaned out the AC for us. He told us to clean the furnace filters once a month and the AC filters a couple times during the summer. That would help keep the air cooler.

Description of Work: Our air conditioner stopped working on Memorial Day. We called Favret since we have their maintenance plan. Bill came from Favret about 2 pm and told us the A/C need a new connector. He scrapped the old one so it would make contact and we had cool air rest of day. He came the next day with the new part and replaced it.

Description of Work: The furnace was blowing cold air. The lady came out and didn't know what the problem was, so they had to call somebody else out. The furnace is older, and the main valve that gives heat to my house was out, and they put a new one in.
