Favret Heating & Cooling

I called on Monday and got an appointment for Thursday. The woman on the phone told me about the website coupon for $40 off the $99 service. Gentleman called before arriving within the designated 4 hour time period, stayed less than 30 minutes and showed us all of the pieces and parts we need to know about our furnace. Very friendly and helpful! All for only $59. Awesome!

Great! Furnace had not been serviced for 8 years, so it was quite a mess. Technician very efficient and cleaned up well. Told me about a coupon on line and waited while I retrieved and printed it to get $40 off the price. Very happy. Will use again.

I used Favret once before for annual inspection/maintenance for my A/C. Excellent service and response. I left a message for the office on a Saturday, and I got a callback very early Monday morning. Very impressed. They showed up when they said they would show up. The service guy they sent out was pleasant, quick, efficient and got the job done. Will hire again.

It is great. They always clean up after themselves. They test everything when they do the heater even vents for carbon monoxide. They clean all the vents. They are always courteous.

I think that they were prompt, professional and clean and I would recommend them.

After waiting most the morning, it went well. The scheduled appointment was a time range (between 9am & 11am). At 5 'til 11, the office called to say he was on route & would be there in less than 5 mins. Mike was pleasant, clean, courteous, efficient & knowledgeable. My gas furnace is over 30 years old. He didn't replace my filters because they were fairly clean. He suggested the T couple should be replaced soon, explained what function it performs, what would happen when it wore out, & how much extra it would cost to replace & gave me the option of just having him clean it & consider replacing it next year. He also showed me my furnace wasn't regulating temperature properly, instead of the thermostat doing it, the heat of the furnace would shut off the blower not good! He adjusted the furnace so it wouldn't get so hot (as older ones do). He asked if I had a carbon monoxide detector in the house & explained its importance as well.

The salesperson was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain exactly what was required. They listened to my requirements and provided quotes for multiple options. They utilized the 'rule of thumb' when initially sizing (I did not ask for a more definitive approach), however, this was in line with other contractor quotes. The price was competitive, but I decided to support a local business.

I have an annual contract and they contact me promptly each season to schedule to check-up. The service men are nice and conscientious. They have helped keep an old furnace going strong. This visit they also did a thorough cleaning of the furnace.

Jim arrived when expected, but seemed rushed and spent approximately 20 minutes at my home. He provided two Carrier brochures. He indicated he would email a proposal to me the next morning. Six days later, I have not received the proposal nor a follow-up phone call. Favret may be sad to learn that I contracted with another top Angie's List heating & a/c company for a super high efficiency furnace, heat pump and air purifier system. The other companies that I received proposals from spent at least one hour educating me on the latest technology and throughly understanding my requirements. They also provided a written quotation during the initial in home meeting. I am surprised that I would have this response from a top rated company with so many positive reports!

Was able to schedule on a Saturday! Technician arrived on time, put on booties, answered all my questions. A good experience.

The salesman was very thorough. The installer was a great guy and did nice and neat professional work. Talking with the dispatch was a little unpleasant. I talked to several employees on the phone, and they sounded put-out but responded in a timely manner. The service man knew what to do.

I've used Favret in the past but may consider before future use. I had mixed reviews this time. Technician, Chuck, was punctual, polite and wore cloth booties to keep my floors clean. However, he apparently stripped the set nut on the gas pressure valve and said it would cost about $200 to replace/repair. He said he was trying to check "heat rise" and this happened due to age of furnace. He offered to test CO2/air free that he previously said would cost $21. This effectively accomplished the same test. During cleaning there was a fair amount of dust released into the air in my laundry room where my office is also located. I covered up my desk and computer as best I could after I began to see dust flowing. Chuck did his best to explain everything but without knowing much about furnaces it's hard for me to know if these events are routine consequences. Chuck was very informative on other matters and gave me good advice about my hail damaged car. I appreciated the extra input.

Their service is very good. They are timely and at a reasonable rate. They are trustworthy.

When the salesman showed up he didn't ask what our needs were, he just went into a sales pitch on the package they offer. We just needed the furnaces checked out, not replaced. One of the furnaces has a permanent filter that can be washed and he offered to wash it for me, but just squirted it with the hose for about 10 seconds and charged me for cleaning it, and really didn't even do a very good job. I also asked him to check the house for carbon monoxide and he walked around one half of the house (through two rooms) and charged me $20 for doing so without even checking the rest of the house. He reset all of the furnaces to check the heat and it was left as he set it and was coming on at odd hours when the heat didn't even need to be on.

They are very knowledgeable and professional. They always take the time to explain things and they do a good job.

Technician Jim was friendly and knowledgeable. The price was great, and I feel comfortable with the work. I will have this company continue to do the maintenance.

The technician was punctual, counteous,discussed the operation of the boiler system and gave me suggestions as to the adjustment of heat in various room. I was very pleased with his efficiency and knowledge.

I've worked with quite a few of the FAVRET folks now, as they've done their six-month maintenance and cleaning on my heating and air conditioning. They have always been prompt, thorough, and very helpful and friendly. I always learn something new about the HVAC system, just from what they show me and tell me about, while they keep everything working smoothly. Great company, I highly recommend them!

Very quick, same day service! Came when promissed and the price was reasonable. Favret will be my first stop for furnace - A/C service again.

We called many companies on Angie's List A list, and they were all very prompt in coming out. The pricing we got from the various companies were all very much clustered together just about the same. We ended up picking Favret, and they did a good job with the installation. It was very clean.

We had a leak in the coil in the furnace, and decided to install an air cleaner and humidifier at the same time. Paul was great about listening to what I wanted and not trying to over sell. He matched my needs for a top of the line air cleaner but didn't push top of the line humidifier. On the day of the installation, the installer noted the job was more than a one person one day job. He was able to request help from another person, and between them they were able to finish in one day. The job required a service call to complete the air conditioner repair, and that was even able to be completed that same evening.

They do an excellent job. I never have any problem. They are responsive, prompt, clean, and friendly.

Jim was prompt and friendly. He explained everything he was doing as he went along. He even went the extra mile and cleaned out the condensation drain.

Ive got flexible tubing installed that they couldnt clean. I appreciate them checking everything out and telling me that they couldnt do the work and for recommending another company to go with.
