Favret Heating & Cooling

Two men came in and over a period of four hours cleaned the ducts. They did a great job. My proof for this is that the next day my allergy symptoms diminished significantly. I could feel that the air was cleaner. My wife ad I would recommend Favret to anyone needing to clean their duct system.

They came out the same day that we called. They came during the time period they'd promised, and called us a half-hour ahead of time so I could drive home from work and meet them. He quickly identified the problem and showed me the evidence, explaining what happened. He called and got the price for the part, gave me an estimate for the total. I agreed to it, and he ordered the part and said they'd call me when he got the part, probably in a couple of hours. At that time we met him again and he installed it very quickly. The final cost was less than his estimate because he worked so quickly that the labor cost was lower.

The first time we'd turned on the A/C unit this summer (during a heat spell), the unit seemed to be working but not cooling our house. The people at Favret were great on the phone and had someone out the next morning, even though we were in the middle of a heat wave and they must have been inundated with calls. The serviceman immediately discovered that the cap was loose and we probably hadn't had any coolant since buying the house last summer. He also located a corroded patch on the coils. The process did take awhile, but I knew their costs ahead of time and I appreciated his taking time to answer all my questions & go over my options. I also think he charged me for slightly less time than he was actually here. In any case, it was cost-effective to simply replace the old unit, and they applied the cost of the service call ($92) as a down payment. They also gave me an Angie's List discount, which was helpful.

They came out the same day I called and were well within the time frame quoted. The service person was polite and professional worked quickly and gave me advice on future service needs to keep the unit running smoothly.

One of the Faveret brothers stopped by on his way home from work to give me a part for my furnace. One of their repairman, had worked on my furnace all day to make sure it would work & I really appreciated it. I think the fact the one of the owners of the company, stopped by to make sure my furnace was running properly is a testament to their good work.

Favret removed and replaced the old furnace and air conditioning units and replaced them with a new Carrier heat pump and associated heating. Everything was done with incredible speed and precision. Having been used to using Favret for my heating/cooling needs for many years, I was not surprised that they did an excellent job, but this was especially well managed. The cleanup was, as usual, exemplary!

Found out the oil smell was coming from the exhaust from the water heater. Felt very confident with the person that came out and was surprised that I was able to get someone to come out the next day.

Very detailed bid; knowledgeable technician; work performed well. The person who was to have re-started the system forgot but the company quickly resolved when we called to say it was not working.

Initially we had the AC installed July 16. And everything went great and smooth. 2 weeks later the AC broke, because we got a defective unit from the factory. Favret was very responsive to our problem. They took out the new broken AC and installed a newer working AC within 2 hours. Great Great company to use!

I have rated this company before and used before. As before, they are on time and professional. I had not been clear on wanting both heat and ac checked, the maintenance rep took it in stride and checked both. Did a bit more than required on the ac which I appreciated.

The firm was very responsive. Their sales rep was able to meet with me just two or three days after my initial call. The installation was scheduled about two weeks after I called to confirm the sale. The installer, Chris, did a great job. In particular, he relocated the compressor, which is considerably larger that our old unit, in a less visually intrusive location, even though this required him to cut into a slope in back of our house. He also took care to orient the air handler so that we can remove the filter media easily, which had been a problem with our old system. The technician, who checked the installation and started the system after the installer left, did a good job explaining the basics of the system operation and programming of the thermostat.

I was surprised by the cost, but the tech was very professional, pointing out problems that had existed since the unit was installed. It now works better than ever.

It was very very good. They really cleaned up after themselves. The area that they had to work in was very small. It works wonderfully and I am happy with it.

They didn't have the part and the guy had to go get it and come back. Nice guy but I must have misunderstood when he told me it would run about $60.00. Evidently, that was just the price for the part. I suppose I should have asked what the total would be because I was struggling to keep from showing my shock when he told me to make out the check for $249. He said $249 was actually "pretty good." Still, I've been surviving on limited funds while recovering from a car crash and money's been unusually tight (Everybody get insurance. I'm not kidding). Nonetheless, there's a big difference between $60 and $250 so I recommend you be certain of the total estimate before proceeding so you don't wind up in an ambulance. At any rate, the repair guy told me the part likely blew because the outer grill needed cleaning. After the repair I noticed my inside temperature was 2 degrees higher than the temperature I'd set. I cleaned the grill and that issue was resolved. Good advice.

They were about 20 min. late as I waited around for the quite guy to show. The installer was a bit late as well.

I have a maintenance agreement with them. My A/C went out on a Sunday night and I called the company. They came out on Monday but couldn't replace the unit until late on Tuesday which was all a miscommunication. The company installed the new unit on Tuesday and had it running by 5:00. They did a nice job.

Job 1: Very well, the technician Kenny was friendly, professional, and courteous. He checked the air conditioner and completed all tasks in a timely manner. Job 2: The technician was professional, friendly and quick. I called on the day the air conditioner quit working and they offered to come out that day.

I called Tuesday. Favret said they'd come between 8 am & noon Friday. After 8:30, I saw their truck in front of my house. I approached it. The driver said he was busy doing "paperwork" and would be in later. Later, he came in, asked what the problem was, said he already knew after I'd told him, looked at the furnace, and at 9:07 said he had to go get a large pipe wrench and would "only" charge me 1/2 hour for the trip. At 9:52 and at 10:27, I saw the truck again, but assumed the tech was busy with "paperwork" and didn't disturb him. Then I happened to see my answering machine blinking with a message whose only intelligible bits were Favret's name and phone number. I called back, played the message, and asked what it meant. After being hung up on once or twice, I got to talk with an apologetic woman who said the tech had gone to another job. At 12:13, I saw the truck again. After only 8 minutes' "paperwork", the tech came to my door. He claimed he'd knocked before leaving that morning.

The salesman who came was very accurate and explained things well. The installer did a great job with both the air conditioner and the furnace. He cleaned up well and was very personable. They are a very professional company.

When they were here they also told me ways to help me save on my heating and cooling bills. The service man Steve was extremely friendly and knowledgeable.

Power went out and back on but AC never came back on. They came out and fixed it. Also, called back for duct cleaning. Checked the whole house and they said we didn't need it and did not charge us for the call. Very professional. I can't say anything bad about Favret.

Although we had some small problems with communication midway through the completion of the installation, Paul Williams, salesman, and the owner, Mark Favret, quickly solved our concerns. Overall, we were very happy with the job. Everyone was polite and professional. Since our home is older and we have a finished basement, we had some interesting problems to be worked out. They worked with us to do it to our satisfaction.
