Favret Heating & Cooling

My AC went out last night and I called Favret this morning at 7:30 am. They were at my house by 10:30 am to fix the unit. Mark was our tech. He opened the unit up and replaced a part and was on his way. He didn't try to up-sell me or replace my old A/C. He was extremely efficient and my AC has never worked better. I can't compliment them enough, I would recommend them to anyone!

We have been satisfied with their service, and have not had any issues at all. All of our units are older so we got a yearly service plan. The apartments plan is $203. It covers both the air conditioner and service check, and if you have any emergencies or anything, it puts you high up on the list. I feel like the price is good, but I really have not checked other prices. I'm satisfied with their service, it doesn't seem bad. The quality of work is good. They just did the work and it's no hassle to deal with them, they come when you need them.

Someone needs to call Favret Heating & Cooling that a homeless person stole one of their vans, came to my house, and tried to service my AC unit. Dear God. What a bad experience. I knew they were charging me by the hour, and boy did they try and milk me for every minute. I sat there in the basement and watched this guy work. For 15 minutes he was laying on his back just looking around. I swear he feel asleep. He then attempted to make small talk with me, and as he did ... he stopped working. I'm glad I was paying him to chit chat. Turns out, even though I asked before I called, if they worked on my type of AC unit, they weren't certified on it, and declined to quote me a price or make firm recommendations on repairs. Once he was done, he walked back to his van to fill out the paperwork. I paid for 10 minutes of him "writing" as I saw he added it to my bill. I made a mistake on their hourly rate (admittedly) so I questioned it, but the service person was extremely rude about it. After calling the home office to get confirmation that I was wrong, I went ahead and paid him. Once he got his money ... he just turned around and left. No, "Thank you for your business," or anything. Favret ... Customer Service goes a long way. Tell your employees to tuck in their shirts (or at least button them up) and a "Thank You" can go a long way. Until then, you have lost my business forever.

?I don?t have air conditioning, it?s just heating.?It?s basic just service, they come out and check everything out.They are just excellent. I think I had a different technician. I have boiler, so there are only certain people that can service it and that?s why I stick with Favret. There are very few guys even at Favret that can service my furnace. It?s hot water heat, I don?t have forced air, I have radiators, so that?s why. I have a boiler that?s attached to my furnace, which heats the water that circulates through the house. They take care of that. Not all heating and air cooling people have anybody that is capable of doing it. That?s why I stick with Favret, I like the guys, they?re good. There are usually only about two or three guys within Favret that know what they are doing, that come out and look at it. It doesn?t change much.

I have a service contract with them and I have them come out every year.They are so good, they are just excellent. I have a service contract, so there was no charge. They?re very good, and very thorough. They?re punctual, they make an appointment and they call you when they are on their way. The guy that comes out and does it is just very friendly, helpful, and good. There is nothing that they need to improve on. The quality is excellent. I will use them again, every year.?

I have had them for a number of years and I have no complaints about them. They show up on time and they are professional.

I use them every fall and spring. I pay once a year and it's like $200 or $220 a year something like that. I think their price will be comparable to anyone else. They put my furnace and they have serviced it ever since and I will use them again. The workers are very professional. I usually have the same guy.

We have a maintenance package with them at several properties, they come a couple times a year. We've used them for 10-12 years.

They fixed the problem but they messed up their numbers and ordered the incorrect size and it actually broke my furnace or actually caused it to stop functioning. The work took a couple hours.

Fine. They charge after first 30 minutes, took 1 hr.

The price is fairly competitive. They are very responsive.

They came out at 10 o'clock at night. House was about 50 degrees. Tech was here for an hour and a half or two. They came out when we needed them most. We bought our furnace at the condo from them. We have a contract with them. Routine maintenance calls are covered. If any emergencies, they are half price. You can always reach them no matter what.

They're really big in Columbus. We brought our furnace at our condo which we still own from them, which we still own. We have a contact worked out with them if we need anything you pay them 50 or 100 and any routine maintenance calls are covered. Any emergencies are half priced.They came out when we needed them the most. It was valuable. They're pretty reputable. They have a lot of service techs and you can always reach them when you want.

I buy their service agreement every year. I've always been very, very pleased. They go out and clean everything out. They play with the thermostat and make sure it's working. They make sure I'm in good shape for the summer months. Just one person comes out to check over the unit. All the workers are good, nice and polite. They leave the area very clean. It's nice because if they don't hear from me, they call me to remind me it's time for my service.

I've always been very pleased with them until this time. I had a new guy I hadn't seen before. He had me very perplexed as he told me I had a crack in my element and that I could be getting my carbon monoxide in my house. And I said, well wouldn't my detector have went off. And he said, well, I'm just telling you. My buddies did that and his kids got really sick and blah, blah, blah. So I went to work and kept thinking about it, so I called the gas company here in Columbus and they take that kind of thing very serious and they came out immediately and everyone had to be out the house. He was there in five minutes. So he just jumped in a truck and came over. He stayed there until I came home and told me I didn't have anything to worry about. That I didn't have any type of carbon monoxide in their. Another HVAC person came out as well and didn't understand why I had them come out. So I called Favret back and told them exactly what happened. He was very nice and listened to everything and said he was going to take money off my next year's service agreement.

Have used Favret for twenty years at my two residences. Used them to replace the entire A/C system (2 compressors) at a cost of $7,000. Had a blower motor fail on one of the furnaces, and had it replaced. Cost for motor was $450, and labor another $450 for about $900. Also found the real problem was the induction motor on the furnace. Was told the part was about $300 plus about an hour of labor. The next day was told the part is $715. So I went online, researched the part number, called a national parts supplier, and was told a price of $236. In addition, the blower motor I was charged $450 for was only $108. These are OEM original parts. I called and they had put proposals together for a new furnace at a cost of about $2800. I was urged by everyone I spoke with to do so. I declined and talked to John the service manager, who said they needed a 3-4 times markup to stay in business, plus labor at $180 per hour. I tried to make my case for having them keep me as a customer, and he told me that I only spent $7,000 at my new address, and they would not make any concessions. I severed my relationship with Favret, and they can go pound sand. I think the game is that they overcharge for parts and labor to get you to buy a new furnace. Bad Business Practice. I think these parts markups are appalling. I hope others read this.

It went very well, I like using the company. I have a service contact with them, so I do like using them.

We've been in this house for 13 years. They're very professional. They're very careful. They put booties over their shoes so they don't track snow or dirt into my house. They call when they're on their way to make sure you're home. That works out well.

They were right on time. They did what I asked. Price was the same as I've mentioned. My interaction with them was fine. The work was absolutely what we needed. They could have lowered their price.

I only pay for the filter if they change it. They're fine. I continue to use them.

I have a service contract. Their service people are fully qualified and they do a thorough job. They always call and I set up the time. They have been in business for over a hundred years in Columbus. They have been doing the annual check ups for at least 5 years. Their price is comparable to all the other companies out there. That's the only heating and cooling company I would use in Columbus. I had a friend whose an older lady and they put the furnace in for her and I was impressed with their professionalism that's why I continue to use them because when they put the unit in, they had an installer come out and put the new air conditioner and furnace, and they had another guy come out and he troubleshoots everything. I had a company once before and they only had 2 people and they couldn't wait to get out of my house after they put the new furnace and air conditioner in and they did shoddy work and gave me a shoddy thermostat. I had prior experience with Favret and I would recommend them very highly.

We had another HVAC company advise that we needed to replace the bearing assembly and water circulation motor which would cost around $1,400. Favret's service tech, who was very experienced working on boiler systems, was able to repair the bearing assembly without replacing any parts. We were very satisfied with the service and plan on using Favret in the future.

We got a fair deal from them. I would give them an "A" for everything! They come when they say they are going to come, they do thorough job and they kept my old furnace working for 8 years. The workers are fine, they are good.

We pay them an annual fee for a Fall checkup, a Spring checkup, priority service in case of an emergency & parts discount. It runs about $250 a year. I have used them for 8 years. I would grade tham a "A" on everything!
