Having called several HVAC companies about replacing the coil after Atlas Butler quoted a ridiculous amount, Jim Chesebrough at Favret was the only person to suggest that the coil might be covered under the manufacturer's warranty as it was less than five years old. (The Atlas-Butler warranty had run out after only one year.) He took the model and serial numbers and called me back in a few days to confirm that the coil was indeed covered and he'd only charge me the labor to install it. I was ecstatic. He had to order the part, which took about a week, but that allowed me to schedule an AM install time. The installation went smoothly and the tech was friendly and courteous. Several days later, however, I noticed the house was still not getting very cool. I called back and had an inspection scheduled the next day. It turned out the coil with which the manufacturer had honored the warranty was defective (imagine that!). But Favret has a 90-day warranty on labor too, so I was able to schedule another coil replacement at no charge. The A/C has been working wonderfully ever since. Thank you Favret for going out of your way to turn what could have been a $1,200 repair into a much more manageable $450 fix!

Great! Very thorough and on time. Great customer service. He checked out everything and offered a service plan. Did not overbill. Very pleased. We are grateful our old furnace can keep on going strong!

Mr. Mills showed up promptly with a professional, affable attitude. He asked to see my thermostat, which I directed him to, and then he asked to see the furnace. He asked if I'd seen water or any frost around furnace. I said that I hadn't. Then he asked to see the unit, which was located outside on the rear end of my home. He found the problem and fixed it in a half hour, saving me money and while keeping my family cool. Thank you!

I was very impressed with this service as I know nothing about AC and he could have sold me a bill of goods. Instead, he suggested I utilize the yearly contract they have for Spring and Fall service which is $310. The visit to fix my AC costed me nothing as it was considered my Spring Service call! I wass very happy to contract with a company that I feel i can truly trust!

Our A/C was not working at the start of the 2009 cooling season. I called Favret who installed the system several years ago. They were very prompt in sending someone out to check the system. They first determined that there was no refrigerant in the system which indicated to them that there was a leak in the line. After a using a sniffer to find the leak, they determined that the evaporator coil had a leak. That was the bad news. The GOOD news was that it was covered by warranty. The evaporator coil that was in the system was no longer being made but they located a replacement that fit. They had it replaced within two days, including the time it took to locate and install the new condensor. All the personnel that were involved (the repaiman who initally came out and came back when the new coil was put in to charge the system, the installers and the officer personnel) were well aware of our situation and very professional and attentive to resoving our problem. Favret was aware that the system was under warranty and had the service call flagged as a warranty repair. It cost us absolutely nothing to resolve our A/C problem.

Excellent. The repairman looked everything over. Suggested a change in filters. Filled the unit with Freon. Warned us due to age, the unit may need replacing at anytime. Very friendly and helpful with ideas and education.

Called about binding noise from HCA blower fan on 5/19. Made appointment for next day between the hours of 12-4P. Repair person arrived at 12:30.Found what was wrong with fan immediately. Gave estimate of repair. Replaced motor in a little over an hour. Technician checked on the use of Angie's list 10% off coupon which turned out to be good, other wise would have paid more than the estimate. Technician was very professional and was good with my barking, wanting attention dogs.

They were very thorough and not pushy at all. They didn't do unnecessary work. They didn't charge us as much as we had originally expected, which is always appreciated.

Replaced old air conditioning equipment with high efficiency air conditioner. Work was performed in a single day. Before leaving, they made sure that everything was working properly.

Firstly as a single woman that always tends to get ripped off with repairs I was pleasantly surprised with the level of service from Favret. I heard from my tenants that my A/C unit was not working and was expecting the worst!!! I did some research online that night to read about what might be the cause, so that I could sound somewhat knowledgable and hopefully not get ripped off when the service guy arrived. I was therefore hoping that it was either the fan belt or the capacitor. Herb arrived the day after I called Favret. Very punctual and friendly. Before I even had time to wow him with my (just learned) knoweldge of AC units he prompty said "it looks like the capacitor". I was relieved! He sadly didn't have the type I needed on his truck but said that if he could come back and install it the next day he wouldn't charge me another call out rate - just the $109 for the first 30mins from that day. I agreed and with the Angie's List voucher I had, I paid him the $109 (- the 10%) for that day and then just $45 for the actual capacitor the following day.... All is working and I am very happy!! The serviceman arrived on the scheduled day, on time (w/in a 2 hour window), and serviced furnce as requested. The company called a few times to set up an appt., but because of other things going on, wasn't able to schedule an appt. til late in the season. When service person arrived the first thing they did was put on booties to keep our floor clean - which I always appreciate. Then he serviced the furnace, as planned. Other than to tell me how we might get better service from our furnace, and show me what we'd been doing right, and what we could improve, there really wasn't anything else he had to do. He did encourage us to have a stock of replacement filters on hand, which we did, and has made me much more reliable in replacing the filters when neccessary.

They made extra special efforts to get our job done as quickly as possible due to the health problems we have. Dustin (the technician that fixed the minor problems) spent 3 or 4 hours resolving all the issues. He cleared up all of our questions on the new thermostat. He stayed to make sure everything worked out. They were great - absolutely pleasant on the phone and in person. Dustin was very professional and caught small mistakes on the new equipment. We have had no trouble with the new unit and the house is now cool! Everything is working well, knock on wood! Favret is in outstanding in every way!

They showed up right on time and had the job finished by the end of the day. The system has worked flawlessly since.

They do a good job and we've been please with their service. We have an annual contract with them.

They are efficient and confident in their service. They are friendly and punctual. They seem to have good pricing. They had a salesman come in and tell me about everything. He also told me about the government program for home owners with efficient heating and air. The new furnace has a computerize thermostat, so they had tech come out and show me how to use it. They were on time and a few times they were early, so be ready.

They came out for an estimate, and he showed me what was wrong. He told me I had asbestos, but told me that I could remove it myself. That made me question them, because that is a very dangerous thing to suggest for someone who doesn't know how to take the proper precautions. It left a bad taste in mouth, and I opted to not use them. It seems very unsafe to be suggesting this to people.

The installlation went very well. I was concerned as to where the inlet and outlets pipes would come out and not be noticeable in our patio area. The technician and I talked of a number of possibilities and we finally decided to run the pipes up the chimney. This worked very well. During the final checkout with the technician at the new thermostat, I mentioned that I thought that the new thermostat would have a reading of the outside temperature. He mentioned that I didn't have the proper wire going to the compressor outside. But he offered to come back the next day and install the sensor somewhere else, which he did. I was impressed that he offered to do this. He also gave me his cell phone number if I have any questions abouot programming the new thermostat.

They had a good price and did a good job. Pleasant to work with and didn't try to over sell or try to charge for more work.

The installers showed up on time and introduced themselves. They were very courteous and answered all my questions. They told me a lot about there company and this system I purchased. After they installed the unit (approx 4hrs) they told me service will come out to start the new Heat Pump. I asked why and was told as a second set of eyes, flush and top off the Puron and to make sure the pressures were right in the system. A couple of hours later the service guy showed up and checked over the system and started the system up. He then went over my system and my new thermostat. He answered all my questions and was very knowledgeable. I have always been impressed with Favret and after this trip my confidence was renewed. The surprising part is 95% of this company have been there for multi generations - I was even told that a couple of years ago there were even 3 generations working side by side. I admire the family atmosphere this company has.

It took four days to complete this job. There were always at least two workers present here everyday. They arrived promptly, took short lunch breaks and worked throughout the afternoon. These men were clean, performed excellent craftsmanship, and did not hesitate to explain to us what they were doing when we asked. We had had a new hot water heater installed by Home Depot and the Favret men moved it to a new location and found where some work with the connecting of this heat was not completed according to specs. They re-did all of the plumbing with no added expense. They cleaned up all materials and took away our old furnace, the stand the furnace was cemented to and the air conditioner.

They show up, do the work, and it's good. I am quite pleased with them.
