Favret Heating & Cooling

We?ve replaced both our heater and air conditioning with them and we?ve been very pleased with them.

We used them just to have our furnace cleaned out at our old house.

Excellent service--Mike, the technician, promised to return on the following day to have a look at the humidifier (not an emergency issue) and replace the water panel. But he was thoroughly booked on Monday; still, he came today, just before noon, cleaned the water panel frame, installed the new panel, tested the entire operation.

They were fabulous. They were courteous and professional and they came in as planned. I was happy with them and would definitely use them again.

My furnace shut off and would not start back up again - a family friend came over to help me out with a diagnosis and recommended Favret (he recently went through furnace issues) as well as telling me the company was on Angie's List. I called Favret after hours and left a message as well as submitting a customer repair form online. I received a call promptly at 730am when the company opened for business and talked to Kristin, who was very nice and assured me she would send someone out first thing after their daily paperwork was completed. She also said she would give me the $25 off of servicing coupon on their website (which I didn't know about, and she could have certainly not told me about it). Technician arrived at 830am and spent a total of 45 minutes to troubleshoot, remove the dead bird, inspect the interior workings of the furnace for the routine servicing, clean out the interior, and answer some general questions I had about the filter, air ducts, and furnace maintenance. He was very helpful and pleasant to work with, and used those plastic booties over his shoes when coming in from outside since it's snowy/wet outside. I will definitely use this company again. I don't know how their price compares to others since I am a first-time homebuyer, but everything else went so smoothly that price is a secondary concern to me. Rates quoted to me on the phone today - $113 for the first half hour and then $34 for each quarter hour after that.

A representative from Favret came out and disclosed the game to me around 8-10 years. They have been honest and reliable since then. The other company told me that it was dangerous to use my furnace. It needed to be shut down and replaced. I called for favret and hey said it was baloney. Favret repaired it for me. I trust them from that visit. They gained my trust. Trust is more important to me than the money. If I have to replace the furnace then I might get several bids but I would seriously consider Favret as they disclosed the fraud to me 10 years ago. They have gained my trust and they have been consistently satisfactory since then. So I don?t have any reason to switch.

I continue to have excellent experiences with this company! My furnace quit working intermittently over the Thanksgiving weekend. By the time I realized I had a problem, it was 11:30 a.m. on a Saturday. I called the company, and there was a repairman at the house by 3:00 p.m. He examined the furnace, and heard what the problem was, and concluded that it was most likely a broken thermostat. I happened to have a new thermostat at home that had not yet been installed. The worker installed the new thermostat, resulting in just a charge for 1/2 hour of labor. The worker went above and beyond the call of duty, because while he was in the basement he also showed me how to turn down the flow of water going through the humidifier, to save on my water bill (which has been high, especially in winter). I have had other emergencies where I have called this company and they have come out promptly and solved the problem. When I go to buy a new furnace, this is the company I will buy from.

They check the furnaces every year just to make sure they are working. We have been using them for many years. They do the routine maintenance like cleaning. I told my wife that there was no need to do that every year but she gets it done. She probably thinks it is better to be safe than sorry. They have been responsive. We had a problem recently. They came right out. They were very good and very cooperative. We have had no problems. They do a good job. The price is reasonable. The guys seem to be knowledgeable. If they don?t have a part, they will come back the next day with the part and put it in. We are their regular customers. They give us a time. They call us before hand and are here when they say they are going to be here. The professionalism varies with the people but generally it is good.

They were on-time, prompt and very nice. They were also very professional. I felt that their prices were better than a lot of companies and we got top of the line heating & cooling system. We didn't need the A/C right away so we paid half of the money and got the heating system. When the season came we purchased the A/C. So, I didn't have to pay the entire amount at once which made it easier for us to pay because we pay cash.

We have a hard time finding someone to work on an old gravity furnace. We called Favret. The worker they sent knew what he was looking for, and even with two trips to the warehouse for unusual parts and a total of 3 hours, our furnace is working perfectly.

They were professional, responsive and punctual. There were a couple of things that had to be adjusted and they took care of it right away. The quality of their work was good and I was satisfied with their service.

Salesman did a survey and pitch in less than an hour. He followed up at just the right times and closed the deal. We bought an energy efficient system to get tax credit. Installer was very nice and professional. He (they) clearly knew what they were doing - like both pressure testing and vacuum testing teh freon lines before charging the system. The complete job was done in 1 day - something like 8 to 5. No surprises, no problems, no mess, no extra costs. They took care of all the paperwork, sent a thank-you letter, all the right stuff. There are cheaper systems and cheaper companies, but we are happy with our choices.

The price was fine or else I wouldn?t have gone with them. They were professional and punctual.

We had to replace our air conditioner so I got two or three other estimates and theirs was reasonable. It was also a bit of repeat business, since they did our furnace. They came out on time to do the work. I felt that since they had been around for a long time I could rely on their service. I would use them again in the future.

The experience went very well overall. The service went as planned and the charges were what they indicated they would be beforehand. I would use them again in the future.

Phil Favret came to my house himself to allow me to choose the new unit, and he was completely professional and personable. I did not compare prices with other providers because I had worked with Favret before and been pleased with their service. The new unit is a Carrier (larger and quieter than the old one) and seems to work very well. Work was inspected by the city. They did an excellent job.

The price was a little higher but it did work. They were on time and the job was done quickly.

They are very prompt; they also have fair prices. We have a plan with them where they do maintenance on a regular basis.

Well-done diagnosis and explanation of problem (primarily coolant linkage due to air conditioner age; funace even older, approx.15 years, also replaced); unpressured, well explained replacement options. Explanation and management of manufacturer and governtment rebates. Timely and efficient installation. Courteous, friendly personel. Prompt correction of minor problem.

They were prompt. The work turned out fine and there was no inside work. They had the price they needed on their truck. I personally feel all such companies charge too much.

They did a good job. It cost me a couple of hundred dollars, but it works now. They did the work the same day, which was very convenient.
