They will come out and check everything through the winter and the summer. They are very good. Their customer services is great. I would use them again.

In the end, the Favret technician was right - my AC needed replacement. But I am still wondering why they didn't change around the schedule to send someone else when it was obvious by 10 am that my assigned technician's prior job meant he couldn't get to me. And to have them charge me for that experience! The office wasn't great either. They were never outright rude, but that's as much as I can say for them. By far the worst repair experience I've had.

Our central A/C unit had stopped working over our vacation out of town. We returned at 8:30am on a Friday. I called Favret Heating & Cooling at that time. They were very professional over the phone. They clearly explained how they charge...$119 for the first 1/2 hour...etc. They gave us a window of noon-4pm to arrive and said they'd call ahead. They did just that. They called at 12:01pm, were here shortly thereafter. (Be sure to answer the call, they wait to dispatch their technician until they have confirmed contact with you. If you miss the first call, when you call back, they will call again when another technician is available.) The immediately determined that it was the capacitor that had to be replaced. He left to get the part and replaced it in a hour or so from the time he arrived. He charged us for the part around $110 plus 1/2 hour of service. He was very professional and I was comfortable having him in our home. I highly recommend this company!

They did a great job. They were very professional, pleasant, and efficient.

I was given a 1 - 5 p.m. window to wait for the technician to arrive. At 5 p.m., when I had not yet heard from them, I called the office. They reported that the technician assigned to me was busy with another call. They dispatched another technician, who arrived a little after 5:45 p.m. I do understand that technicians sometimes fall behind schedule, but I felt it was unprofessional for Favret not to call me to tell me they would be late. The technician who arrived, however, was courteous, professional, and he completed the work.

The original rough work went well, but after missing 1 small area that was overlooked, I had a tough time getting them back to complete the work. Once they did, they generated an additional invoice (for the original work agreed upon).

A friend recommended Favret Heating and Cooling when our air conditioner stopped working. I contacted Favret for an estimate to replace the evaporation coil. I spoke with Richard Sprowls about our needs. Richard went above and beyond what I expected before giving us an estimate. Even though I did not ask for a service call (we had already paid another company for diagnosis), Richard stopped by our house and sized our unit to make sure we had the proper size for our house before calling back with a quote. His customer service was exceptional. We chose another company to do the work because the other company's quote was slightly lower. However, I will always call Favret first for any heating and cooling needs in the future because of the excellent customer service I received from Richard.

The upstairs of the house never was cool until we did that. I am enjoying it. They've been good in all aspects. We've got a maintenance contract with them.

The service man, Tim, was very friendly, efficient and Professional.

Favret replaced a leaking gas valve supplying my furnace in middle of May 2012. The technician told me that he had tested the furnace to confirm everything was working after the valve was replaced. They charged $527 for replacing the gas valve. Later I found out that this type of replacement typically runs $250 to $350 depending on the price of valve. A couple weeks later we had the heat in 90's over Memorial day weekend & tried to run air conditioner. It did not work. I assumed that since Favret had tested furnace & blower that the problem was probably with air conditioning unit itself. We called them on Sunday at 1:00pm of Memorial day weekend & got an answering machine saying the emergency technician would call back. They never called back & we had to call them the following Tuesday. When they did come out the technician told me that the switch which must be made on the cover for furnace was loose & needed to be tightened. This was interesting since Favret had worked on it a couple weeks earlier & had said they tested it to work. This was an awfully big coincidence. My feeling is that they either lied to me & did not test the furnace or Knew the switch was loose & that this may generate another service call. The odds of this thing becoming loose between the time they tested & had to come back second time are almost zero. They went ahead & charged me another $70 for the second service call even after I complained to their service manager. There are better companies out there. We have use CARE heating & cooling without this type of problem.

They are kind of expensive and their times for appointments are a little tough. It took me over a week to get them out there.

After working very well for 12 years my AC unit simply stopped producing cold air. After reviewing Angie's List I decided to contact Favret Heating and Cooling. While they couldn't accommodate me the same day I called, they did offer me several appointment times over the next 48 hours. The technician arrived on time (and I was called 20 minutes before his arrival to tell me he was on his way), was very professional and very polite. Once I described the problem he examined all the possible components, cleaned the unit, and much to my relief, solved the problem in about 45 minutes. He determined that the problem was not, in fact the AC unit or the blower, but was simply a bad connection in the thermostat. The AC is currently working so I chose to not have him replace the thermostat. If the problem reoccurs I can make that replacement myself quite easily. I don't think I ever would have thought to check the connections on the thermostat myself so I am quit pleased with both the cost and the value.

The overall experience was a good one. The tech was professional and left no doubts as to the quality of his work.

They came on the 29th of March and they always call before they arrived by giving you a 20-30 minute window. Very professional, clean and efficient. They did a great job and explained all of the new equipment to my husband and I. Great Company and great installers. We are very pleased with the work and the new equipment we just received. Everyone there is very courteous and friendly and attends to your needs very efficiently.

It was the middle of winter and they worked me in quickly. They gave me a choice of options and didn't pressure me and the workmen were wonderful. They went above and beyond and reworked some drains that they did not have to do.

I purchased a deal for this company to inspect and clean my ducts. When they arrived, they did a thorough inspection and concluded that the unusual design of my house and placement of the ducts meant they would be unable to really clean them for me. They spent time explaining and showing me the problem and answered all of my questions completely. They refunded my money as they were unable to provide the service for which I had paid. I was extremely impressed by their professionalism and the amount of time they spent showing and explaining how my duct system works. I intend to begin using them for other heating and cooling needs in the future.

I am extremely happy with the recent service from Favret. From start to finish, everyone was great. I recently purchased a home that was built in 1920, and while the furnaces are relatively new, there were issues identified during my home inspection. My closing was pushed back several times, and each time I called to reschedule the dispatchers were understanding and polite. When we were finally able to have Jim come out, he was great. He is very pleasant to deal with and clearly knows his stuff. He was able to identify the problems and get the parts ordered quickly. He was very respectful of the billing time and worked efficiently. He also removed all the gas lines that were no longer in use (6 fireplaces, 2 gas heaters, and several gas lights) and made me feel very comfortable. I would absolutely recommend Favret and plan to hire them again!

They come out every six months for the service. They are prompt and efficient. They have good people working for them. I have been using them for ten years. I will use them again in the future.

I've been doing business with Favret since I bought my house in 1977 and have been pleased with their work over the years. They gave me an estimate over the phone. They installed the water heater and took out the old one. They cleaned up any mess they may have made. The work was done very quickly.

I did not realize that they would cut into the furnace, but maybe that is better.

It was a very good service. They were very informative. I even did a contract with them and I was very pleased.

The overall experience was excellent. They were punctual, responsive, and professional. I would use this company again.

They were expensive. This was the second time I've used them. They did a good job but I think anybody could have done the work of putting the freon in. They were quick and they were on time.

TERRIFIC!! Really the only thing that would have made it better is if it had been free :)!
