They arrived earlier than I thought they would which was great! Very nice and professional. Worried because I had just had work done on the unit in August. Got great news! It was only a breaker problem. Very happy and the service guy could not have been nicer! Would definitely use them again.

Very quick response to my service request. Was able to make the appointment within a couple of days. Sales Rep arrived at my house on time and was very thorough in checking out everything to be able to determine the best way to install Central Air in my house and to be able to give me an estimate for it.

They were honest, and they did the job quickly. When we had a sensor break within the first year of installing the furnace, they came out and replaced it. They were very timely.

We were very please with the technician Jim we always ask for him. He is such a delightful person, always arrives right on time, wears covers over his shoes to ensure he doesn't track into our home. He explained everything to us very well. He is very qualified and does a great job. He also cleans up well.

Old furnace reached end of life. Called Favret, got an estimate and then set up the installation dates. It took two days, by the end of the first day (5pm) they had removed the old furnace/AC and had the new furnace operational which was of extreme interest to us since this work was done in late february. The crew was knowledgable, polite and kept the area clean. Since it was February they came back in May to charge the AC since this was best for the system.

Honestly, what it comes down to is this: 10 times out of 10, I will choose to give repeat business to a service person who is honest and forthright. Jim could have replaced a bunch of parts in our furnace for an exorbitant cost, but instead he kept our costs to only the service time in an effort to help actually diagnose the actual problem. And, it was worth it to me to be able to pinpoint what was causing the problem so that if it comes back I can address it accordingly. Chances are good that Favret will get more business from me in the long run for being honest than if the technician had tried to sell me as much stuff at once as possible.
Description of Work: Our furnace would not restart after being off for awhile, despite the thermostat turning on and saying the heat was "ON". I found that if I tripped the circuit breaker, the furnace would come back on. We called Favret on Monday morning, and they came that same day. Jim looked at the furnace, and we couldn't get the problem to replicate. Rather than guess and start replacing expensive parts willy-nilly, Jim suggested we perform a test. He wired a jumper onto the furnace so that the next time the problem occurred we could test to see if it was the thermostat that was causing the problem. Later that evening, the problem occurred again, and we used the jumper to perform Jim's "test". It showed us that it WAS the thermostat, which meant that we didn't need to start replacing all manner of parts in the furnace itself. Jim returned the next day, and of course the furnace would not behave and display the problem. Instead of simply replacing the thermostat and causing us another expense, Jim took the thermostat off the wall, cleaned the contacts, checked all of the wiring connections, and remounted it. After that, the problem stopped!

They did a good job. They had a little workman's defect on the first day of the site bur they came back out promptly and took care of it. They addressed it fine. The seam broke loose after they left when they were fabricating it. I was satisfied with the work and the workmanship.

We have a service contract with Favret and receive two inspections during the year. A couple weeks ago we woke up and the furnace was not working. Called and someone came in a short time. A major part had burned out. They told us how much it would cost and got the parts installed. The furnace works fine know. All through the years we have had really good service from Favret Heating and Cooling.

Salesman worked with me to get discounts and promotions both from the manufacturer as well as the local utility company. All work was completed in the time frame proposed. Workmen were polite, showed up as scheduled and cleaned up as they went along.

Favret Co. found my two hot water heaters were not venting properly. They realized the heaters could not be vented where they were. They moved the hot water heaters to a new place, revented them, hooked them up, tested a number of safety features. They educated me on when and how to test and drain them. They capped the top of the old vent.

Did not go well. All they could tell me was that they were sorry I was told that.
Description of Work: I tried to contact Favret to put a new air conditioning unit at our home. I was told at the 2013 Home and Garden Show that they went to Marion to do this. I called the company today and was informed that they did not travel to Marion (even though I had the cash to put in a new air conditioner). They didn't need my money I guess. I also chose them because of the good reviews on Angie's List.

They showed me some of the dirt they cleaned out, I've never had my air ducts cleaned in the 27 years I've lived here. I used a coupon that they were offering on their website. Even without the coupon, it was still much less than what I was expected to pay. I've been using Favret Heating & Cooling for about 8 years after I purchased a contract on my furnace from them. They come in twice a year to do furnace and air-conditioning check ups. They have always been great to me.

Our furnace needed to be replaced. First American Home Buyers Protection Corp was insuring out home, note the was. When we called to report a problem with the furnace First American sent another contractor out to respond that contractor determined the furnace needed to be replaced. After seven days First American specified a brand inferior to the one we had, although with the same spec's. The brand was poorly rated by Consumer Reports so we decided to take a cash payment to replace the furnace and after negotiation they provided us with $900.00 to cover a furnace replacement estimated by Consumer Reports to cost $3,000 to 3,600.00. We did not renew our policy. Our neighbors have work done by Favert so after consulting Angie's List we called Favert. They sent someone to evaluate our situation and to provide us details with the systems they had available within 2 hours. We decided to purchase a complete HVAC system from them. They came the next day to install the new system. The installation took two days and went like clockwork. The installers were professional. We are looking forward to a trouble free HVAC system!

Our heat went out about 3:30 A.M. on Sunday in the morning. I deliberately waited until 8:00 A.M. to call the answering service to get one of their service people to come out to fix the problem. We had used Favret when ever we had a problem with our air conditioning but never had a need to call them for our heating until now. Since we had received such excellent and prompt service from them, that was the first company that came to mind. The woman at the answering service said she would have the person who was on call get in touch with us as soon as possible. The call from their service person on call came into our home at 10:00 A.M.. I explained the problem we were experiencing and he told me that he really had a lot of calls to make and they probably couldn't get to us until the next day (Monday 12/31/12). He then suggested that he could pass our request for repair service to the person who started later that day. I asked him to please do so because I didn't particularly want to be without heat for 24 hours. A short time later he called back and said he couldn't get his truck started and even if the did it would be after 4:00 P.M. before he could get to us. I asked him to contact the afternoon person to ask him to try to get to us. Around 5:15 P.M. I received a call from a different employee telling me he would be at our home around 6:15 P.M. to take care of our problem. He arrived at the time he said he would be there and had the furnace fixed in approximately 15 to 20 minutes.
Description of Work: Replaced the igniter on our furnace. We were only getting cold air.

I woke up on the 21st and the house was cold. I called Favret Heating & Cooling, the scheduler got back to me quickly. They had someone who was going to be working in the area and they had him come to my house first. He diagnosed the problem, had the part in his truck and the furance was fixed and running in an hour. Definitely will recommend them and will use them again.
Description of Work: They replaced the blower motor on my furance.

They got here on time. They went above and beyond, taking a part back to their shop to try & fix it instead of scraping the whole thing. They were great!

Favret did a great job. We use them every year twice a year to do an inspection of our heating and air conditioning system. They did subcontract out an electrician and I was not impressed with the work by that company. They left tools behind and the installation of the cables could have been better.

Favret is the best in the business for heating and cooling, in this case heating by boiler. Larry came out the day before Christmas and walked me through issues with my boiler to diagnose just what was causing my flooding problem. He explained to me my options and how to go about managing the system based on his findings. After monitoring the system as he advised the system has performed perfectly. The best money I've spent in a long time for good counsel, sage wisdom and pratical advice, all with the Favret personal touch. Thanks Larry, and Favret Heating and Cooling.
