We have used FAVRET for Many years for our HOME and OFFICE. Last fall we contacted them to get a quote on a NEW Furnace and A/C unit for our HOME. We had a BAD experience with the SALESPERSON and went with another company. (Also we had a bad experience with a Maintenance person coming to our OFFICE with NO FILTERS and the Filter information was clearly on our records.) I contacted Mark Favret and he wrote me a letter dated September 16, 2013 saying he was sorry for all of our bad service and "Our customer's patronage is important to us, and we sincerely apologize for not meeting your expectation of quality service." Well it is June 16 and we have not been contacted for our OFFICE A/C Maintenance. My husband called this morning and got a lady in "Dispatch." She said, not very nicely, "Well, you did not return your contract!" and she said she would look into it. That made me furious! I wrote a letter to Mark Favret explaining that I THOUGHT "Customer's patronage was important to them!" I also left a voicemail for Mark. Shortly thereafter "Greta" called to talk to my husband. I explained that I had just sent over a letter to Mark and she said that Mark wanted her to call my husband. Again, she said "Well, you never sent back your contract!" Dah! Cannot this company even fathom that perhaps the Mail got messed up and we never got it! She said "We have lots of customers that receive contracts and never send them back!" (Perhaps they should investigate the REASON for that---postal issues, poor service, etc.---but I guess they have so many customers it doesn't matter?) Then Greta said she would send over a contract and WHEN THEY RECEIVED PAYMENT they would put me on the books to be scheduled. I then asked HOW LONG of a wait would I have as it is already June and you get very busy with A/C calls when the Heat starts! She explained that she, herself, handled HOME servicing and I would have to talk to DISPATCH for a OFFICE maintenance. However, if I gave her a credit card for the contract IMMEDIATELY she could walk over to "Dispatch" and get me scheduled. Don't do me any favors! Wow! I felt like a Criminal that could not be trusted! I inquired about the fee and she said "It will be $291." I asked how much it was previously and she said "$268; it has gone up!" So not even a 'price break' for all the BAD Customer service. Well, I did some research and I called the company that we purchased our HOME Furnace and A/C from last fall. Since we are a small OFFICE building (1,100) sq. ft they can provide service for our OFFICE as well ---at a price of $198/year (a $93/year SAVINGS from Favret!) WOW! And....she scheduled me for an appointment and said I can even decide AT THE APPOINTMENT TIME if I want to be billed every time or sign a Contract! This other company is a Highly-rated Angie's List company as well. Naturally, I will NOT use FAVRET again and their "Sorry" letter was just WORDS---and it was NOT SINCERE!!! I know THIS review won't mean much since they have thousands but it does show that Customer Service can "GO WRONG" at any time with Highly-rated Companies!

The services and sales team were very friendly, professional, but also very honest in their recommendations. They did not try to sell me on services/products that were optional or not really necessary for my home. The new installation was great! The installation service man arrived earlier than expected and finished a few hours earlier than my original estimate. He was then followed up by the service man who reviewed his work and performed some final checks before transitioning out. The only callout I have is that they can get busy so you may need to be patient if you need to do an installation/services. I think this is common this time of year and it is worth the wait to have an experienced team perform your AC installation. Overall, Favret did an outstanding job and I would highly recommend them to others for all of your heating and cooling needs. I was very impressed with their service and am so happy I found them!
Description of Work: My AC unit recently broke (compressor went out). We called Favret based on a recommendation from a family member and they were able to evaluate the situation and recommended that we replace the old unit and lines and perform a new install. They sent a salesman the following Monday and he was very helpful with his suggestions for how to proceed with the work and then we were scheduled for Saturday for the new installation. The new installation was very smooth and was impressive.

Even though this is a very busy time for cooling service businesses, Favret promised to have someone out late afternoon the same day. To my surprise, I received a call within a shot period that a technician was in my area and could be here shortly. When Clay arrived, he was incredibly professional and friendly. I could tell that he knew his business very well, and in short order he cleaned the outside unit, replaced a failed part, tested the coolant levels, put everything back together, and cleaned up. I was so impressed at the care and service I received, and at the concern that Favret has for addressing my problem quickly even during a very busy time. I cannot say enough about Clay, the technician - he was really good!

They're excellent. The fellow that I talked said he was sure that it was not the problem that he was able to get it going and within a week it went out again. Then the next day it was a different guy who came and said that he looked up at the report of the other fellow and he came and said it was very difficult and I was lucky to find them because of the situation. He went on the tops and replaced it and we had joy the rest of the winter. They're very good in their response in fixing the stuff. They're both on time and did the work.

Favret, and our salesman Paul, were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. Paul was very knowledgable and quoted us a system that was the right choice for our situation and not just the top if the line model like other companies did. They were also very competitive price wise. The crew that did the install were all very professional and courteous. When a small dent was discovered on the new air handler they had another one delivered in quick fashion. Just shows the quality work Favret performs. Would absolutely use again for my HVAC needs.

They service and maintain our heating and cooling systems twice a year as part of the contract. They have advised us when we have needed new equipment and we have bought new equipment through them. Because of the contract, we get timely help when there is an emergency. We bought a generator through them. Unfortunately they did not know how to service this equipment effectively, and we had to find another provider for the generator. We also felt that they did not give us the full story on what owning a generator would mean (the noise level, limiting the number of circuits that could be on it, the once/week running for ten minutes, for ex.). They are very good with heating and cooling. Look elsewhere for a generator provider.

I have a service contract with them. They call and remind me and I schedule appointment. The price is worth it. I like their service people who come and they are very friendly to get the job done. They tell me the truth. I have an old furnace and they don’t try to sell me a furnace. They did work with me five years ago to replace my air-conditioner, recommended somebody and they did an excellent job. I trust them completely. Their price seems reasonable and fair.

The service and work was fine. However, when the owner's grandson serviced my home; my purse went missing. I reached out to the company and confronted the young man who continued to deny that he had stolen anything. I demanded to be reimbursed for my possessions and the company failed to acknowledge what had transpired, nor were they willing to compensate me for my belongings.

When this was brought to our attention in February 2013, last year, we immediately were involved from the top down. This occurred when we installed some equipment for you at your home in Hilliard. We immediately investigated this accusation. We found no basis for this after we searched the trucks that day. Our supervisor asked to help you search in your home for it and he was denied. There were several people from our company there at the time and a couple people that lived there. No one saw him go near where the purse was kept. We had our supervisor talk with you and family member to let us know if it turns up. We did not hear back from you for over 10 months. Our employees have not been accused of stealing from our customer’s home. People lose things and have a hard time finding them in their home all the time but they do find them. I awoke this morning to a cold house. My gas furnace was not running. I called Favret around 8:15, and a repairman arrived before 10. He replaced the blower motor and told me a second motor would also need to be replaced. He would order it and come back either later in the day or tomorrow. In the meantime, my furnace ran, and I had heat! He was back with the second motor at 12:45 and the repair was completed by 1:15. I appreciate such fast, courteous, professional service.

I kept hearing grinding noise whenever the furnace kicked on. It was louder in warmer weather when the furnace didn't kick on very often.In this very cold weather, I was afraid it would quit working and so I wanted a technician to check it out. I called Favret and they sent a repair technician, Andre, the next morning. He determined that the noise was from the draft motor and asked if I wanted to replace it. I said yes so he got on the phone to see if the motor was available. He was told that it was and I could hear the price on his speaker phone. The price was higher than I expected but I decided to do it now instead of waiting for it to quit working. Andre did a great job installing the motor and cleaning the furnace.
Description of Work: The technician, Andre, cleaned the burners and sensor and replaced the draft motor. I picked Favret because of their great reviews and their long record of Angie's List Super Service Awards.
