Nice Job - Cleaned out the dryer vent

Great, came on time, was thorough and cleaned what was needed.

The service technician was on time, professional and took time to explain the work he had done. We were happy with his work. However, I gave them a D for price. When I called to schedule the woman confirmed a 10 discount for Angie's list members and told me that the cleaning was 178.00 with the discount it would be 168. When I looked at my invoice there is a preprinted item for $79.00 for a Lifetime Guarantee, which is funny because the tech told me that this service should be repeated every 2-3 years. There is also a 49.00 Service Fee filled in. I questioned these and i was told that they are 'standard fees' and i needed to pay them. These fees were NOT explained to me on the phone when I schedule the service. I had been told the cost of having my dryer vent cleaned was $178.00 at the time I scheduled the service. After the added fees, tax and $10 off for Angies List members I was billed $230.40 This is not honest pricing.

James (the technician) called in advance and was prompt in his arrival. This job ended up being a non-routine situation with complicating factors. We knew the vent stack in our 70 year old home went up from basement two stories through the roof. But, what we could not see or easily access was the original oval gas furnace type elbow fitting that was tragically undersized with a 4 to 2 inch step down opening that had been jammed up into the vent when the original owner switched from gas to an electric dryer. See the attached photo for the fire hazard that existed. James assessment and troubleshooting skills were amazing! This man is funny, focused, smart, and extremely customer-service oriented. And his suggestion of a new vent out of the house a few feet beyond the dryer was the best long term solution for us, both in cost and quality-wise. The vent installation quality was excellent. Kudos to Dryer Vent Wizard for empowering its employees to do what make sense in regards to the customer. I highly recommend James as your service technician!

His assessment of our vent clean revealed an odd combination of complicating factors. .We knew the vent was a basement to roof 2 story stack in our 70 year old home. What we didn't know or couldn't access easily was that the connector pipe was an old oval gas dryer furnace configuration encased in cement that had a tragically wrong 4 to 2 inch reduction elbow jammed way up in it after the original owners converted from a gas to electric dryer. .See the photo to appreciate the fire hazard this hidden pipe created. James was amazing. This man is funny, focused, smart and exceptionally customer service- oriented. His proposal for new vent line a few feet out of the house was the ideal long term solution. It was, in fact, the optimal solution for us. Kudos to James and to Dryer Vent Wizard for empowering their employees to do what is best for the customer. I highly recommend James for your work from this company

The technician inspected the dryer vent and determined that the vent does not need to be cleaned at this time. He was prompt, professional, and knowledgeable.

By the time he left and I got suckered into their life long "membership" to get a discount on my next cleaning (it was something like 60 bucks) I wish I went with some else that charged a little more. He supposedly cleaned the vent, I'm not 100% sure that he did it right or even good enough. I can not see a lot of dryer lint that was supposed to be pulled out. I know there had to be a lot because I haven't had it had it done in a long time. When he saw the lint trap brush I bought at target he told me that it was not worth it and he would give me a better one,he had it in his truck. He bent my brush so it had a loop and the end, which I didn't notice nor did he tell me he had done it. So basically he "fixed" mine. What if I was going to return it? He shouldn't of touched it. He never left me a new brush. When I called him back that same day he told me that mine was a good one and he almost stole it. He had me sign a paper stating the cost which I really didn't understand. He explained it to me and I trusted that it was ok. He also told me that it was poorly written so I took his word for it. He said that he will send me a reminder card in two years ,he showed me the card with a date for two years from now. I trusted that it was right. Now I wish I never signed up for it. He was dishonest with me so why should I trust him now? Big fat mistake hiring them. Never again.

I paid for the cleaning but when it was checked the vent didn't need to be cleaned. The company refunded my money promptly.

I have a small laundry room and was taking delivery of a new dryer later in the day. Before Dryer Vent Wizard arrived I removed both the washer and dryer from the laundry area; only the dryer vent sticking out of the wall remained. The technician arrived at the designated time, cleaned the dryer vent approx. 26 ft in length, replaced the vent cover and was done in approx. 35 min. Based upon their "Check 10 Plus List" the technician only performed item 6, vent termination inspection while I ended paying for all 10 on their list. For the amount of work performed I paid a $49 service fee, $45 for a vent cover, and $151 for the cleaning; with sales tax the total was $246.33. I questioned the charge but was told I was already discounting his services. I already committed to have the duct cleaned before the new dryer arrived I forced myself to accept their fee. Based upon their pricing you are paying Dryer Vent Wizard $49 to come to your house and give you an estimate. If you need your dryer vent cleaned I would recommend you shop around.

James was very nice and courteous. He was also very knowledgeable. If I need dryer service again I will definitely call Dryer Vent Wizard.

Francis Coleman did an excellent job cleaning the dryer vent, as always! We are long time customers of this company (purchased a guarantee/warranty many years ago). Francis removed a couple of small items from the lint trap area, cleaned the back area behind the dryer and cleaned the dryer vent line. He also gave us a sanitizing brush to clean the lint trap holder for free. Francis was very pleasant and very efficient at his job.

Francis was sent for the job, and you couldn't ask for a nicer guy. He was very professional and thorough with his work. He even leveled my washer machine that had been off balance for a while. I ask for a none smoker because I have asthma and the smoke on peoples clothes affects my asthma. Francis was well groomed and a non smoker. Highly recommend this company. Excellent work!

It was just fine. I do not remember, so they must have been ok. I thought the price was a little high. They could have been a little less expensive. We also had our vent cleaned and found out that we could have our dryer vent cleaned at the same time so it was an unnecessary expense.

The cost for cleaning the dryer vent was ($178); the service fee was ($49); the service fee was not mentioned when I scheduled the appointment, so that charge came as a bit of a surprise. Prior to the service, my dryer was not drying efficiently, and there did not seem to be much air flow at the vent exit. The service person was punctual, polite, and efficient. The air flow through the vent is much improved. I am pleased with the service, but I feel the cost is a little high with the service fee included. I did apply a $10 Angie's List coupon which brought the total cost to about $230 with tax.

Technician did an excellent job, arrived on time, checked any lint build up in the dryer and started checking lint duct. He found the issue that is obstructing airflow. He removed the lint from external air duct and measure the air to make sure there is no other clogging. He advised us to perform duct cleaning every 2 years.

They were able to squeeze me in same-day. Tech was on time, professional, and very quick.

Seamless! On time, completed work, no attempt to sell additional services, professional and friendly. Measured air flow before and after. Dryer works well now.

Professional, courteous, helpful - ultimately let me use my Angie's List purchase as credit towards a better deal for what I needed. The cleaning dramatically improved the performance of my dryer. I was a little suspicious of having it done regularly, and bought a maintenance package warily, but when I saw how much better the dryer performed, I became a believer.

I was extremely impressed that he spent time explaining this to me and cleared out the outside vent area and gave me the brush with no payment on my part, only the promise of earning the payment when he would come next year and fulfill the contract. He was very honest about the lack of need at this time and I was very grateful for his honesty, wasted trip, and help! He could have cleaned it and I wouldn't have been any wiser. A very reliable and trustworthy company, if Mr. Coleman is any example!

Chris showed up exactly on time, and called ahead to let me know he was on his way. I badly needed a dryer vent cleaning after years of not having it done. The venting went from the first floor laundry room (center of the house), snaking down through the crawl space in basement, then up and out to the side of the house. It was also foil piping that is not the safest option. He replaced the entire venting pipe with safer material, and it was not easy to maneuver through the crawl space. Chris was totally courteous, fast, and knowledgeable. I truly believe he helped us avoid a potential fire that could have happened at any time. Will definitely be reaching out to Dryer Vent Wizard in the future, and recommend them to friends and family!

We had another provider clean our dryer vent, however, the clothes were still not drying. We contacted Dryer Vent Wizard who did a visual inspection on our roof and discovered that the previous company did not clean the vent completely. The technician removed the grate and cleaned it and we have not had any issues since. Would highly recommend this company.

I called for service on Dec 1 and had someone at my house the next day. James was the technician and I can't say enough good things about this experience. He arrived before the scheduled time which was great. He was very professional and checked everything out completely - even going above and beyond what was required. In addition to cleaning out the vent he cleaned out the bottom section of the dryer getting rid of lint and hair that had accumulated - at no extra charge. He didn't try and sell me extra services - just came in and did what needed to be done in order to complete and job well done. I would highly recommend this company.

Professional company- I bought a coupon on Angie's List and thought it was for dryer cleaning. It turns out it was for the dryer inspection fee only. [The category for the services was dryer cleaning and I interpreted what this incorrectly.] The cleaning fee of $171 for a dryer on the first floor caught me by surprise. the airflow reading did improve after the cleaning. They offered a lifetime guarantee option for $29 which I purchased that has a fixed fee for future cleanings.
