Dryer Vent Wizard of Central Ohio

They were fine. They weren't exceptionally friendly and I thought they were expensive but it was fine. The service was acceptable. I had to ask a lot of questions but they didn't offer a lot of information.

Can I give them above an A? The entire experience with this company was wonderful. The scheduling was easy, he was on time, and showed me everything and answered all my questions while he was here. A perfect experience.

One of the owners came out the next day to fix the problem himself. He put a screw to attach the dryer vent to the dryer exhaust system. There was no charge because of the lifetime guarantee of the Dryer Vent Wizard program (there was an initial charge for the vent line alteration and lifetime guarantee purchase approximately 8 months previous).

The men changed the connection to outside, checked the line in the attic (I'm in a condo) and checked all necessary function. The 2 men were polite, clean and didn't mind that I watched.

They had double booked the technician, Frances, but they called me and arranged a new time for him and he arrived on time, worked diligently and got the job done. He worked upstairs, in the crawlspace for quite a while, and then outside the house. During this time he made several recommendations for how we could better maintain the venting in the future and cleaned up after himself as he went. In moving our dryer the linoleum floor was damaged very slightly, but he brought that to my attention right away and offered us the option of fixing it himself or that the company would pay for a professional job. Frances did not have the proper equipment with him that day, but returned and fixed it very nicely in a couple of days. In general, I don't think you can ask for much more than a job done responsibly, on time, and to specification. Thanks!

There was a mixup with their scheduler and I was expecting him at a different time than the technician had been given so although the rating is only good for punctuality the technician worked with me and went out of his way to accommodate rescheduling. He arrived on time assessed the work and gave me an estimate which I agreed to and he performed the work and left the area cleaner than when he arrived.

Rick was our initial contact; he was very polite and professional. Francis Coleman was the technician who was also pleasant and professional. We had every confidence in his ability to drill through our stucco garage to vent the dryer properly. There was a question about the finished look of the pipe in the interior of the garage which was properly addressed and handled by Dryer Vent. As a result, we've noticed the clothes dry in less time and we're saving on electricity! We are very pleased with the end result.

I thought Rick and his company did a great job and I know the bird nest issue was not a pleasant thing - very nasty odor. I would highly recommend these guys. There is still a slight dead bird odor in our bathroom, but I don't blame the company. It's much better than before it was cleaned and when the fan is turned on you can't smell it at all. I believe it will eventually disappear.

Everything he did was professional. He had to cut a hole in the wall and he did a good job with that and with the clean up. I was very pleased and would recommend him to anyone.

The airflow was improved by over 50% according to the anemometer readings which were taken before and after. This directly affects the energy consumption of the dryer.

He was great, he was on time and prompt. Everything still looks good and is working just fine. It was stupid that the vent went into the garage but he fixed it for us.

They were very professional and well equipped to do the job and did a really good job. They were fairly expensive. I would recommend them to others and I would use then again.

There was some confusion over Rick's arrival time, but after I called to check on things, he arrived pretty quickly. He was there between 60 and 90 minutes, and was extremely professional from start to finish. We had replaced our old gas dryer with a new one that didn't work much better and thought it might be the vent. Sure enough, he found a clog, and the dryer now works fine. I thought the price he charged us was more than fair ($151 for the cleaning and $59 for the vent line alteration). I wouldn't hesitate to use Dryer Vent Wizard again or to recommend it.

Francis Coleman was the technician from DryerVent Wizard. He was a complete professional, explained everything and cleaned the vent and changed out the hoses on the washer. He made sure I had the right kind of ducting. He arrived on time, cleaned up, did a terrific job and was very careful with the hardwood floors. My neighbors were over to see what the work was and one asked him to come over and look at his vents and ducts and the other is going to use this company in the future. I will recommend this company and Francis to everyone.

I called Dryer Vent Wizard when another service provider could not remedy an issue properly. They came when they said they would just before a holiday weekend. They made the repair and made sure all parts of the duct were properly secured as to prevent similar issues in the future. Once they were finished my brand new dryer went back to working properly and I was very satisfied with the work. I would use them again.

I found this company on Angie's List. I chose them because of all of the good things I read about them. They were polite and the whole system works a lot better.

It was taking a long time for our clothes to dry and we thought it was time to clean the dryer vent. I called Dryer Vent Wizard to clean our dryer vent. He told me on the phone that he doesn't clean flexible, but that he could give me a price to replace it with rigid. He arrived at our house on time, looked at the project and gave us a quote. We had him do the work right then. He replaced the duct with rigid and showed us the old duct that was full of lint - a real fire hazard. He worked very efficiently and was a pleasure to have in our home. Our clothes now dry extremely quickly and we couldn't be happier.

Dryer vent has not been cleaned totally since a long run from dryer to outside. A relative recommended hiring someone to do the work and I found this company. Returned my call same day and made appointment for a quote. Work was completed quickly and professionally.

They were excellent, very responsive and appreciated we knew the quality of Angie's List and identifying them as a Super Service award winner. I met them at a home and garden show and then checked them out on the List.

He did not bother to remove the metal pieces that were holding the old vent in place and I would have like him to do that. They did come on only a couple days notice even during the morning of Michigan game. I'm not able to compare the effectiveness of the event because it was installed when we purchased a new dryer but it seems to be better. The tech was personable and felt comfortable with him in our home.

Rick provided great service. He evaluated the situation and didn't try to upsell me on anything I didn't need. My dryer duct was of good quality and didn't need to be replaced. It did need a good cleaning and he cleaned out my vent. He also replaced the existing outside hood with a new louvered hood. In all, he did a great job.

I contacted Drier Vent Wizard through Angie's List on recommendation of the appliance service company that I was using. They came out on a Thursday and recommended installation of metal vent piping. This was done in a few hours. The service person cleaned out the vents as best he could, but said that he would need to come back. The owner came the following Saturday morning and finished the job. Both Francis, the staff person, and Rick Gutridge, the owner, were courteous, prompt and very easy to deal with. I was a bit nonplussed by the cost, but I figured that if my dryer was safer and also lasted a few more years, it was well worth it. I would use them again. In fact, they recommended a once a year dryer vent cleaning for safety as well as shortening the line of the piping. I will probably do this later this year.

They set up an appt. at a convenient time. He showed up a little late but called to tell me traffic was very heavy and he was on his way. Mr. Coleman gave us an estimate and showed us what he was going to do. He had to drill through about 8 inches of concrete and brick facing on our house. He took measurements a few times before drilling to assure proper placement. There wasn't much space to work and it was near the gas meter also. But he worked around that just fine. He had everything he needed on the truck to go ahead and do the job at that time. It took about 2 hours to complete and he informed us of the time it would take before he began his work. He was considerate of our house, as it was raining, he wore booties in to keep things clean. He cleaned up any mess and left us with the dryer back in place, a nice hole drilled (where it should have been in the first place), all the venting pipe securely placed and taped, and a nice cover on the outside of the house. He came on time, was very courteous, and estimated two hours of work, which was exactly right. He provided a written estimate of the work, and after the work, he said that we should have no problems with the dryer. After the work, the dryer works fine, we are very satisfied. Their prices are not inexpensive, but I have a working dryer that is much more efficient than before.
