Dryer Vent Wizard of Central Ohio

Went great. Very punctual. Excellent service.

We originally had Dryer Vent Wizard to our home hoping we could reroute our existing dryer vent and move the location on the wall so we could stack our washer and dryer. However, after consulting, he thought the duct work was okay the way it was. He brought me outside to check the airflow and there was very little indicating a lot of lint/debris in the line. We had him change how the dryer was hooked up, clean the duct work, and replace the outside vent to prevent the accumulation of lint. Our dryer works much better now!!! We plan on having the Dryer Vent Wizard Back when we are ready to stack the washer and dryer but will need a contractor first to move plumbing and do some other work including taking out drywall. He recommended some really good solutions including recessing the hookups in the wall so we can get a tighter fit to the wall once they are stacked. He was very professional, on time and a pleasure to work with.

They did a good job. I found them to be prompt, and very professional. I felt their price was a little more than what I wanted to pay, but he did provide a good clean service. He took the time to explain details and the work he performed. It made me understand what I was paying for and the extent of his work. I will continue to use this company in the future.

1. despite my telling them it was a two person job to move the w/d from a very confined space, only one person showed up and could do nothing. 2. when he inspected the confined work site he realized that he could do nothing then, and he waived the initial inspection fee. He stated that he would have to reschedule and return. 3. He never returned or rescheduled. Clearly this job was more complex (as I initially stated to them) than theirusual cleaning a dryer vent within a home, a job that I would have done myself (as I have in the past) if it was that easy.

We bought a new dryer and the sensor on the dryer was telling us that there was a blockage so we had to have someone come in and clean the line. He actually ended up installing more. The price was supposed to be 100 bucks but it was more than that because he had to put on a different cord attachment to the dryer. The one we had wasn't the right thing so the price was more than what we expected. But, at the same time he had what we needed on the truck. He showed us what he pulled out and stuff. The family before us had five children plus two adults so they had a lot of stuff going on here for five years. We don't know if it was ever cleaned out or not but once he changed the thing, we've been running the dryer ever since and never had that signal show up again. So, we know that what he did was right. He hooked up the new hose to try and test the air flows through but because of the way the deck is on there and stuff like that he couldn't get his instrument in there to leave the numbers before and after as far as air flows through. So, he did try though which was the service we were not expecting. I would use them again if needed.

I called because I found out that my dryer was vented into the attic but not to the outside. The vent system inside the house was a foil and plastic flexible hose type of material which I had been told was not safe. Rather than just having the vent extended through the roof, I wanted a completely new vent installed. I called Dryer Vent Wizard based on Angie's List reviews. A man came out the next day to give me an estimate. When I accepted the estimate, he asked if I wanted him to do it immediately. I said absolutely yes, and he completed the work in a couple of hours using rigid metal ducts. He also pointed out to me that the hoses on my washing machine were worn and could possibly rupture and asked if I wanted those replaced with much better grade of hose. Again I said yes and he did that too. He cleaned up everything before he left. I was very pleased with his work.

It was a good experience. They also gave advice on how to keep it clean. They did a good job of hooking it back correctly. It was a bit expensive but it was helpful. They seemed reliable as they offered good advice and did what they promised.

They came out and gave us a quote. We were somewhat disappointed. We ended up contacting a seperate contractor that did some work. Dryer Vent Wizard wanted to run a line up through the roof, and that was going to be fairly expensive. The contractor was able to run metal vent piping through quite easily, and didn't have to do the kind of work that Dryer Vent Wizard was recommending. Given how it ended up finally being resolved, we would expect them to specialize in what they are doing. The idea was to replace the plastic tubing that was running through two floors, and it was a straight shot. It ended up a simple run of metal tubing. They didn't even consider that as an option. They were offering a rather inconvenient and expensive solution. For what they sound to be specializing in, they didn't seem to take advantage of investigating all of the possibilites.

I initially called the company because the tech who did our washer/dryer maintenance check said the vent looked pretty full. Also, a friend of mine had recently had a dryer fire due to the lint build-up in her dryer vent. I was very pleased with Francis' professional and courteous manner. He explained things well and answered all of my questions. I was amazed at how much lint was in our vent system! Now that the service has been completed, I am surprised at how little lint is floating around our laundry room. (We had quite a bit of lint coming into the laundry room prior to this service due to the vent hose not being sealed correctly.) Also, I can now run my dryer at a lower temp and still get my clothes dry. (Prior to this service, I was running the dryer on the highest temp to get things dry.) I will get my dryer vent cleaned out on an annual basis from now on.

I was very happy with their service. They arrived on time. They explained everything that they did. They took the time to clean up after themselves. I have been very pleased with the overall result. The dryer works better then ever.

The vent goes clear across our house to the back so it?s quite a distance. We are really satisfied with his service. He is knowledgeable. He is very professional and thorough.

Very well The Tech even helped to relocate the washer and dryer and spent several hours replaceing 24 feet of old dryer vent which was crammed into our finish basement dry walled ceiling/ rafter area.

He said he would check all the other closures, but I am not sure he did that, and so I was disappointed in that. He did literally take the big metal piping off downstairs where the birds were and took the nests out. He definitely solved that problem. I felt like I had to stay on top of him a little bit more, but he did the job.

From the time I bought my house 4 years ago, I had problems with the dryer vent. The dryer was brand new in 2005 and worked well until this house. The venting from the appliance to the wall never fit properly but I did the best I could with duct tape. When the vent came loose last week I was shocked to see tons of lint and debris clogging the pipe. I knew I had a serious fire hazard on my hands. I had to wait a bit for Dryer Vent Wizard but it was worth it. Francis was very professional - he cleaned out the pipe and replaced the venting connections - ensuring everything was in working order. I still can't believe how much better the dryer works. Before, a load of towels took 4 hours to dry. I did 6 loads of laundry yesterday and each was dry in less than an hour! Best of all, the safety factor of having all that gunk out of the pipes and my home. With as much laundry as I do with small children, I will have them back to check & clean the vent each year. I used this company and had such a good experience, I had to write a review. I used them primarily to clean our dryer vents bc we were having problems with our dryer drying the clothes. We thought we needed a new dryer. After they came out, they discovered the vents were completely clogged. Francis, the technician, spent quite some time cleaning out the 40ft+ of venting we had. After that, the dryer ran beautifully. Francis was punctual, polite and very thorough. He did a nice job of cleaning up as well. A few days later, one of our pipes came loose and fell onto our carpet. I called the company and Rick, the owner, came out I think the same day and spent quite some time securing the vent. I used them again just recently after we purchased a new dryer. The installers said the piping needed to be fit to the dryer properly and they were unable to do it. I got an apt within 5 days. Francis came out again and discovered that the installer had made a mistake and actually broke the piping during installation. Given this information, I called the installers and recieved a refund for my charges from Dryer Vent Wizard. I love this company and would definately use them again.

He arrived on time. It was a wet day so he put blue booties over his shoes when he came into the house so as to not track stuff onto the floor. He answered all of our questions and cleaned up when he was done. He was very polite. (Our service technician was Francis Coleman.) My wife and I are very pleased and highly recommend him!

Seemed to go OK. Technician explained the issue and risk and I decided to replace the flexible pipe -- ~20' with rigid. Work was performed on schedule and very professionally by technician.

The service person was right on time. My problem was that it was taking 3 cycles of drying to get my clothes dry. He tested what was my current vent and it was not venting any where near where it should have been. Whoever put it in had it running the entire length of my basement with 2 bends and I am sure it was full of lint. The service person did the work on Friday afternoon, which I was impressed with because I was expecting him to tell me he needed to come back when he had more time. It took about 2 hours from start to finish and it tripled the output of my dryer. My dryer itself was also running very hot and he told me that was a fire hazard. He replaced my existing connection. I did laundry over the weekend and it took about 1/3 the time it had been taking me.

Very efficient work, arrived on time and made quick work of a difficult line.

The technician knew what he was doing and had all the right tools. He spent an hour and a half at the house and was very neat and clean.
