It was great! They were very easy to work with and knowledgeable.

They were punctual, neat, and the dryer vent that they installed reduced my dryer run times by more than 50%.

Tech arrived within 5 minutes of scheduled time. Used "booties" in my house to prevent soiling my carpets. Had a difficult time finding the exit of the vent outside, but was able to finally find it. Found a bird's nest in the vent on my roof. Removed the nest and added some kind of trap door which will allow the lint to blow out but prevent anything from coming in. Tech was very courteous and professional. I would not hesitate to use this company again. I used a different company about a year or so ago (Whimpys) because the AF (air flow) code was showing up on my dryer every time. After Whimpys left, I immediately continued to have the same code. I have done several loads of laundry since Dryer Vent Wizard cleaned my dryer vent and I have not had the code since. It now only takes one run to dry my clothes instead of three or four runs.

Francis was prompt and thorough. I had told the company I had plans for later in the day and they were able to get here ahead of schedule which was a big help. Cost was a concern and Francis was able to keep costs down for me, to the price I was expecting to pay. He also showed me how to take care of some of the upkeep myself and reduce the cost of running the dryer. I am very pleased and would use them again.

Mr. Coleman's work was overall exceptional . He cleaned the dryer vent and the area around the vent. He showed me how must lent was removed and was very nice.

My dryer wasn't drying - I figured out, after some research, that it had to be a blocked dryer vent. Looked on Angie's List, called Dryer Vent Wizard, and they were able to make an appointment the next day. Francis arrived 15 minutes early, was very polite and professional, and diagnosed the problem almost immediately - I had water condensate in my (ridiculously long) dryer vent hose. It was not merely a lint blockage but steam had condensed in the hose and the water was completely blocking it. The hose couldn't be replaced, since the setup was not actually code-compliant (the residents of the house before me got creative and ran the dryer vent hose through a crawl space under the house for like 30 or more feet), and Francis brainstormed with me the ways to solve the problem. The best way was to vent through the ceiling and out through the roof. They made an appointment to return and do the work, and again they were super prompt - called an hour or so ahead and asked if they could come early since their previous job had just finished. Both guys were careful to wear booties in the house, cleaned up after the job, tolerated my constant questions, and worked quickly. It cost about 500 dollars all told - more than I wanted to pay but less than I feared it would be. They did give me an estimate beforehand, and deducted the cost of the first visit from the final bill. It was all round a very pleasant experience working with Francis. I was disappointed that he didn't help me deal with the 30+ feet of disconnected, water-filled dryer vent duct left in the basement crawl space - it was not reasonable to expect that to be an easy fix for me (it wasn't), and it would have been just a few minutes' effort for the two of them to pull that out. I did ask for help with it, and he said he would help, but they left without doing it. It was not a big deal but they missed the chance to do a complete job that would have been much appreciated. Francis also told me that they would put something around the pipe where it went through my ceiling (like a molding of some type) but that did not happen - perhaps I misunderstood him. I do feel like they did a good job, and I would definitely use them again, but I would be a little more scrupulous about following up on details like that. It's hard for me to judge the quality of the work, but the dryer is working fine and no problems so far - I'll update this if a problem crops up.

They cleaned my dryer. I had other companies do this previously, but Dryer Vent Wizard had a really good system working. They did a really good job. For instance, there was an area on my deck that I didn't realize was there. They cleaned the area where the vent comes through on the outside. I was really impressed that they showed me how the vent works and how they cleaned it. They educated me on the entire process. I like that their work came with a gaurantee. They really went the extra mile.

We had been having problems with a lot of humidity in our laundry room and decided to have our dryer vents clean to see if that would help. The service man arrived (on time) and after some research, he determined that the dryer vent at disconnected in the wall. He asked him to go ahead and fix it (and clean out the vents). Everything is working better then ever.

I called the Dryer Vent Wizard because one of the plastic flaps on the exterior of the vent came off, and lint was sticking out of the vent. I checked Angie's List, and they had an "A" rating. I was given a time-frame between 11am-1pm. The technician (James) gave a courtesy call at 10:30 am and was on-site at 11am. He looked at the overall vent system and measured the length. He identified the existing aluminum foil duct as a potential fire hazard and recommended replacing with rigid and semi-rigid aluminum. I went ahead with his recommendation, and he connected this duct to a rigid metal duct that went into the attic and vented out the side of the home. The outside vent cover consists of 3 plastic flaps, one of which had fallen off and crumbled easily when I picked it up. He replaced all 3 plastic flaps to match the others in the condo complex. He recommended replacing this with a solid flap he showed me, as birds were less likely to get in. If it was up to me, I would have gone with this change as well, because I have lived in apartments in the past and have seen birds fly in and out of vents with this same design. Howerver, that was not up to me, as I live in a condominium complex and the condo association would have to approve this. Overall, this was an excellent experience. James was very professional, prompt and courteous. He was very knowledgeable and gave good and useful recommendations. I would recommend the Dryer Vent Wizard and will use them again.

They were very prompt. Didn't need to come in the house to install the new part on our second floor. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

The guy came to look into the project and even made suggestions as to how he could do a better job with access to another vent. I really appreciated his honesty since I would have not known the difference. His name was Francis and I would highly recommend this company.

I asked them to come out to clean my dryer vent. When they arrived, they suggested I get an entirely new dryer vent, because mine was not safe and no longer acceptable. They efficiently performed the service and cleaned up after themselves. I felt the price was a little high, but I also wanted it taken care of. My biggest problem was that they were supposed to be here at 8:30. Someone called at 9:10 to say they would be out within an hour, with no apology or reason for lateness. They finally arrived about 9:30-9:45, but I would have appreciated the courtesy of an apology or at least a reason for their lateness. I assumed my 8:30 appointment would be the first one of the day, so I could not understand why they would not be on time, as they had suggested the time.

Technician arrived on time and was neat and clean. He installed a solid metal pipe from floor to the vent (about 7') and installed a new animal-resistant cover on the outside. Technician was very courteous and professional. I've read the many positive reports on this company and the comments from the owner about pricing. Yes, prices are quoted by the job, not by time spent. Even so, it is my opinion that the prices are about 40% too high. I believe a fair price for the work performed would be about $150, not $212. I liked this company, and will possibly use them again when I need the new vent cleaned. The work was very well done and the technician was extremely professional. Just be prepared for the costs to be a bit higher then one might suspect.

Troy arrived right on time. Very friendly. Actually called from the truck when he arrived which was very helpful in avoiding a barking episode by the dog and waking the kids up (I appreciated that with such an early a.m. service). I spent a few minutes telling him about the excessive lint laying around in my laundry room. Told him that my towels had a funky odor to them (even though they were clean). Upon inspection, he discovered that the hose connection had detached from the outside vent area so the hot air (and lint) from my dryer was blowing all around my rafters (I have a drop ceiling in my laundry room). My existing line was full of lint...and thick! He had to work pretty hard to get the line attached to the outside hole are... there were a bunch of pipes in the way and frankly I don't know how he did it... that would explain why my existing system was so jerry-rigged in the first place- probably the previous owners did not want to spend the time (or money) to put it in right. (I hope it's hooked on there tight now... we shall see). He cleaned up afterwards with a shop vac which was appreciated greatly! When we went outside to inspect the outside vent, he said that the cover was not ideal for a clothes dryer vent - it was fine for a bathroom vent but for a dryer... the lint would continue to build up (like it was when he inspected it) in the tiny holes. I purchased a vent cover (pricey!) that had 2 flaps that blow open when the dryer is on (purposely designed to keep birds and other critters out) and he installed it in just 2-3 minutes. Service overall could have gone faster (he had to break for a few personal phone calls and he got off track chatting about his family, etc.) but it was not a problem. I didn't have anywhere else to be. I felt that he knew what he was doing, that he was taking his time to do a quality job, and I had a good comfort level when he was done. Of course, I was not thrilled with spending nearly $300 on this (I kept thinking... I could just go to Home Depot and get some piping and stick it in myself, right? NOT!!! I had to be realistic... anything I would have tried to do on my own would have probably been sub par anyway. I need to admit to myself that I can't (nor do I have to) do everything myself. Having this company come out and install everything properly gives me peace of mind; plus he he said I really wouldn't need maintenance again on it for 2-3 years. I will definitely call them again when that time rolls around.

We used the Anglie's List "Big Deal" for Dryer Vent Wizard and we feel we got our money's worth and then some. The repairman was prompt and professional. He told us that the plastic "accordion" style vent we were using for our dryer was a fire hazard, prone to clogging and no longer standard usage. He suggested an alternative dryer vent and said we would notice an immediate improvement in how our clothes dried. And we have. What might take two cycles to dry now only takes one and of course that saves us money in electricity not wasted. The vent was cleaned thoroughly, which was something it badly needed. We were very pleased with Dryer Vent Wizard and would not hesitate to use them again or to recommend to others.

It went well, he showed up promptly. With the solid pipe being installed, I have a hard time cleaning.

I called Dryer Vent Wizard to get a cost estimate for dryer vent cleaning. Their response was "It starts at $80" but they said it could be more depending on what they find. Shame on me for not asking how much more. Their service person was prompt. After testing the vent, they said the line was blocked and that it would be $285 for them to clear the line. We paid because we needed the line clear, he cleared the line and the dryer is working again. I think it is extremely unprofessional to tell a customer that the charge to clean your vent starts at $80, but if the service person actually has to do any type of vent cleaning, they actually charge you 3x as much. If it costs $285 to clean the vent (the only service they advertise) I can't imagine what service they actually provide for $80. Check to make sure your dryer is plugged in? Remove lint from the lint trap? I will never ever use this company again.

It was terrific. I now know that my dryer is safe and that I'm taking the correct precautions to keep it that way.

Service provider arrived on time, & covered shoes (nice touch). He was polite and infomred me as to what the process would be. He also showed the results of the pre-cleaning and post-cleaning evaluation of air flow. I would use them again.

Our dryer was taking over two cycles to come close to drying our clothes. Mr. Coleman arrived on time (maybe even a few minutes early!) and went to work. Our anemometer reading started at a 6.2 and was a 19.5 when he was finished. I have since done five loads of laundry in the time it would have taken me to do one- maybe. He cleaned out our line and replaced our foil connection. He was very professional and nice. Would recommened.

The man was very coordinal and professional. My only critique is that we ultimately couldn?t agree on what I wanted to do.

He was very attentive. He knew exactly what he needed to do. He took measurements of air flow before and after to let me know. He also recommended that I have it done once a year. I was very happy with all aspects of the service.
