Dryer Vent Wizard of Central Ohio

Outstanding experience! Here's what I learned since having my dryer vent cleaned a couple of years ago. Many companies that used to do this sort of work as a sideline (i.e. chimney sweeps, HVAC firms, home repair firms, etc) stopped because it is truly a specialized service that requires a dedicated, trained staff. These other firms would run into issues and would find themselves uable to properly address them. The folks at Dryer Vent Wizard are truly experts. Even though my dryer vent was a "dream job" (no corners or turns, hard piped, straight shot from the dryer outside, easy access underneath and to all points), I did not flinch at the $150 cost because I know for sure that the job was done right - indeed, vent is extremely clean! The tech Jeremy was very polite, professional and gave us pointers on how to keep the vent as clean as possible between cleanings. So if you even THINK you might need to clean your vents, you definitely do. Call these folks right away. Also job was done within 3 days of calling them.

See above comments. I simply asked for an estimate and apparently it counted for the "ten point" inspection. From the beginning I had to call the company to get them to come out - no one responded to the email I sent when orginally looking at companies to come change out my dryer vent. The sales person was on time and nice but the entire call took about 15 minutes. He measured the vent in the atic, told me the cost. I had to ask about discounts for Angie's List members. He said that if I went with them that day he would not charge me the $50 for the "ten point" inspection which I am quite certain did not happen. He didn't inspect anything other than looking at the dryer vent to measure it for the estimate. I told him I was simply looking at prices, he ran my credit card for the $50 and left.

Received phone call from them on 2/11/2013 to see if we wanted our dryer vent checked. We had them install a new one several years ago. Made appt for 2/15/2013. The whole process took about 15 minutes. He explained in detail what he did, and left us a brush so we could clean out the lint catcher on our own. Very nice experience. Would recommend them to all.

Great job! James was efficient and commutative during the whole process. He even cleaned all the lint from the crawl space (he did this without any prompting on my part). I will definitely be calling on James and Dryer Vent Wizard to maintain our dryer!

Excellent service from initial email till service was completed! My request for quote was replied to within hours and appointment set for 2 days later. I am traveling out of town and they worked with my schedule. Day of service the technician (James) called to say they had finished earlier with previous client and was able to come earlier. James was great at explaining the services needed and completed service in under an hour!! Would definitely recommend Dryer Vent Wizard and will use them again when the time comes!

We were referred to Dryer Vent Wizard after a repair of our dryer revealed that there was lint build up, and that some of the lint had actually been blackened from overheating! We had considered having the vent cleaned before, but had questioned the real necessity as we always clean the lint trap after every dry cycle and regularly use a dryer brush to remove any lint that may be deeper in the dryer - but seeing is believing, and we knew we needed to have it done. We saw the reviews and coupon on Angie's List and contacted Dryer Vent Wizard. In less than a week, Francis Coleman (head technician) was at our home. He was very friendly and knowledgeable. He ran a test for airflow before beginning to clean the dryer and dryer vent, and then proceeded to clean the dryer and the vent (that runs across the basement, with a few dips in it in which lint collected, to the outside). It was amazing the amount of lint that had accumulated! He checked the airflow again after completing the clean (letting us see the readings), and it had improved dramatically. Francis even went a step further and replaced our dryer vent connection, which the original installers had improperly installed. (Total time for the entire visit: about an hour-and-a-half.) Our dryer is now running much more efficiently with dry times noticeably reduced, and we feel much safer knowing that a potential fire hazard has been removed! We were comfortable having Francis in our home, finding him to be very friendly, helpful, and professional, and he will be the one we will call the next time we need to have our vents cleaned.

Overall good, I feel the price was good, but don't have any comparision data.

I had paid for the Big Deal but when Frances checked everything out he said it would be less than I pad for the Big Deal. He then had his office refund the difference to me. He obviously didn't have to do that. I will always use this company.

They showed up at the appointed time. They were very efficient and cleaned out the dyer vent quickly. They showed me a 5gal bucket full of the lint they cleaned out of the vent. My dryer worked great with this cleaning.

I bought a big deal from this vender...they were punctual and professional but i just wanted them to clean my dryer vent and they tried to sell me something that was three or four times more than the actual deal I paid for. I told them I was not really interested in doing the extra work and they were not able to clean the vent I had. I did not use the service and will not use in future.. They did offer to let me use the big deal amount toward the purchase of what they wanted to do but it was really not what i wanted...If I knew ahead of time that they would not be able to clean my dryer vent then I would have not purchased this big deal.. i was also planning on buying a new dryer

They came out and performed dryer vent cleaning for us and did a really good job. They showed up on time, explained thoroughly, and offered a great price.

Had dryer vent cleaned for the first time in 8 years and it has made a world of difference. I thought the $200 seemed pricey, but the results are worth every penny. My clothes have never dried so quickly and it is a time saver. James Hammond was professional and provided excellent customer service. He even made a follow-up call later in the day to make sure we were satisfied.

I am VERY pleased with the service!! I have a very long length (runs the depth of the house itself) of vent with several turns and have had issues with buildup of soggy wet lint. The technician cleaned the dryer itself, the entire vent from the laundry room to the outside as well as getting into the vent itself in the basement to make sure that he'd gotten to everything. I can now report dry time is reduced at least 70%!! Jeans that took 2 hours or more to dry are now under 40 minutes. WONDERFUL! I have had the dryer vent cleaned two other times at this house and neither of the other companies did as thorough a job as this company. I will definately use them again.

My dryer overheated and blew a fuse. The dryer repairman said there was a large amount of lint that caused the dryer to overheat. He removed as much as he could, but strongly suggested we have the vent/tubing cleaned out and not to use the dryer until then due to the safety risk. I called the Dryer Vent Wizard and was able to get an appointment the next day, which was a Saturday. I was really surprised to not only get an appointment so quickly, but also on a Saturday! The technician arrived on time, worked quickly and was able to answer all of our questions. We were very pleased.

The workperson came in, looked at my vent and suggested strongly that I change the vent. He said that I could use the purchase price of my Angie's List 'Deal of the Day" toward the replacement. As a consequence, there was no deal. I paid the full-price for the replacement of the a dryer vent at the suggestion of Dryer Vent Wizard.

James replaced the hose with a new fireproof metal one, cut a new hole to the outside and was able to re-route it from the back of the dryer straight outside. He cut off and disposed of the old hose and made sure the hole was covered, installed a new outside cover. We are very pleased with the work he did and thankful to have the problem resolved. From start to finish the work that was done was accomplished in just one hour. We were given the discount we were expecting and were charged about $300. Thanks for a job well done!

They came very soon after I called them. After they cleaned out the dryer it worked a lot better and dries everything in about half of the time it did before.

Good service. He as polite, neat, cleaned up after performing work. Seemed a bit expensive for a fairly simple job.

This was the second time I used Dryer Vent Wizard and again they did not disappoint. This time I used them for a dryer vent cleaning, the first time I used them to run a new dryer vent line. Both times they were on time, professional and curtious. I will use them again

Dryer Vent Wizards came and gave us a proposal, we agreed to it and they made it happen. He scheduled a work day, was on time and revented the dryer to the outside of our house. Excellent job.

Francis, the technician, arrived 5 minutes early and performed the services accordingly. He also replaced my foil pipe with a semi-rigid pipe at my request. The entire job took about 35 minutes. He was professional and courteous and I will definitely call on this company again in the future and refer them to my friends,

They cleaned the vents and it was the second time that I had used them. The second time that I used them was much smoother than the first, as they had to cut a vent hole to clear out the vents. They were professional and courteous.

We had had some birds nesting in our dryer vent and wanted to get everything cleaned out before we put a grate over it to prevent another bird taking up residence in our vent. He seemed very thorough and very nice and polite.
